  • I don't think this was actually 5 years ago lol

  • @cbergman107 Nobody said it was, in fact it's clearly from the 80s.

  • @oop007 1994.

  • the drummer kicks so much ass

  • psychedelic music got better thanks to pink floyd!!

  • I just get goosebumps listening to this song. It is amazing

  • Comment removed

  • minut 3.04 to 3.34 the best of the song

  • The percussion intro and outro to this could be a song in its self! xD

  • That drummer at the beginning is channeling his inner Keith Moon!

  • This is the best fucking song ever! Pink Floyd tripped bawls on some acid.

  • Listening right now through headphones, had to rewind 10 times the intro just because the percussions are epic.

  • cant touch this stuff

  • I wish I was David Gilmour!

  • The percussionist is quite annoying!

  • gold for the ear

  • now this is place and time where i want to spend my final moments :)

  • yeah, I agree.. the percussion is just "head turning" like gotta stop and hear this!! It amazes me how two drummers can keep sync and rhythm together.. I've only seen this in one or two other bands that I recall.

  • @Tonguetied65 I know punk, and especially newer punk, isn't too popular with a lot of other Pink Floyd fans but there was a band from Washington, DC called Black Eyes that pulled multiple drummers off really well. Also Foot Village, The Boredoms, The Melvins, Gang Gang Dance, and Romo Roto.

  • I always gets really disturbed by the women in the background doing Axl Roses snakedance.

  • can anyone name one current band that will be this mind-blowing 25 years from now?..

  • very talented musicians. very.

big respect to guys from pink floyd.

  • Tim Wenrick is the other guitarist, and Gary Wallis on percussion.

  • esos son los tecnicos, ingenieros, artistas y obreros...de la pura musica...ademas muy buena calidad de grabacion, te felicito thatoneyguy417...

  • who is the guy david keeps letting solo?

  • i love this song ... not sure why but it always gets my foot tapping

  • sigh havent been to one of these in soo long. i may be old but at least i got to go see all the good concerts :-P

  • Songs like this is the sole purpose for which music was created.

The guitar speaks to your soul and the gasping drums breathe life

into the very essence of imagination. There can only be one in this world,

and this is it for me. There can only be one and this is it, incredible talent hidden inside Pandora's box.

  • de la ptm muy buena...

  • simply fantastic....

  • nick is having a blast :D

  • this song it's so cool david glimour it's the best, long life to pink floyd

  • For all the Pink Floyd's fans! There's a new version of "IF" (atom heart mother) on myspace gariac. Enjoy it on myspace gariac popmusik!

  • my absolute favorite song by pink floyd. They are such a awesome group

  • great song

  • to the girl from omegle. hey, didnt know why u disconnected, but thought u might get a chance to read dis so. hope u feeling a lot better now, if u dont, u ll get over it. im just saying like, at the end of the day, nothing s gonna change, u know. u still walk and still eat. u can still listen to ur favourite music. and yea, i know it takes time, but good luck, all the best girl.

  • Just me, or is the bass player ripped out of his mind

  • I love the bass, I love this version of the song (better because I heard this before the original)!

You dont like the bass here?

  • want to take my pill and go to sleep and see pink floyd in my wet dreams.

how I envy anyone that ever had the chance to watch them perform live !

    fucking awesome spectacle.

  • WOOW!!! in a state of Bliss!!!...just listening!!

  • God, I luv the solo, the guy is awesome.

  • Your an idiot just to say such things, Pink Floyd will always be more talanted then Mj, why a long way

  • It depends though Joel.

Pink Floyd may create better Music, and have much more Skill on that kind of level, but Michael Jackson was a far greater performer, dancer, and also created great Music from a shit Genre.

He made Pop actually cool to listen to.

  • Listen mate, it doesnt really matter because of a few good reasons. The most important one being that, MJ and Pink floyd belong to very different genres, catering to VERY different tastes. So therefore saying one is better than the other is just wrong. What might be good music to your ears might not be to someone else's.

And btw I prefer Pink Floyd over MJ.. but no one in the world can deny MJ's influence and talent as a musician. He'll remain one of the best, forever.

  • @chunkylover017 Mejor comentario que he visto tienes toda la razòn la mùsica de Pink Floyd a mi tambien me parece muy buena y la voz de David Gilmour de lo que mas me gusta escuchar

  • I'm going.

  • KURWA, ale max :D

  • Reenwick is the best!!

  • bleh amazing ^^ pink floyd and only pink floyd^^

  • You know I saw this concert live from the 5th row, center stange in Kansas City. To this day I remember every moment of the magic that is Pink Floyd. This was an amazing night.

  • Sad that Rodger left. :'(

although, those fights that he and Gilmour had over how music should be written were LEGENDARY

  • LOOK AT THAT DRUM KITT

  • it's nothing compared with neil peart's

  • wait, lol, that was before I saw the one with the guy standing up. XD

  • The Nile Song is metal, Interstellar Overdrive is rock is heavy Psychedelia, theres bits of harder stuff here and there, but rock can be mellow, often better when it is,

  • wow i see yer point, I'd never herd that tune before it doesn't even sound like them!

    thanks

  • not wih songs like "in the flesh" and "one of these days"

  • who is playing the bass? Guy Pratt, married Gala Wright, the daughter of late Pink Floyd keyboardist, Richard Wright.

