this is the best jars of clay album. it's so minimalistic and yet effective.

I feel like most jars fans kind of pretend this album didn't happen. it really is rootsy, bluegrassy, and dangerously country. that's why it's one of my favorites!!!!

it is interesting as i started questioning everything that really matters e.g., who is God, what does he want, how much does it cost to follow him, etc. - I was also listening to jars music and it seemed to paralel. The basic elements of following Christ are so simple, yet there are so many layers and it can go so deep. This music has meant a great deal to me.
