  • YAY FOR BLACK DOTS!!! I have them on my kit and I love them to death. Great for Neil stuff

  • 1:52 = pretty tight.

  • not bad dude

  • I think there are details that were very well played and noticed.... very good !

I noticed only some time lag in some parts.

    9/10

  • wow, awsome sound, well done dude! managed the ghost notes, too!

  • It's not too bad, dude. It aint Pauliewanna, but it's better than I can do. All in all your ok, but relax a little bit, your pounding the pooh out of those drums

  • I agree with flipperman on all counts... It also seems like your timing is at moments slightly rushed and at other moments dragging. But, a nice video indeed.

  • That was nice, good job!!!! I love that kit!!!

  • excellent. i need to learn those fills

  • Not bad..... Definitely can tell you've listened to that song waaaay too much!!

  • That was good

But the snare fills with the double strokes, phlams, and rolls aren't how they should be

  • It's a cover.

  • lol ive never seen a drum set that blocks every last inch of the floor around u nice drummin man

  • nice chops but your meter is a little off try playing with the music not to it good luck

  • wow...

  • The left hand on the hi-hat at 1.29..cannot do that for all the money in China......oh well, should keep praticing.....

Well done - nice and tight

  • Wait, you can't play the hi-hat with the left hand? I'm not making fun of you, just seeing if I got the statement right.

  • how many fuckin symblols does he have?

  • Is this a serious question? I wouldnt say Primus has this much talent. Its YZZ, By Rush

  • Sreybk wasn't far off. At the beginning of John the Fisherman from the live album Suck on This, Primus do the intro to YYZ.

  • holy shit man!!!

  • jesus!! nice damn kit you got there!

  • where is your groove man?!!

  • Congratz man great job !

  • it was good, but nothing compared to neil

  • Awesome dude.

  • I agree with some of these guys. Your timing is off in a few spots, and not only in this video. You miss coming in on time in the breakdown. Lots of your cymbal crashes are off time, around 3:20-3:24. You just don't have the feel. You know the song, just groove it.

  • man talk about a decked out drumset

  • Kuzin, nice drumming man. Peart's got some awesome stuff going on there...you'll have to teach me how to do the fill-in at 1:56 :D

  • hey rob ifyou are EVER intrested ill loveto buy some toms from you such as 8''10''14''&18'' if ever intrested contact me first, ok? thanks man-Landon Phillips

  • Hey Rizzo, is your dick that small.. or are you that fat/gay/lonely/nerdy that you have to not only post on here Once bashing this guy.. but Twice.. what the fuck is wrong with you? this guy is most likely better than you will ever be.. so shut the fuck up you dumbass prick OH AND ANOTHER THING IS WHERE ARE YOUR DRUMMING VIDS? I DONT SEE EM... bitch

  • lol,internetwar!11!!!

  • lol rizzo you're a jerk. he at least has the balls to post a video for criticism by jerks like you. not only that, but he's good.

  • douche bag

  • @rizzo4077 This made me laugh today. Not the comment, just your ignorance. And for that I thank you.

  • @rizzo4077 how about you go to my house and get a fist in your face for disgracing this awesome drummer

  • Yeah you suck.

  • I don't get it.

  • you have to improve your tempo play!!!! Sometimes you are out of the music

  • great job, keep it up!!!

  • Hey dude great job!

What kind of things do you use to make this incredible sound?

    Cheers from Chile!

  • nice kit

  • very nice

  • nice drumming man

  • "Opinoins." Don't you love them? They're like assholes, everyone has one. =p

I don't know how many videos I've watched on "YouTube", (mostly "Rush" realted) (and this isn't my only "YouTube" accont) but I think I have more fun reading some of the funniest comments. Everyone's a "Critic." lol! (Btw, I'm not "KuzinRob", just saying this in case someone goes to my channel and notices I haven't seen that many videos. Like I said, multiple accounts)

  • god thats a big set

  • tune your snare differently. everything else sounds good but your snare

  • nope, its great , do you like snare farts?

  • No offence but it was a bit sloppy in places. Definitely a good job though.

  • OMG mike portnoy is the f in drummer of dream thetre! ur an idiot.

  • are you the drummer of dream theatre? i tjink you have the same drum set? eh?

  • Great cover of a great drummer.

  • Very nice work, man! I just posted my version of YYZ to you, let me know what you think!