  • who is playing the bass?

  • id rather see mr. Roger Waters on bass

  • exactly but he left in 1985

  • Sublime

  • I love this song!!! It's very cool!!!!! Pink Floyd rock!!!! The video is great too, I also love the original video!!!!

  • GRAZIE RICK

  • the best intro, in all f%$&ng concerts

  • welcome to the dream of life.

  • *Speechless*

    This is absolutely amazing.

  • i love pulse

  • Great song, and video!! Did you know that it has been documented that on tour of one paticular outdoor concerts in the southwest at the time of this song the crowd looked up and their it was the notorious TR-3b-The Black Triangle hovering at 600ft. across.the fans thought it was part of the concert,or a UFO,but in reality it was a "LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO"by yours truely (alleged)USAF,I'm sure they had a big laugh flippin everone out?

  • haha look at the percussionist! dancing around!

  • i listen to the start over and over just for that percussion. amazing

  • .. theyre amazing !!

    loce them !!!!

  • btw who's the guitarist? He plays a really sick riff at the 1:47 mark

  • Tim Renwick I believe.

I am not a die hard PF-fan, but I like their music very much.

  • I love this song to bits

  • This is such a catchy tune. Luv it!

  • this is one of the finest floyd songs!!!!!!

  • LEARNING TO FLY PAPA

  • Gary Wallis holding it down on percussion!

  • I wish I could have gone to this show. The light show for one, is simply awe mazing, not to mention the beautiful music. Really spectacular. Floyd is the best band in the world.

  • the percusion is mind blowing in this song

  • @caolan4

Rototoms and Trigger pads ftw! (Y) :D

  • how can i escape this irisistable grasp

  • I have been to 100+ conserts at the age of 32 and NOTHING has ever been like the floyd consert i seen in 1993 Oakland california. It was just like this but so powerful and beyond anything i have ever seen. I only wish they would reunite one last time. I would gladly pay 200+ per ticket

  • tongue tied, twisted, just an...

    earthbound misfit... I.

  • unbelieveable how catchy this song is....awesome

  • buen video

  • Awesome song, must have heard it a 100 times and it's still good. Go figure that one out = Grate band.

  • David can make great songs without selfish Roger Waters :p Sorry, man

  • Was the "BEST" concert I've been to. I had PULSE on Laser Disc and waited forever for it to come out on Dvd (even had it VHS but it was lacking track or two compaired to LD and well of course, the sound quality wasn't as good on VHS either) . Hell, I put the dvd on just to bring me back to the concert..!!

    -=peace=-

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • My fav song from my fav band.

Pink Floyd = Greatest band of all time!!!!!

  • wuts with all these ppl jumping like this was sum kind of punk song? pink floyd is mystical and artistic

  • Great band, great song, great performance

  • great,llegendary and perfect performace

  • Fly away home. "Above the clouds I SEE my shadow fly, out of the corner of my watering eye". There are no greater lyics than these that I know of, except perhaps, "water spirit feeling springing round my head, makes me feel glad that I'm not dead".

  • I love this song.

  • Stunning.

  • fuck...a really great fucking song

  • fuck...a really great fucking song

  • a really great song. I really enjoy the last part with the bass juts before the end

  • nothing could be better. shit. fucking mind blowing.

  • this is my fav song in the world

  • have u guys ever heard the original version to this.. its not as spectacular as it is here.. and the solo is soo much different.. i like this version so much better

  • your so right, this one is better.

  • Out of the corner of my watering eye.

  • I love momentary lapse and Division bell.

  • one of the best solos i have ever heard..:)

  • If Van Halen just stopped after DLR, would Van Halen kept on continuing its momentum for the next 2 decades, not really in my opinion.

  • I feel David Gilmour was able to transcend Pink Floyd through the 80's and 90's successfully while creating new music that Floyd fans would enjoy, respect, and people from those time periods who never heard Pink Floyd before now get to discover them when they haven't before. It's kind of like how Sammy Hagar got Van Halen out of the 80's blend, and brought a new sense of art to the band with EVH new ideas on making music.

  • This song Learning To Fly (along with the album AMLOR) truly shows what Pink Floyd is and was capable of progressing without Roger Waters, that is why the 3 of them continued on to make 2 more albums without Waters, and I think they did an amazing job.

  • Now prepster27, I think decosteshow is just expressing his opinion, and a opinion like that to me shows he has quite some knowledge of rock. I certainly am a fan of post-Water Pink Floyd. The Division Bell I feel is the best Floyd album yet, but I still love what Waters contributed to the band artistically, he was the person who brought Pink Floyd into the limelight and created some of the most memorable songs and albums to date.

  • i totally agree with you

  • i love pink floyd this is one of their best songs, man theyre better without roger waters and i love their light shows

  • THE BEST pINK fLOYD SONG

    evr

  • Pink Floyd ROCKKK!!!

