yeah, I agree.. the percussion is just "head turning" like gotta stop and hear this!! It amazes me how two drummers can keep sync and rhythm together.. I've only seen this in one or two other bands that I recall.
@Tonguetied65 I know punk, and especially newer punk, isn't too popular with a lot of other Pink Floyd fans but there was a band from Washington, DC called Black Eyes that pulled multiple drummers off really well. Also Foot Village, The Boredoms, The Melvins, Gang Gang Dance, and Romo Roto.
to the girl from omegle. hey, didnt know why u disconnected, but thought u might get a chance to read dis so. hope u feeling a lot better now, if u dont, u ll get over it. im just saying like, at the end of the day, nothing s gonna change, u know. u still walk and still eat. u can still listen to ur favourite music. and yea, i know it takes time, but good luck, all the best girl.
Pink Floyd may create better Music, and have much more Skill on that kind of level, but Michael Jackson was a far greater performer, dancer, and also created great Music from a shit Genre.
Listen mate, it doesnt really matter because of a few good reasons. The most important one being that, MJ and Pink floyd belong to very different genres, catering to VERY different tastes. So therefore saying one is better than the other is just wrong. What might be good music to your ears might not be to someone else's.
And btw I prefer Pink Floyd over MJ.. but no one in the world can deny MJ's influence and talent as a musician. He'll remain one of the best, forever.
@chunkylover017 Mejor comentario que he visto tienes toda la razòn la mùsica de Pink Floyd a mi tambien me parece muy buena y la voz de David Gilmour de lo que mas me gusta escuchar

The Nile Song is metal, Interstellar Overdrive is rock is heavy Psychedelia, theres bits of harder stuff here and there, but rock can be mellow, often better when it is,
Great song, and video!! Did you know that it has been documented that on tour of one paticular outdoor concerts in the southwest at the time of this song the crowd looked up and their it was the notorious TR-3b-The Black Triangle hovering at 600ft. across.the fans thought it was part of the concert,or a UFO,but in reality it was a "LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO"by yours truely (alleged)USAF,I'm sure they had a big laugh flippin everone out?
I wish I could have gone to this show. The light show for one, is simply awe mazing, not to mention the beautiful music. Really spectacular. Floyd is the best band in the world.
I have been to 100+ conserts at the age of 32 and NOTHING has ever been like the floyd consert i seen in 1993 Oakland california. It was just like this but so powerful and beyond anything i have ever seen. I only wish they would reunite one last time. I would gladly pay 200+ per ticket
Was the "BEST" concert I've been to. I had PULSE on Laser Disc and waited forever for it to come out on Dvd (even had it VHS but it was lacking track or two compaired to LD and well of course, the sound quality wasn't as good on VHS either) . Hell, I put the dvd on just to bring me back to the concert..!!
Fly away home. "Above the clouds I SEE my shadow fly, out of the corner of my watering eye". There are no greater lyics than these that I know of, except perhaps, "water spirit feeling springing round my head, makes me feel glad that I'm not dead".
have u guys ever heard the original version to this.. its not as spectacular as it is here.. and the solo is soo much different.. i like this version so much better
I feel David Gilmour was able to transcend Pink Floyd through the 80's and 90's successfully while creating new music that Floyd fans would enjoy, respect, and people from those time periods who never heard Pink Floyd before now get to discover them when they haven't before. It's kind of like how Sammy Hagar got Van Halen out of the 80's blend, and brought a new sense of art to the band with EVH new ideas on making music.
This song Learning To Fly (along with the album AMLOR) truly shows what Pink Floyd is and was capable of progressing without Roger Waters, that is why the 3 of them continued on to make 2 more albums without Waters, and I think they did an amazing job.
Now prepster27, I think decosteshow is just expressing his opinion, and a opinion like that to me shows he has quite some knowledge of rock. I certainly am a fan of post-Water Pink Floyd. The Division Bell I feel is the best Floyd album yet, but I still love what Waters contributed to the band artistically, he was the person who brought Pink Floyd into the limelight and created some of the most memorable songs and albums to date.
I find it hummorus when people post comments like sitdown's. Obviously he knows nothing about music, but this song, as well as many of Pink Floyd reak of talent. Blues scales through and through here, and the fingertapping by their rhythm guitarist is awesome, absolutely awesome!

I hear this song, the ones you mentioned, Shine On You Crazy Diamond (obviously not the full thing), Dark Side of the Moon, Time...errr...that's what I can think of off the top of my head. AC/DC? I love 'em, yeah. But all I hear (in Massachusetts, although you never said where you're from) of them is Back in Black, MAYBE Dirty Deeds, and Shook Me All Night Long. And since when does airplay equate good music anyway? Remember the Backstreet Boys?
Airplay's the only thing that keeps bands popular and see, you don't hear the backstreet boys anymore. For AC/DC you forgot TNT, It's a long way to the top, jalbreak, thunderstruck, for those about to rock, highway to hell. I have never heard this song, shing on you crazy diamond ever on the radio. Like I said, I have only ever heard 2 of their songs
I don't what you're listening to, but I listen to WRIF, a rock station, one of the longest running the nation and they play everything that the fans want. Almost all the time it's requests and I have not yet heard a request for floyd

If you believe that Pink Floyd, one of the most popular and biggest bands of all time, and one of the best to boot, is going to pay people who thought their albums sucked back, then you obviously don't have enough brains to fill an eggcup.

Songs like this is the sole purpose for which music was created.
The guitar speaks to your soul and the gasping drums breathe life
into the very essence of imagination. There can only be one in this world,
and this is it for me. There can only be one and this is it, incredible talent hidden inside Pandora's box.

Do you get enjoyment out of commenting Pink Floyd Videos?
The comment space is meant for people who enjoy the video or dislike the video.
Not people who dislike the entire premise and are just here to bitch.
Fuck Off sit down and shut the hell up.
