  • Check out the freemason symbolism in this clp

  • @pushinweight No, the golden era ended in 1992 when Dr. Dre released "The Chronic". After that, everything in hip hop changed.

  • nope.avi

  • Jimmie Hendrix Intro + Oldschool Rap = True Love!

  • @flyhi4ever KRS-one sounds kinda jamaican lol

  • @flyhi4ever

    I think you are talking about Rise and Shine. It was a trio by Chuck D, Kool Moe Dee, and KRS 1.

  • rubbish!!

  • Chuck D is Dope ... But actually not a top 10 rapper like most of hip hop heads say...

  • @HaruTune Who do you hear calling Chuck a top 10 rapper?

  • @hiphopisdead34 ok not most but you know what I mean...

  • @elliottfour Exactly....but it's not only the content of the lyrics which makes you heavy weight MC,it's also your flow,rhythm,charisma,style....and to me Black Thought would have killed Chuck D on the mic...oh and a lot of others would have done it too ....

  • @HaruTune I agree with flow and rhythm, style and charisma to me are more subjective to the listener as opposed to the artist, which can get a lot poor rappers classified as MC's. also it's sad when you don't get to hear mentioned Black Thought nor PRT when "they" speak of the top ten MC's...i guess that's what commercialism has done to the art form we know as hip-hop...MUCH LOVE AND PEACE:}

  • @HaruTune chucks not a top ten because you'd have to commercial an d lack controversy to do it...he just makes relevant lyrics that get ya thinking about the dumb ish going on in the world...and who needs that when I can rhyme about my selfishness, lying, cheating and stealing as long as i stay within a certain box...LOL...PEACE AND MUCH LOVE

  • THIS SONG IS FUCKING AWSOME!!! NO 50 CENT NO FUCKING SELL OUTS!!!

  • @MrSmellytramp Explain Chuck and Griff's collabo with Vanilla Ice.

  • @saj8 SELLING OUT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MUSIC COLLABO...but looking at your people as marks to make money from...vanilla ice as a young man wants to make music for the artistry so he works with chuck and griff, who'll work with someone he cares about the same...as opposed to a 50 whose only concern is 'pay me"...MUCH LOVE AND PEACE

  • @elliottfour Sorry, I'm not gonna let this ride or slide. Nobody EVER accepted Vanilla Ice, and that defense went out 20 years ago and to be honest with you, PE hasn't made anything worth listening to since Bush Sr. was in office. There isn't anything post -91 that I would listen to in PE's catalogue, and a lot of dudes co-signing Chuck know that too. PE are legends, but they've been putting out more wack music for way longer than they have been putting out good music.

  • @saj8 Be honest EVERYBODY was listening to ICE ICE BABY and enjoyed it...the problem with many of us is we become selfish when someone other than black pimps the lifestyle and we find all kinds of excuses to limit them...as for PE I can't find anything irrelevent except they don't have nor use the new high priced productions that newbies have access to, i.e. money...they still have a lot to say and it's very relevent...just because we've moved on in our bored, microwave, give it to me now way...

  • @elliottfour Ice Ice Baby was wack. And I actually liked "U Can't Touch This" and one or two others but for the most part, I was in high school and wasn't buying that Hammer shit. Vanilla Ice was a million kinds of wack and on top of that lying his ass off about his past, so he was pretty much branded a clown.

    Saying Vanilla Ice's wack lyrics are better than today's wack lyrics is like saying White Chocolate tastes better than Milk Chocolate.

  • @saj8 does not mean they don't have anything important to say...too much exposure to the BLING has us missing the boat on what's going in around us...we'd rather be entertained than uplifted, truthfully...but as I always tell my youth entertainment is another way of saying we will 'enter you mentally and contain you" in foolishness...again PEACE AND MUCH LOVE:}

  • @elliottfour and the difference is, two years later, no one admitted to buying that Vanilla Ice joint. A wack record is a wack record, no matter how much you want to spin it. I don't care if it came out in '88 or 2010. "Ice Ice Baby" is every bit as wack as "Crank That". "Da Dip" is just as wack as "Get Silly". At the end of the day, trash is trash.

  • @saj8 but its their art...because it's simplistic and even amaturish does not mean that the artist was at his/her best creativly...not everyone is a van gough and not every CAREER lasts as long as a Marvin Gaye, Mike or a Prince...I think we as CONSUMERS have a tendency to denigrate artists like movie critics because we see our own flaws, failures and or shortcomings in comparison so we either point fingers when they don't meet our previous expectations become sadistic in our jealous MUCH LOVE:}

  • @elliottfour The music just wasn't there with PE on those albums. They were behind the loop at that time production wise and delivery wise- they were trying to make 1988 records in '94 and it didn't work. They didn't change their sound to fit what other artists were doing with There's A Poison Going On either.

    If you make great music, people can't dump on it. You make average/mediocre music and think people are supposed to respect it because of who you are- people will pass it right on by.

  • @saj8 I wish that people not dumping on great music or passing it by was true but I always listen to music in my home/car etc that's good/great that most of us have passed by...most of todays music may give ya' one-two good cuts and the rest you may not want to listen to...well I'll go listen to my Gil Scott Heron "small talk at 125th and Lenox" and Lord Jamar "the 5% album" and hopefully more people will recognize looking beyond the commercialized packaging and restart digging in the crates:}

  • @saj8 OH again MUCH LOVE and PEACE

  • @saj8 That's not exactly true. P.E. fell out of favor because radio and video were being saturated by "gangsta" and "thug" music, such as Snoop, 2Pac, Biggie, DMX, Wu-Tang. This saturation actually started back in '91, but by '94, it was complete, and hip hop's only diversity was the difference between the popular East Coast and West Coast sounds of the time.

  • @elliottfour As far as PE goes, the last thing we need to be doing is giving these dudes passes for making some mediocre shit like this. The later albums were disappointing. The sooner people admit that, the sooner we can move on to see what else they got. As much shit talking as Chuck and Griff does about wack music, they are not sliding with joints like right here. Either come correct or don't come at all.

    One Love.

  • @saj8 their art is their art, we may not like it but it is theirs. at least PE has the freedom to do it their way without playing it safe according to corporate rules, i.e. art lacking originality and creative expression. they'll never have the access to the public arena and minds like the current crop unless they rhyme on a lame platform of same ole same. again we as a whole may not like it but it doesn't deserve to be called wack. lets level the playing field and see what happens after 20 yrs

  • Just to let you know if you didn't know. Chuck D has a radio show on Air America. And free downloads at Air America dotcom.

  • ok i'm a big fan but i think he have a stress with whites people..called it racism..because he talk about poor condition of black people in usa..but the poor condition of mexican, white, chinese, or whateva..so ..

  • You must be missunderstanding.

    He doesn't speak just for black people.

    I dont get what the hell youre talking about.

    Anyway this aint racist. To me its just common sense.

  • @bozhood Check out video video for this!

  • @bodamarius No, he has a problem with racists and blacks destroying their own community rather than bettering it.

  • @bodamarius truthfully if you are a fan you'd know he does have a problem with the conditions of Blacks in America because that's who he is...it's difficult to speak about the conditions of others especially when they don't express their dissatisfaction with the problems they face...if you know chuck you'd know he's the least likely person to call a racist...he like I will not use his position to denigrate nor hurt others...PEACE AND MUCH LOVE