    Ray

  • wow your really good and that set is the beautifulest thing I have ever seen must have been very expensive keep rocken dude!

  • your off on some of your parts, just by less then a 1/16th a beat, but then again your not neil peart....

  • Very professional and loved every minute, I bet that set cost you a pretty penny too.

  • i never saw such a big drumkit :D

  • nice job!

  • dude holy shit ur like really really good

  • The only thing that would have made that cooler would be James Earl Jones saying "I just pooped my pants..." at the end. :P

  • whats the first?

  • Hey kid down there, shut the fuck up, have you ever played drums? It's like the 2nd hardest instrument ever, go fuck yourself moron. Don't listen to that douchebag hes just jelous.

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • Good Job! Few people can do YYZ this accurate, even if they had a kit like this. I can only dream of ever doing it.

  • hey man great job. watch ur timing around 2:29. everything else was great. try to loosen up with your arms a little bit. your ghosting is great.

  • WOW YO MEXICANO GOOD

  • Infestedduke is idiotic. you did amazing and very likely better than what he can do. You should try doing down with the sickenss from disturbed. but i dont know if you like that music. oh well. keep up such great work! peace.

  • WoW!!! Amazing! Very good job ;)

  • awesome job, that dumbass is a moron. you rocked the song.

  • Very nice dude, i play guitar but my brother plays drums, and i know its hard...

Lol, Neil Pearts solo has gotta be just impossible though...

  • please stop ur garbage ur hurting my ears your timing is hooooooooooooooorible and i agree with justice ur trying too hard with the right arm and u look as sad like ur mom just died u dont even seem to be having fun thats why u suck

  • Do me a favor and act your age.

  • your so called "insults" are incredibly lame, and how can you even see his face when its faced forward and the camera's at a backward angle

  • @infestedduke go suck a dick

  • thats the best one ever well other then neil pert but other wise thats insane

  • Excellent Job..I think some people are talking out there asses here..I want to see there videos! I think I spent most of the 1980's trying to figure out that song in my parents garage.Keep us the good Work..

  • you were pretty off with timing, tuning, accenting, you sound and look too excited. but you have a good right hand on the ride.

  • i hate this cover already i prefer that kid doin it ur shit tbh

  • Hi Nathan, I'd love to see your drumming videos.

  • LOL KR.. you need to look up his posted BTB vids... he wouldn't know good music if Mozart himself played for him.

  • I don't like your style... you seem like your using every last bit of energy to play it, and your timing is off. You are trying way to hard with the right arm. Ease up a bit.

  • Yeah, I noticed it myself, and I've since repositioned my kit so it's more comfortable to play on. It was a matter of things being out of reach.

  • Are you the Rob playing in artok video?( subdivisions )

  • Nope. I was 2 years old when that video was recorded (1984).

  • dude you're a beast are you playin one or bass drums?

  • One bass drum with a double pedal.

  • Like a flammed pedal or a double stopped pedal?

  • much to learn you still have.

  • pretty damn good man, nice sounding kit too. I'd like to hear La Villa Strangiato if you're up to it :P

  • having covered both of these songs at one point or another, i can tell you that strangiato actually isn't that hard. the solo section is weird, but the basic hihat polyrhythm isn't that hard at all; nor is the characteristic peart bell pattern on the ride. the song is a test of endurance though, and parts of the 7 section are weird. i would say YYZ is harder overall

  • If you think that guy has many drums, check out Terry Bozzio !

  • Or Neil Peart himself eh?

  • Sounds awfully stiff

  • You need to work on using more wrists then arm for your drumming. But you did a Amazing job with the song. Every thing was great, And Awesome fills.

  • Dude...omfg! this is fucking sick! I drum and this song is friggin hard to play, it's amazing that you can remember everything AND add all those extra parts! Hats off to you!

  • dude, that was amazing, good job on the ride parts and the rolls around the toms

  • I love that part when the 2 symbols are hit. Lmao, gets the crowd jumping.

  • i dont think ive ever seen so many drums on one set at once......thats amazing i dont know how you keep tracks of what sounds go to which drums.....awesome job

  • bmon66 fuck off u ass hole he did a awesome cover of that sound IT sounds better with all the extras in it and i bet ur not canadian

  • I dont know everyone else but YYZ is actually the best song from rush IMO and the best song I ve ever heard in my life!

  • my you sure are good. i just really learned the drum part last month and am working on it. i think what bmon66 was saying was that you do alto of ghost notes when it should be snare-less, sort of got my nerves too.