  • this is by far my favorite song by the floyd.

I'm 15; and PF elitists can say what they want about this album; or the song; but I think it's fucking amazing.

  • i THINK THEY'RE BETTER W/OUT rOCGER wATERS

  • they fking rule

  • awesome!!!!

  • damn....just watch the video and enjoy....or dont...just shut up

  • increible el show de luces de este tema.... gracais por subirlo! tengo el DVD original pero es lindo tenerlo a mano siempre en itnernet :-)

    Saludos

    Boromir

  • I find it hummorus when people post comments like sitdown's. Obviously he knows nothing about music, but this song, as well as many of Pink Floyd reak of talent. Blues scales through and through here, and the fingertapping by their rhythm guitarist is awesome, absolutely awesome!

  • Wow, finger tapping, that's ORIGINAL! Oh, wait, no, Eddie Van Halen stated that... i guess pink floyd isn't that original

  • Eddie Van Halen didn't start that, moron. Two-handed tapping started with Genesis.

  • Yeah, he did

  • You need to do some research before you say something stupid. Check it out on Wikipedia, at least.

  • sitdown248 you are a tool, you dont know anything about music and you opinion is usless. No one get worked up over what this guys says hes just trying to start shit. Learn how to read music and you will see just how much tallent they have, not just the lead guitarest but everysingle member of the band.

  • Yeah, I do know how, and they suck. I really don't care what you think of my opinion.

  • I don't care what you think, but i think whatever garbage you listen to is garbage. think to yourself: If pink floyd sucks, then why are they famous? It certainly isn't because they suck. It's because they are innovative. Unlike rappers who just talk really fast with a bass line.

  • hippies listened to them, that's why they were famous. THey're barely even played on the radio anymore, unlike great bands like AC/DC, Van Halen, and Guns and Roses

  • Wrong decade, wiseass.

  • In reference to what?

  • Whoa, what? They're not played on the radio anymore? Where you from?

  • Listen, you will only hear 2 songs if you hear them at all, money and another brick in the wall, otherwise they receive no playtime. Listen for a while and the good bands do get playtime like AC/DC, G& R and Van Halen

  • I hear this song, the ones you mentioned, Shine On You Crazy Diamond (obviously not the full thing), Dark Side of the Moon, Time...errr...that's what I can think of off the top of my head. AC/DC? I love 'em, yeah. But all I hear (in Massachusetts, although you never said where you're from) of them is Back in Black, MAYBE Dirty Deeds, and Shook Me All Night Long. And since when does airplay equate good music anyway? Remember the Backstreet Boys?

  • Airplay's the only thing that keeps bands popular and see, you don't hear the backstreet boys anymore. For AC/DC you forgot TNT, It's a long way to the top, jalbreak, thunderstruck, for those about to rock, highway to hell. I have never heard this song, shing on you crazy diamond ever on the radio. Like I said, I have only ever heard 2 of their songs

  • Well then we listen to different radio stations. Oooh.

  • I don't what you're listening to, but I listen to WRIF, a rock station, one of the longest running the nation and they play everything that the fans want. Almost all the time it's requests and I have not yet heard a request for floyd

  • Okay, so why the fuck do you care to find the song and spend so much time commenting?

  • I don't want people to be tricked into buying this crap

  • that lead guitarist is awesome. Has a Holdsworth style to him

  • just and earthbound misfit, I !! lo maximo!!

  • Pink Floyd has such an unmistakeable sound---I remember when I first heard this song on the radio, I didn't have to wait to hear the DJ mention who the song was by. There will never be another Pink Floyd. This is some highly sophisticated music. Nice live performance too.

  • yup, nobody can play that crappy

  • Prick

    Do u even appreciate muzik?

  • oh i do, but pink floyd is not music, it's just random sounds, they have no musical talent

  • go listen to your "bitch slapping" shit you call "50 cent" or whatever the hell that racket is called, you little chav.

  • I don't like 50 cent

  • Music = random sounds. Get the picture?

  • No, you need to change that Music = rhythm, pink floyd= random sounds

  • I love Pink Floyd, but the PULSE concert is a little wankery for me.

  • i listend to this music when i was 8 and nou i'm 16, am i born in the wrong time?

  • one word: fantastic...

  • Perfect...i love this music!

  • one word...sucks

  • Do you get enjoyment out of commenting Pink Floyd Videos?

The comment space is meant for people who enjoy the video or dislike the video.

Not people who dislike the entire premise and are just here to bitch.

Fuck Off sit down and shut the hell up.

  • no. i am a person telling the truth and cannot be silenced unless i have commented too much in one day...

  • how can you know you tell the truth? stupid little prick...

  • If you believe that Pink Floyd, one of the most popular and biggest bands of all time, and one of the best to boot, is going to pay people who thought their albums sucked back, then you obviously don't have enough brains to fill an eggcup.

  • There's no sensation to compare with this

    Suspended animation

    A state of bliss \o/

  • u rule my sox
