@serialxkisser ....the opinion about jpop being better than apop, I think that was only the opinion of one user :/, I won't say that Jpop is dying, i mean despite the domination by Arashi rashi and AKB, it's actually quite diverse. I do have to say that the idol trend is becoming more and more prominent because of the invasion from kpop groups, but you still get alot of bands, solo, due singers etc. I won't call them an idol group, but if you want some good music Kalafina is good.
there's also e-girls, like the groups dream, happiness, and flower, as well as exile, w-inds, perfume etc, which although are pop-groups might be more to your taste. there's also ALOT of solo artists like yuya matushita and daichi miura that are great singers too. seriously, just look around, try to look at the oricon list, besides the top ten. Not sure if you're definition of Jpop includes all J-music, but J-rok, J-urban, J-R&B are also great to listen to if you dislike Jpop.

God...you people annoy the hell out of me. Im Japanese and I just started listening to Jpop. I first got into Kpop and I found their music amazing. Then later on I got introduced to jrock and I found them amazing also. So now that im trying to get into Jpop I see all this hate between two countries. Why must you guys hate each other. @serialxkisser ....the opinion about jpop being better than apop, I think that was only the opinion of one user :/, I won't say that Jpop is dying, i mean despite the domination by Arashi rashi and AKB, it's actually quite diverse. I do have to say that the idol trend is becoming more and more prominent because of the invasion from kpop groups, but you still get alot of bands, solo, due singers etc. I won't call them an idol group, but if you want some good music Kalafina is good.

there's also e-girls, like the groups dream, happiness, and flower, as well as exile, w-inds, perfume etc, which although are pop-groups might be more to your taste. there's also ALOT of solo artists like yuya matushita and daichi miura that are great singers too. seriously, just look around, try to look at the oricon list, besides the top ten. Not sure if you're definition of Jpop includes all J-music, but J-rok, J-urban, J-R&B are also great to listen to if you dislike Jpop.

@serialxkisser & I also want to say that it's understandable that people like arashi, AKB etc.because of their encouraging lyrics, upbeat songs, and w/ their nice personalities &funny shows. I mean, when I first listened to them, I thought they sounded mediocre and WAY~ too happy and gay, but then I got into a rough spot in my life where I was depressed, someone recommended them to me,and they helped me though. They're not the singers, they're entertainers, & tbh, i think they've done their job

@sabrinashaw93 the sad thing about their fandom is that when they will become 30 they will no longer be a band, and the fans will probably no longer support the k-pop bands because they won't care. what they care about is the abs , the hips and then from the girls they appreciate the cute and plastically young face LMAO. it's been more than 10 years since i've been an arashi fan , i did not stop being a fan even if they are not babies and i dun care about their abs.
