Christina R. would totally rock the Faye role. She has that same sexy but tough, young woman quality that Faye exudes. Plus, CR can pull off Faye's style perfectly. Faye isn't very tall at all & CR is just the right height to play her despite what was said in earlier comments that she was too short. And CR isn't too fat either like somebody else said. Have you seen what she looks like in a bikini on that terrible Pan Am TV show? She's amazing!!! Plus, she's got mad acting skills, CR FTW!

You could make all characters be average height, and "movie magic" her into looking tall, but it would be bad for all the other characters. You can't be Spike being short just because it is the combination of height and weight that makes spike such a "one of a kind" in respect to proportions. I am not saying she wouldn't make a great cosplay model for the character, but I don't think she could be a right fit for Faye on a movie.

If they have to pick an American actress, then I would be fine with Christina Ricci and still watch the movie, but it really bothers me that Hollywood insists on casting white actors in canonically ethnic roles. Faye Valentine is Singaporean. Singaporeans are Asian. My personal opinion is we would need a more mature Asian actress to star opposite Keanu Reeves, who is way too old to convincingly portray a 27-year-old even if we put more make up on him and try to suspend our disbelief....

If that ratio isnt met when a girl wears fayes clothes there is an optical illusion that makes the said girl look like a fatass. If you dont believe me look up FV cosplay videos. cant count how many cute and skinny girls even with great racks that looked fat because of the clothing because their measurements made them unpassable. but cosplay is for fun...
