  • @acquireditems I try.LOL

  • All I can say is you are a master at what you do. A little intimidating but, you inspire me to practice, practice, practice. Some day I hope to be half as good as you are. Awesome work Mr. Hubbs.

  • @twinguitarKid Pass it on to the next guy now.

  • How would you make a fist looking rivett like someone punched the metal and it indented?thanks!

  • @twinguitarKid I would photo graph my fist imprinted into some thing like clay, dirt, sand etc... And use that as a reference.

  • does house of color candy apple require a silver or gold coat under than candy

    please respond and thank you

  • @Chevrolet490 Yes it does.

  • Greta Vid,Thanks a lot Ed.

Got a question. With the fineline still there, could you go around each panel square with the a very thin and subtle white highligh,so when unmasked, each panel's edges look a bit raised?Just a thought.

Again, great vid,and thanks a lot for your amazing help.

  • @Webgkil Thanks.

  • Really cool ~ thanks for the inspiration and instruction! Now I want to use this for some of the work on my sled. Love it, Ed ~ you rock!

  • @SilvertipCustoms Thanks for watching and I am glad that I could help.

  • @mjm2u Air Brush Classes in about three more hours. It will be up and running.I will show a student in the three day class air brushing.

  • Tremendous work as ever Ed, it's great that you find the time to film and post these tutorials and I always love the bloopers

  • @spidiq8 Thanks.

  • hi, mr hubbs, thanks, for teach these tecnics, please, post works chit motorcicles, i love motorcicles, thanks.

  • @alimapi

    OK

  • Looks good Ed! For me though, the rust is too gold. Maybe it's the camera. I prefer trans red oxide from Auto Air (4712) for a great rust color.

  • @sgtm1775

Thanks man for the tip. I appreciate you sharing the tip with every one. It gives other artist another way to achieve the same thing.

    Thanks .

  • @edhubbs My pleasure, Ed. I can't take credit for it though. Rick Primeau is the one that turned me on to that color.

  • @sgtm1775

Ya,but you also shared the tip with every one else. Thanks.

  • thanks ed you did a good job on it and on the other one

  • @PARKER2892 Thanks

  • :) Great video

  • @zeldoSU Thanks

  • good vid ed, maybe a thinner line between the panels and also where you had the gash crossing a couple of panels the edge needed buckling too

not bad effort, you should do it more often,............... LOL

on the far away shot the rivets and dents look awsomly real

    xx

  • @messylaura I agree.

  • Are the blacks and whites you're using semi opaque or transparent?

  • @fernyorgo Yes

  • great job i like your bullet holes their different to everything ive seen.

im going to stop being a tight arse and finally buy your dvds

  • @nerofirestorm HA HA I have all different kinds of videos for sale. Even a six pack of them for one shipping cost.

  • are you endorsing coast airbrush now and not kustom shop?

  • @dirtyharry1213 Yes I am using all Coast Air Brush products. I am no longer using Kustom Shop products. Kustom Shop sells great products, but I have chosen not to support them any more.

  • i dont blame you ,coast air brush is cheaper lol

  • nice work as all ways... few cool new tips...

thanks for putting your time into us .. i know your vids have helped my airbrushing...

  • @armybootsbob Glad to help.

  • Looks great, but I think it would look even better with thinner tape between the "panels'.

  • @CoolasIce2 Yes it does. And it even looks better when you tape out every indivusal panel and shadow them also.

  • Hey Ed Thank you so so much for your tutorials, I have learned a loooot and thanks again because you are one of the few who answer your fan comments =D

Thanks man and hey you're the best

  • @JuanchoStreet Thank you very much.

  • Very cool vid. I like it at 3:05. It looks like you are wearing a crown. Ladies and Gentlemen,The King of airbrush, Ed Hubbs! (Or it could be your head exploding) How would you do a metal over lapping metal w/ rivets? Not feeling the black lines, but the rivets are great looking.

  • @oneslowride This is the easiest way I know how to show some one starting out. But the answer to your question is spray silver down and then tape each indivusal panel off and then pull one up at a time and start doing your shadowing. If you really want to get technical google search a picture of riveted panels and copy that. Or even use smaller tape than I used in the video looks good also.

  • what was this supposed to be? a front of an airplane? i dont know, please do tell. it looks amazing tho

  • @snakeboy100 I take it you didn't watch the first one? LOL It is a front nose piece to a electric car for Willamette high School.

  • looks awsome! but lets say instead of sheet metal, you wanted it to be red or whatever color. how would you make the rivets look like they are painted over and still keep the entire rivet effect minus the rust?

  • @angrydragon68 Just like I did in the video using black and white and then the rivet.

  • great vid as always edd..

  • much better music, Ed!

    cheers...

  • @manoman0 Thanks man.

  • it's very very cool!

  • @langesansaile77 Thanks.

  • You switched to HOK ? Sounds good to me :) Of the readymix stuff I've tried, I like theirs the best.

  • The enD ! :)

  • @TheEnDBG Ya HOK is a awesome product. I never really switched, because I have been using it for over 30 years. I just quit using Kustom Shop.

  • what did you use for your black free form stencil, is that steel wool, construction paper, foam?

  • @rito147 It is a piece of scotch brite. You can even use a dryer sheet also.

  • its came out amazing as usual :D

  • Very nice. you make it look so Ezy, Great video Ed

  • @MyAussieDay

    Thanks

  • Great job!! 5* the things you make looks so grea. i dont do air brush my self, bot i have a smal airbruch on my car. keep up the good work.
