  • music to my ears

  • awww i wanted to hear it scream through all five gears. poop!! do another video like that

  • I think your going to need wider tires lol...sounds great man

  • So sick dude. Love that lope!

  • it aint an american v8 without the lope of a big cam, sounds amazing

  • it keeps good rhythm

  • yeah, much better after sound. Sounds mean!

  • nice very nice

  • Sweet sound!

  • what kind of power difference is there?

  • how much hp gain

  • That sounds rowdy!

  • how does it sound outside of the garage?

  • whats your idle set at?

  • this type of cams require a new head to be installed, and how much is the power gain?

  • like the cams but i dont like the crackle of the exhaust that would ruin the car for me haha

  • @blankpanic well not having this sound would ruin the car for me!!!!!!

  • @blankpanic the "crackle" has less to do with the cams and more to do with the exhaust. if you don't like a crackle i suggest maybe short tube headers, catted h pipe and some quiet mufflers. although if it were me I'd have the cnc head port upgrade along with long tubes, offroad x and flowmasters...that's just me those i don't give a flying **** about a crackle lol. I think it sounds mean as hell I read somewhere where these cams make the cars sound not modular...they were right...

  • dam ford did their hw with that sound

  • sounds awesome!!!!1

  • did you have an issue with the cam phasers and hows your gas mileage looking

  • those Hot Rod cams sound GREAT, I better your car goes like a "bat out of hell"

  • has this been dynoed? Love to see the numbers!!

  • SICK!!!

  • bad ass man love it bout time people start installing internals instead of always going with a blower

  • sounds like river dance at the end

  • like gods clapping!!

  • Nice song

  • Popcorn?

  • please get a start up, rev, and fly bye clip of your car... thanks

  • @:50 is my favorite techno song!

  • is this the same setup as your other video. plus the cams in this one?

  • Yes. The only difference is the cams.

  • sounds beautiful

  • thats crazy it sounds sick!! nice car

  • THAT SOUNDS AMAZING!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Rev it damnit...

  • @MrDaBassMan

Agreed. Sounds like a fucking beast.

  • sounds badass

  • Dude that is so awesome. Great clip of how it changes the tone. Unreal.....must be crazy loud at WOT.

  • How much does the car shake at idle? My NSR Stage 2 cams barely shake the car but then the lope isn't anything like this.

  • please get a fly by clip of this car with the hot rod cam.... thanks...

  • turn the idle up just a little bit

  • No.

  • @jamesm1977 i actually laughed at that response! haha

and the car sounds great man! My 2010 GT dreams of sounding like that :) in time she will!

  • @jamesm1977 haha! whats it idle set at 750 or 900?

  • @jamesm1977 turn the idle a lot lower... ;) watch?v=zXcUXUpD9D0

  • Comment removed

  • @jamesm1977 lol good answer to skating4ad......it sounds great im prob goin to install some as well hopefully they let me put custom specs in and have a custom built cam id make the overlap longer lol but i luv mustangs that sound like they are about to "shut off" but we all kno they are not lol

  • @AcuraUnderground ....well said ;)

  • @lethaldosage6040 lol thanks!!!!!

  • @skating4ad

It's supposed to idle that. Look up a term called "cam shaft lope".

  • @shukiikuhs

yessss, but it would stop the repetitive lope

  • What is she idling at with the LT?

  • She had the LT's in both before and after clips. The idle without the cams was stock what every it that is.

  • i keep my shelby away from the salt...im in PA it eats cars -.-

  • Yes it does!

  • whats your rpm's tuned at 800?

  • 750

  • id like somthing similar but not as lopey.Any recomendations ??

  • Awesome! What exhaust are you running here? Long tubes with what a x or Ycatted No cats? What mufflers?

    Excellent job!

  • Thanks! My setup is made by Dynatech, it is called Supermaxx. Long tubes with a catted x-pipe and SLP loudmouths.

  • sounds like a duely

  • did the before video have the LT headers ?

  • Yes. They were on before.

  • I would personal appreciate if you would be nice enough to post a video of a start up, idle, and fly bye with the hot rod cam... I just want to hear it before I go purchasing any other components...

  • She's in hibernation for the winter I will try when spring gets here.

