This is one of the songs which extends all borders from Central Europe to Central Asia.I have listened to Albanian, Greek, Crimean Tatar, Turkish, Armenian and Uzbek versions of this song. For Crimean Tatar version you can try the Susanna Memet(ova) link at : qBzLePJLDy8 or Jamala link at : FmgMBZ3Z1x8
Nationalists of both sides go back inside your caves! peoples of the earth are one, they are only separated by government interests. Especially peoples with so mixed and similar tradition, this wonderful east-mediterranean breeze that touches and shapes for countless centuries now our culture (oh my god thanks for the music, food and hearts of the people around here)...we live in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of this planet, peace and solidarity will only make it better

listen to the PARIOS version...he is the MASTER...
Candan Ercetin sings it too fast, also the violin sound becomes drowned out by the brass/bouzouki...its almost like a fast sirto, with no violin...its off tune..listen to Parios to compare
sorry, but i knew this as an izmir song.Anyway,i ike a lot and have ntalgas and eleni vitali versions.Good job,and you should listen to this song by Candan Erçetin too!
I just assumed it was an Istanbul song but it makes sense as an Izmir song because there is a strong Aegean feel to the music. Which is probably the tune is very popular on several Greek islands for the local syrto dance
i agree,i can feel Aegean rhythm in this song although it is an istanbul one.I also know Kadifis is played in some Aegean islands although it is an izmir song unlike many people claim it is an İstanbul one again. That song should betaken by the immigrants from Izmir to islands.
