  • I once picked up a tin box set of the original voltron cartoon and vaguely remember reading the back so I thought at first it was just a group of teenagers that discovered these robots lions on a planet they got stranded on. Then I thought that kids weren't even together they had to run around the planet to gather themselves into Voltron and then go around saving the universe. When I saw this, boy my imagination can run wild.

  • where is the shota?

  • 19:12 Huh. Suddenly Arus has humanoid robot soldiers!

19:25 And look, they're so realistic they bleed!

  • I THINK THIS IS THE HARDEST ROBEAST VOLTRON EVER FACED.

  • Poor Coran! Out of all the schemes Haggar and Lotor could have come up with, this has to be the cruelest and most cold hearted of them all.

  • is this the same voice as optimus prime? sounds like it

  • @monsterdave3334 Yes, its Peter Cullen.

  • @monsterdave3334 Yes, Peter Cullen, voice of Optimus Prime, is also the narrator of Voltron and the voice of Coran and a a few other characters.

  • you know what's funny is that despite Sven being out of action for almost the entire series, they retained his portrait and never changed the intro.

  • i suppose the power rangers were a copy of this

its obvious 90 was the best decade for entertainment

  • @vishalthonichal The power rangers arent even in the same league with the cartoons of the 80's.

  • @vishalthonichal Or more of a "spoof" off of it.

  • anyone know the episode where voltron does flying fist punch

  • @brollicon well i found it at 18:00

  • I don't know if it cool to say this but I got a multi regional DVD player and so I got all my Voltron goodness from CD Universe which is an online American music/DVD company. When Volton aired in England it was on cable back in early 80's when cable was only just being rolled out and introduced and so the market was small which is sad because Voltron would have been huge if it was on a mainstream channel

  • Why is that little nerd smiling if he is so worried about Coran?

  • Believe it or not, during the first time I ever saw Voltron, this was the first ever To Be Continued I saw

  • It just too funny the way they edit out all the blood and guts and change the story to make it kid friendly. I've got Voltron and Go-Lion (the unedited version) all on DVD :)

  • @CrazyTobster

So it was actually more graphic than what we saw?!

  • @CrazyTobster

That's why I'm watching this version and not Go-Lion.

  • @CrazyTobster where'd you get your unedited Voltron DVDs? Is it possible to find the unedited version in the US? I too think it's funny how they "tone down" these Anime cartoons. Totally cheapens it and to me, weakens the story.

  • @TronandFlynn82 voltron.com has the golion dvd's! they are the original unedited japanese with subtitles.

  • @TronandFlynn82

On Voltron.com you can buy the complete unedited GoLion! series for about 60 dollars