  • Hibernation for winter! dude! cars work best in cold wether, (unless your "cold" is like negative degrees.)

    great car though

  • They like cool weather not cold...the tires especially.

  • I like how it got in sync with each side makes it sound like its got a blower surge not cams

  • Do you have LM1s or LM2s

  • There is no LM1 or LM2 for the 05-09 mustangs they are just SLP Loudmouths.

  • Damn these sound amazing, i researched alot of different cams and these are def the cams im going with. But on a side note, that thing needs some wider rear tires :P

  • dude research the blow by racing camshafts

  • The thing with the blow by racing cams is that they recommend a valve spring upgrade. I rather not have to replace them if not completely necessary.

  • dude its totally worth it they make so much more power, and the thumpr cams from comp similar to the frpp hot rod locked my motor up

  • @elnrownr The thumprs suck, they arent even worth looking at in my opinion. The frpp cams have been proven by my friends over at moddedmustangs to make 25- 30 horsepower. The blow by racing cams dont make much more then that. Plus im going to be putting pulleys on for an extra 5-10 horsepower. This car is my DD so i dont want anything to aggressive. I have my 85 GT with a 347 to run fast times with. I may eventually put a blower on my 06 anyway.

  • Gives me chills. Awesome Stang!

  • NICE!!!!!! puts a ring to the ear like an old flathead with dual stromburgs mmmm.... sounding good

  • not good sound diesel goood pataclack

  • Car sounds mean bro!! What a difference!

  • The whole setup is made by Dynatech it's called Supermaxx. The setup has high-flow cats, and a x-pipe. I have SLP loudmouths which are muffler deletes. I think my idle is around 700 but its been a while since I messed with it.

  • very very nice. sounds great before and even better after. I think the video was condensed and made your rear meats look skinny. Im saving for a full NA build on my 350Z. Pricey but rare and exotic. have fun

  • Thanks. Good luck with the build.

  • sounds good man. now you just need some more tread in the rear so that baby will hook =)

  • lol...its like the idle couldn't make up its damn mind..I love it. What kind of numbers do the 3V's make with cams?

  • Depends on the cams I'm making 340 HP and 319 TQ with a C&L CAI and has a dyno tune.

  • ok a gt(stock) gives about 25mpg.... What is you mpg with the cams?

  • Believe it or not I still get the same mileage. I just had a 12 hour round trip 2 weeks ago and I got 25 Mpg on the highway.

  • Why would anyone like ricers after watching this vid.

  • because the mustang has a live rear axle still.

  • that sick! i love that sound.

  • dude i just got a boner! sounds fuckin wicked!

  • YES THAT is How a Ford SHOULD sound!

    I wanna see more vids!

  • damn sounds bad ass..

  • i have these cams on my 2000 gt with a 2006 3v in it

longtubes and custom O/R X that exits right behind my front tires. straight pipe

    i love this sound

    nice stang btw :]

  • Thanks!

  • Would a ford dealer install these since its FRPP? Also would this eff up my warranty?

Nice car...I love the sound. This may be my next mod.

  • dude i watched your vid you say you have a 3v show us a vid of it with the hood popped? i got to see that and how it looks cause im thinking of doing an 01 i bought that way....

  • is everything else stock besides the cams and headers?

  • No, I have a X-Pipe, High Flow Cats, SLP Loudmouths, and C&L CAI.

  • thanks

  • that definantly sounds like a hot rod

  • Sound like a tractor.

Now That sounds more like it!

Now it sound like a WW2 fighter about to take off.

  • sounds amazing dude

  • Thanks

  • Ding popcorn is ready

  • That's funny.

  • cant sound any better! i dont want you to take this the wrong way but it sounds alot faster than it is,im sure with your stated mods its a 12second car with a lil spray 11s but it sounds like it will hang the tires and run 9s!! i had a 91 5.0 gt with a fairly stock motor headers pro dumps and a real choppy cam and it sounded alot faster than it was. a procharged 03 mach1 wouldnt run me cause of how it sounded.lol, he would of spanked me but.........

  • I have had similar a experience with a corvette that didn't want any simply by how my car sounded. Next on my list is a forged bottom end and a whipple, so I can back up the way she sounds.

    Thanks for the comments.

