"and i'm proud to be an american..." people would say that they prefer the result of the technically inferior expansion chip capacities of the NES. I'm american, I live with the NES in my home, but I still can't see how the american version is better. THE ORIGINAL AND TRUE RENDITION IS THIS ONE. THE AMERICAN ONE HAD TO BE CUT IN HALF DUE O FEWER SOUND TRACKS.
I will admit that this version of "Riddle" does, in my opinion, sound better than the American version. Overall, I still prefer the American soundtrack to the Japanese.
ha! riddle in a really hard stage and is the same on order of ecclesia: a remix of this sound and a fucking hard cavern but entertaining level i needed to usae volaticus in the entire stage xD
Wow!I love the song!:D But it was HARD to fight The Evil Clone! XD Anyway, still I can get past!Lucky, because this level is behind the final level,Fighting with Dracula! :D
This is the first one I've heard so far that isn't overly cluttered with regards to the American version. Funny how the NES's limitations made this music clearer.
I called you out on your blatant hyprocracy, in which you called another poster a 'retard' for voicing their opinion, and even admitted it on this very page. This was before I ever even confronted your ignorant, hyprocritical, stupidity.
Now go tuck your tail between your legs and walk away with your head in shame kid, you're an embarassment to humanity.

this is one track I prefer the famicom version of simply because its crazier sounding than its NES counterpart.

You can thank the Famicom's FM synthesizer for that.

Seems a little fast.
And I like 0:34 - 0:41 too.
The piercing "cry" is cool, too.
This is the first one I've heard so far that isn't overly cluttered with regards to the American version. Funny how the NES's limitations made this music clearer.

That's because the American version is simply better.
Good to see people coming to grips with that reality.

@NeoSonicStrike You really don't have a taste with music! So try listening to the Rebirth version, that is like the best version of this song.

0:34 to 0:41 was my favorite part

I love this creepy music. This is what Castlevania is all about!

Another difference is that the first section is repeated in the Japanese version, while it goes straight into the turnaround in the American version.

I know, totally. I realized that when I got to this stage in CV3 last night!

redfalconxx 3 years ago
I forgot. It's somewhere in Dracula's Castle, though, but I do know that it plays in the Large Cavern, the secret area.

The Japanese version had a special sound chip...The American version (NES) did not...

"thats because this is the jap verison superior sound track "
Well, "superior" is subjective. It had more sound channels but I tend to think that some of the tracks are a bit cluttered on the Famicom version.
And the reason I thought this was the NES version is because the screen up above has the NES start-screen instead of the Japanese one...

And it says "Licensed by Nintendo of America" lol.

You're implying it's a fact. If you're trying to express an opinion, you'd say:
"I like the American version better."

Actually I really don't see how I was being a hypocrite. You stated your opinion as fact and I called you a retard. Your logic just fails, kid.
Ignorance is bliss, I suppose.
