I first listened to Oumou's music in the early 90s through an Hausa friend in Nigeria and since then no going back. I dont understand her language but listening to her brings joy to me. You have to have listening ears to music to love and appreciate her voice and music from Mali. She is a great contributor to the world of music. God bless her. Thanks for posting, Maliwood223. Too bad they didn't experience the second star "Bhusi Mhlongo" from SA. It was an earth quake event. Bhusi's voice made the hall tremble. Most beautiful concert night of my life. Jah Love Afrika!