  • That sounds good!turbos are all the rage but they waste a few seconds building boost while the screw blowers make most of their power down low and almost instantly it should be good for 500-650hp when done.Hearing your car is making me want to build a s197 and im a diehard FOX MAN! Do the frpp hot rod cams work well with forced induction? I wish ford would supercharge the GT mustang from the factory so it would be more competitive with the other 6.0,6.2 and 7.0 muscle cars out there.

  • +1 on the factory superchargers, eventually they will have to go forced induction from the factory to find HP with boost due to future government MPG standards. I think they work, but there are defiantly better cams for forced induction but I will sacrifice some HP loss just for the sound.

  • i agree with you the sound is worth a few horsepower and with a built motor and the whipple you will have a few hp to spare any way. you need to put sum drag style wheels on it and a cowl hood!

  • That sounds good I like the ideas only problem is how to pay for it all. I am dieing for some new wheels though.

  • i know thats the bad thing with building cars is the money. every mod has to be checked to make sure it will work with the next mod cause they might be the only mods for a while.i bought part by part for my 302 then when i had the whole motor in parts under my bed i lost intrest!

  • jesus h tap dancing christ. those cams sound like satan. i found a video a long time ago of a orange c6 that had a similar idle, but the ford sounds better imo... especially when it sounds like every cylinder is firing at the same time lol. well put together car man.

  • Thanks. Nice user name, I also have a 1969 Fairlane Cobra with a member of the FE family a 428 CJ.

  • sweet. im glad to hear someone has one of those. Mine is a 1967 Fairlane GT 390. with a 427 in it now :)

  • Nice, I love the 66 & 67 body style.

  • Sounds like a spider in your garage snapping his fingers! Rumpity-rump! Simply evil sounding!

  • longtubes + loudmouths + HR cams = good choice

  • Or is that "Hot for Teacher"? Awesome, man!

  • Hot for Teacher definitely comes to mind. Thanks for the comments.

  • hahaha I was thinking that just before I read your comment

  • I thought I was listening to the drums in "In a Gadda Na Vidda" by Iron Butterfly. Great sound, man! I'm glad to see hot rodding isn't dead after all.

  • This has been the inspiration video that has cost me a shit load of cash. Just waiting for my custom axle backs now with my fingers crossed. Thanks!!!!

  • Good to hear you were inspired, but the money will be well spent. Good Luck!

  • HOLY CRAP, got my straights. I made it two exits away from the Mustang Shop and turned around and had them slap my FRPP axleback back on. OK I begged them to stay late and put them back on. But I had to do it or I would have always wondered "what if" All in all I am super pleased with all the other mods inspired. You cant be seriously driving aroud with headers and SLPs are you? Do you have Cats on your x-pipe? Im finding the off road h-pipe is a bit unbearable with the exhaust fumes.

  • Yea I have cats. If mine was a daily driver I probably would not be able to handle it either. Honestly mine is bearable until you stand on the throttle.

  • i drove around with longtubes, x pipe, and slps for a while, but it was just too too loud, so i switched to borla stinger catback and it still sounds good

  • nice bro, how would those go with my setup or wat type of cams would rec. 07 GT

JBA Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers,Short Off-road H-pipe for JBA Long Tube Header,3" Maganflow Cat-Back Exhuast System,DiabloSport tuner,

    PAXTON supercharger novi 2200 Air-to-Air intercooled,Motive Gear 4.10:1 Ratio

  • 4:10's and a Paxton supercharger? Holy crap, are you insane or do you just have huge balls? lol

  • I was just going to say the same thing after I read 4.10's. lol That's insane! Why not go with a lower gear ratio?

  • Yeah agreed. Unless you Auto-Cross then I understand, but if you drag then you lose some in the top end. I would go with a 3:55 or 3:73.

  • Damn dude, I would think that with the 4.10s, the supercharger would spool up too quickly and overheat...I'd def. go with 3.73s with a S/C.

  • GET THE PACKS!!! Magnaflow Magnapacks sound much better then their regular exhaust.

  • how did this affect your gas milage?

  • 14-16 mpg/city and 23-25 mpg/highway

  • so basically stayed the same then

  • Yea. I have seen as high as 18 in the city and 28 on the highway, but those days are few and far between. I must have been driving with the wind at my back. Plus those were the computers calculations not my own.

