  • hi, i have a question im 19 but does your son rock back and forth on couches, while playing video games, i think i might have autism i used to do that... mines was a little worse.. i used to rock really hard on couches.. i stil do but lightly... i would love if you repled back...... thank you

  • He does love music as well.

He wears noise canceling headphones most of the time.

I just wanted other parents to be able to see what some children(and adults) w/autism do :)

  • dont know if ur aware but there was a high pitched sound in the background and it seemed like it was bugging him when he was rocking :)

  • I am an adult with Aspergers- I do stuff like this in my bedroom alone, but I like to do it with music usually. I wouldn't worry about this because as people with AS/HFA get older they stop doing it in public. Like all kids they learn it isn't something they should do in public. I have a very high IQ and a college degree, so be encouraged that he will be just fine.

  • @pumibel

I didn't stop doing it in public, it comes out when I'm stressed on the bus.

  • @faeryshivers oh well I'm sure there are stranger things on the bus!

  • Just to inform the 'not-so-educated' on autism peeps :A 2 minute video can't even begin to show what this child is like-sure,some of you may say that this behavior looks normal, but you're only seeing a small fraction of the behaviors.

As a parent of a child with ASD,I can vouch and say that you really don't know what anyone is dealing with.

There is probably alot more to this picture than what this short video.

  • That TV is so high pitch it's hurting my ears. Consider getting a flat panel. Children are probably even more sensitive to it.

  • He's plugging his ears because the TV makes a buzzing noise that kills my ears also!

Just letting you know what I think.

  • A good neurologist can help diagnose a child as to whether autism or aspergers is involved, or if its something else. And love and accept them, no matter what, and get appropriate therapy for them, no matter how far and wide you have to go to find the right caring and treatment.

  • this is called stimming?!??!?! my friends child does this and we're like STOP lol but now we know.......

  • He looks normal to me! I don't see anything wrong, if you call autism wrong. To me it's another way of thinking and doing things. He is a beautiful boy, that's for sure =-)

  • My thoughts exactly.... I dont get half of these videos showing autism......

  • videos are there to help other parents & others to know the signs.

  • He definitely has it! He is rocking, covering his ears. He doesn't really respond properly to his name. The music in the beginning also seemed to bother him. He also acts like all the autistic kids I know! He is a very cute kid though.

  • omg! we was watching wonderpets!

  • looks like aspie is another way of saying shy boy

  • he looks finme to me.... but then i gave aspergers...

  • This is a perfect example of what I needed for my school project. To bad I cannot download it. If there is anyway that it can be done it would be great.

  • u can download it - its easy lol