  • i should shoot you, you ruined a awesome song! you put to many extra stuff in!!! i hope your not Canadian

  • Let's see you try. What did I "ruin?" No, I'm not Canadian. I hope you're not actually a Rush fan.

  • Fuck you bmon. he didn't ruin this song. and guess what? I'm Canadian! so now what, you gonna find out where i live and kill me cause i play hockey? You know what you can suck my big fat hairy balls.

  • wat kind of set is that?

  • Tama Rockstar

  • thx

  • DUDE!! ur a f*cking monster, i play drums and i just started but all i can do of that song is the beggining, what kind of symbols do you have???

  • if this is any help the beginning of the song is played to morse code of Y Y Z (airport code for toronto) -.-- -.-- --.. when i found this out, it helped me with the part when the drums switch to the ride in the beginning.

  • hey if we have a nuclear war..you have a fortress of drums to hide in.

  • roflol! good one!! xD

  • amazing is all i have to say, im a rush fan and ive been looking for a long time for someone to play this anywhere close to as well, i can also appreciate it as im a drummer tooo:P

  • dude u and me some time i can play it on the bass

  • nice drumming - used to play this song but never like that.

  • very nice work, i also am a drummer and i play this song quite a bit, you nailed almost everything man great job

  • thats not alot neil peart has more!!!!! i have one of his sets

  • OMG TEH DRUMZ ARE A MANY!!!

  • bravo. excellent work

  • You got 5 points! Nice kit also!

  • very cool kit, a mix of peart and portnoy. You rocked on the song.

  • incredible, you sound amazing. Dead on!

  • YYZ- Timing again. You need to work on your timing. Your so damn close but it seems either your not loose or you cant hear the song correctly. A+ for effort

  • Bullshit.

Until you do better, this guy was A++. A couple of off-beats, but he is playing to a recording. Not the easiest thing to do. Much different than live, where you "feel" the pace with your fellow musicians.

  • Lay off him guys he did i good job and i uniqe and people that become great drummers are people that have there own style.

  • Nice job man. Keep up the good work.

  • A week ago I posted a comment to KuzinRobs Video of drumming to TOM SAWYER. I challenged him to post a video of himself performing an original arrangement. I did not think he could do it. HE DID! I lost a wager I made.( See KuzinRob drums Tom Sawyer)Also view of his original. I will be suffering some public humiliation. Excuse me while I go feed my beagles a wet burrito!

  • wow amazrand your a turd. Every musician as their own inspirations, im sure Peart loved to play other bands stuff wen he started out, and being that all his stuff is mega hard KuzinRob is just playing a drummer he loves and showing how good he can be covering them, is that rli a problem? if it is then you need right "im a cock" on your forehead

  • My comments had the desired effect. I got KuzinRob pissed off enough that he posted a video of his own creation. That was my goal. I am hoping some record label see's it and offers him a contract. Now I have to post my own video as promised. SEE KR drums TOM SAWYER. Spose I can write on my forehead while Im at it.

  • Nice! All your videos are great, any chance you'll be doing la villa strangiato?

  • i don't play bass so i don't know if it's hard to do it. But i do play the drums , so i know it's years of practice to play something like this without struggling

and this song can't just be learned note by note like you thought. kuzinrob did a great job and he wants to know if it's good or not . I say it's awesome

  • There is a name for people who spend all there time TRYING to copy someone else. We call them a HACK!!.

Anybody who can pick apart a drum chart can do this stuff. I call it typewriter music. Where is the creativity? Stop trying to impress your friends and WRITE YOUR OWN MUSIC!

  • Excuse me. You can make your comment ONCE on ONE OF MY VIDEOS. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REPEATEDLY INSULT ME. I WRITE MY OWN MUSIC. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO MUSIC before you come off with such arrogance.

  • You posted five videos you got five comments. You talk about contributions to music, Thats my point. Contribute something, dont't just try to imitate someone else. 10 year olds learn Wipe Out to impress their friends, Youre doing the same thing with Rush.

WHY? If you enjoy playing Rush thats wonderful! But dont post it. Contribute something. Inspire me! I can play Rush Bass note for note! Anybody can if they buy the charts and practice. You are not excused!

  • dude man, calm down, hes only having a bit of fun, whats wrong with posting this? i practice by covering music! whats wrong with that? i could understand u saying this is rob was crap at covering this and he ruined it, but he hasnt its a bloody good cover.