  • ahh ok.thanks for the info!

  • did you need to put bigger gears in the rear? and can you put this cam in the motor without taking it out of lifting it?

  • No, you don't have to change gears but I would recommend it because you will lose some bottom end power and gears are a easy way to make that up. I installed the cams and left the motor in place. There is a Ford Rotunda tool that will allow you too change the cams with out even removing the front cover. It is called a timing chain wedge.

  • what size gears would you recommend and company, and where could i get this tool? I also love you exhaust, but someone told me that I wont pass inspection will slp loudmouths becuase there is no back pressure, but i never even thought this would matter as long as i had higflow cats.

  • I would go with 3.73s or 4.10s. I like FRPP which are Motive gears, but everyone has an opinion on gear manufacturers. Some people like to blame certain gear company's for gear whine, but it is usually the install. I have always found it harder to find a good gear installer rather then good gears. I am not sure on passing state inspections fortunately I live in a state without inspections.

  • that sounds like heaven

  • Did you need to install phase limiters "phasers"? I know the comp thumpers require them.

  • No, Phasers are not needed.

  • Did you need to install phase limiters "phasers"?

  • very nice sound...what kind of exhaust set up are you running ? how much power to the wheels ? thanks...good video btw

  • Dynatech LT's catted X-pipe and SLP Loudmouths.

    337HP/331TQ

  • So did you also install the CNC heads or did you just install the cams?

  • Cams only the heads are about 1400 each. $2800 is a good start on a whipple.

  • Very true and good choice on the supercharger. I myself would go for a Kenne Belle or a Whipple. So how does she run?

  • I haven't been to the track I need to work on the suspension before do that. As far as stop light to stop light she runs very strong. Lots of power and little traction.

  • Ha ha. I recently did a lot of work on the suspension. From the K-member to the adjustable coil-overs. Now I'm looking to upgrade the engine. So what are your where-abouts? I currently live in Texas, and I go to Cleburne/Cresson, Texas to race. It's a road-racing/ auto-crossing track.

  • Evansville, IN There is a local drag strip here that is a waste of asphalt. No road-racing or auto-cross close.

  • What tune are you using??

  • I started out with a tune from Doug at Bama Tunes, but then I took the car and got it tuned on a dyno.

  • Was the tune from Doug pretty solid. I know a dyno tune is always going to yield strong results.

  • Yea, it was pretty good just needed some tweaking. It was a little lean in the bottom end.

  • please post a vid in car acceleration !! please, i want to see how it sounds when you push it !!

    thanks !!

  • do u haev MSN messenger? go2 my profile and msg my ID! z

  • No, I don't have MSN messenger.

  • damn that thing sounds good

  • You have a spider in your garage snapping his fingers man! Nice rumpity-rump!

  • Where did you get your mid-pipe with high-flows? I'm getting these soon but I want to make sure my exhaust isn't too quiet...right now the only exhaust work I've done is FRPP Stingers, but JBA longtubes are coming.

  • My longtubes, X-pipe, and high flow cats are all from Dynatech.

  • Who provides your tune?

  • Speedy Dyno in Owensboro, KY.

  • Man, does that thing ever sound mean! You'd swear it was straight out of the 60's waiting at the staging light! VERY sweet sound!!

  • Just three:

1)Did you check your HP/TQ gains after the install?

    2)Is your car daily driven?

    3) Would you reccomend this mod now that you have done it?

  • Now I know what to expect...I have slp LT's/hi-flo catted X and loudmouths. You dont need to replace the springs on these cams?

  • No, stock springs are OK.

  • im about to get long tube headers in my rsx but wondering if they are really that good?

  • usually a pain in the ass to install, but a good bit better performing than shorties. The longtubes also give a much more aggressive sound, which is worth the money and pain alone, imo.

  • we need another video with the cams out on the road im dying for it!!!! :)

  • u gotta make a new video with the exhaust, i loved the last one but this is just gonna be nasty lol

  • whats your exhaust set up? brand, o/r x or h pipe? mufflers?

  • Dynatech Long Tubes, High Flow Cats, X-pipe,

    and SLP Loud Mouths.
