Also called "Story of the Stone (Shitouji 石頭記)", this novel written by Cao Xueqin 曹雪芹 (1715--1763) is said to be the greatest masterpiece of Chinese fiction. A wide branched scholarship does not consent about the main theme of this novel, should it be a novel of sentiment, of Daoist-Buddhist enlightenment, of social observation, of the decay of an aristocratic familiy, or even a veiled attack on Manchu rule. 2012217
Oh! ... the lyrics are from the actual book, A Dream of the Red Chamber? the words she said to the falling peach blossom right? HAHA!! sorry, i only studied this story briefly and i remember reading these words so i was just wondering.
then why do you use Chinese character, dont use our Character anymore, Vietnam wrote all its history book in Chinese Character, all your traditional clothes, instrument, music.... copy ours, and now you said China sucks. phew......
@00TheDiamond This is from a newly-remade drama based on the Chinese most famous Classic-Honglong meng, or A Dream in Red Mansions. The scenes in it look beautiful, but the drama is criticized heavily in China from academics to folks, because people think it is shot in a much rough way. Actually, there are too many interpretations to this classic in China and everyone has their owns.
Flowers fade and fall everywhere, who would sympathize with their withered rosyness? The petals are blown over a pavilion, and the catkins are stuck on the curtain. All the year round, the frosty cold comes around aggressively. The enchanting beauty cannot last long and disappears once scattered away.
Flowers bloom in extravagance but fade in silence, and the girl burying flowers is depressed. Lonely and in silence she weeps, and the branches are stained with her blood. Hopefully with wings to flutter, she would follow the flying petals to the end of the heaven.
At the end of the heaven, is there any resting place for the fragrance? What is still left after the beauty has died? the clean soil will cover the romance that has gone. The chaste body remains clean in the earth, never should it fall into the dirt.
At present I collect your dead body and bury it, but it is hard to predict when I lose my life. Now people laugh at me burying flowers, But who would bury me in a later year in return?
Spring is now in its remnant and the flowers are about to fall, it will be the time that the girl passes away. Once the spring comes to the end and she has lost her beauty, who will still care for the falling flowers and the dying girl?