  • dude, amazrand, lighten up! This does inspire me. I can play YYZ on guitar and so what? Lookin online for like a fuckin 9 year old that can drum better than i can ever dream, it inspires me to do better. it may not inspire you, because your an ignorant self centered son of a bitch, but it inspires me. and thats all that matters. Give this man some props cause he rocks and sure knows how to drum. You rock Rob!

  • awesome point! :)

  • no one can play exactly like neil pert, its impossible to play exactly like someone else, this guy is amazing, and sounded just like the song, great job, especially on the solo's, nailed em! but try not to be so jumpy with your left foot

  • Awesome mate...you're right on the money there deffo...keep it up dude...rockin \m/

  • Very good.If you made some original beats and tried out for a band you would be touring and making 'da benjamins'

  • Want to see more of this guy

  • Awesome! You're the only person besides Neil Peart that I've seen who can play the song pretty much exact. I do a

cover of this too. Check out my vid.

  • kick ass on onne of the toughest pieces out there

  • you fuckin kicks ass dude...a true drummer...love this song..i say u did a pretty good job playing it...ur not neil peart..but ur damn close..keep it up man...KEEP IT UP

  • You did "Red Lenses" so well. This is a little rough around the edges. I don't get it - YYZ is so much easier than "Red Lenses". And: Dot heads? Okay for small toms with little tone but not for 8" and up.

  • I really enjoy the sound of the dot heads. I had coated heads for the longest time, around 4 years or more (not one set, I did change them every year or so). I enjoyed those, but the lower toms were difficult to tune, and there were a bit more overtones than I cared for.

This is not a flawless performance, I said that already. I do not post my videos to be an exemplary demonstrator of Neil's drumming, I post them because I enjoy playing his drum parts.

  • good job dude lost yur kinda went to slow as in u lost yur self in some places

  • man, that was enjoyable to watch, great job all around..Everyone has there own styles, if you can play it, you can play it, good job again, very technically sound

  • Voidstuff....do i see you playing one of the greatest drum performences ever? no so shut the fuck up.

  • nothing special

  • Then let's see you do it please?

  • Your a douchebag, why don't you post a video of yourself playing this song with absolute perfection before you make stupid comments. Who do you think you are? Your obviously not a true musician

  • This comment was directed towards VOIDSTUFF NOT TOWARDS KuzinRob. Just to avoid any misunderstadings. KuzinRob rocks.

  • nice!

  • not bad not bad pretty good dude i like the sound of ur kit

  • good job

  • About looking tense...

I put a lot of energy into my playing. It's about the only exercise I get, so I try to make it very physical. Songs like these make me play very forcefully, but there are times where I let the dynamics do the talking. I'm versatile, hehe.

  • beautiful set-up, same with the back-kit, amazing sound as well, keep up the good work, hoping for more anytime heh.

  • Well done. Only a few things, be careful witht the bass drum tempo, and try to dont be so tense playing, leave the fulcrum works, aswell bouncing, overall on the toms and snare. Keep the good work and take care.

  • Congratulations!

  • that was pretty good, really sick kit.

  • man that was sick! niel would be proud

  • Thats a great vid u've got...i'm 15 nd tryin to learn it...its hard but with drummers like you around...it makes it easy to learn. thanks bud wb :)

  • Damn good job, mate!

  • I like the part where you were slipping out of the seat and had to adjust on the fly, been there done that

  • That was sick. Red lenses was even better. Now...O'Baterista? Time to step up to the plate haha. Great work, I love it.

  • Great job. Only part I noticed a bit off, say, during the first half of the song was the snair drum work. Some hits didn't receive the necessary full impact or were a bit off timing-wise, but, shit, who am I to talk? I play the fuckin' piano! Last thing: great symbol work, esp. the 'ride' symbol.

  • that was really good but you look tence in the video i would be too if i had to play that but you can tell if your tence in your hands on how the drums sound after you hit them

  • I realize that some of you guys leaving comments are trying to give this guys "constructive criticism" but this is a really solid performance, I play the drums and I know I can't play YYZ this well, give this dude the credit he deserves, great job! Peace out

  • Haha, thanks, man. I realize it isn't flawless, but I think I was fairly accurate. Can't wait to record some more!

  • well then you suck"im just kidding ijust had to say that"

  • impresive, not %100 dead on, but still really really impesive, cheers bro

  • Well done.
