I agree with some of these guys. Your timing is off in a few spots, and not only in this video. You miss coming in on time in the breakdown. Lots of your cymbal crashes are off time, around 3:20-3:24. You just don't have the feel. You know the song, just groove it.

having covered both of these songs at one point or another, i can tell you that strangiato actually isn't that hard. the solo section is weird, but the basic hihat polyrhythm isn't that hard at all; nor is the characteristic peart bell pattern on the ride. the song is a test of endurance though, and parts of the 7 section are weird. i would say YYZ is harder overall

You did "Red Lenses" so well. This is a little rough around the edges. I don't get it - YYZ is so much easier than "Red Lenses". And: Dot heads? Okay for small toms with little tone but not for 8" and up.
I really enjoy the sound of the dot heads. I had coated heads for the longest time, around 4 years or more (not one set, I did change them every year or so). I enjoyed those, but the lower toms were difficult to tune, and there were a bit more overtones than I cared for.
This is not a flawless performance, I said that already. I do not post my videos to be an exemplary demonstrator of Neil's drumming, I post them because I enjoy playing his drum parts.

I put a lot of energy into my playing. It's about the only exercise I get, so I try to make it very physical. Songs like these make me play very forcefully, but there are times where I let the dynamics do the talking. I'm versatile, hehe.
Well done. Only a few things, be careful witht the bass drum tempo, and try to dont be so tense playing, leave the fulcrum works, aswell bouncing, overall on the toms and snare. Keep the good work and take care.
Great job. Only part I noticed a bit off, say, during the first half of the song was the snair drum work. Some hits didn't receive the necessary full impact or were a bit off timing-wise, but, shit, who am I to talk? I play the fuckin' piano! Last thing: great symbol work, esp. the 'ride' symbol.

You posted five videos you got five comments. You talk about contributions to music, Thats my point. Contribute something, dont't just try to imitate someone else. 10 year olds learn Wipe Out to impress their friends, Youre doing the same thing with Rush.
WHY? If you enjoy playing Rush thats wonderful! But dont post it. Contribute something. Inspire me! I can play Rush Bass note for note! Anybody can if they buy the charts and practice. You are not excused!

Lookin online for like a fuckin 9 year old that can drum better than i can ever dream, it inspires me to do better. it may not inspire you, because your an ignorant self centered son of a bitch, but it inspires me. and thats all that matters. no one can play exactly like neil pert, its impossible to play exactly like someone else, this guy is amazing, and sounded just like the song, great job, especially on the solo's, nailed em! but try not to be so jumpy with your left foot

You did "Red Lenses" so well. This is a little rough around the edges. I don't get it - YYZ is so much easier than "Red Lenses". And: Dot heads? Okay for small toms with little tone but not for 8" and up.

I really enjoy the sound of the dot heads. I had coated heads for the longest time, around 4 years or more (not one set, I did change them every year or so). I enjoyed those, but the lower toms were difficult to tune, and there were a bit more overtones than I cared for.
This is not a flawless performance, I said that already. I do not post my videos to be an exemplary demonstrator of Neil's drumming, I post them because I enjoy playing his drum parts.

About looking tense...
I put a lot of energy into my playing. It's about the only exercise I get, so I try to make it very physical. Songs like these make me play very forcefully, but there are times where I let the dynamics do the talking. I'm versatile, hehe.

Well done. Only a few things, be careful witht the bass drum tempo, and try to dont be so tense playing, leave the fulcrum works, aswell bouncing, overall on the toms and snare. Keep the good work and take care.

Great job. Only part I noticed a bit off, say, during the first half of the song was the snair drum work. Some hits didn't receive the necessary full impact or were a bit off timing-wise, but, shit, who am I to talk? I play the fuckin' piano! Last thing: great symbol work, esp. the 'ride' symbol.
