I was 17 years old, and he invited me over to his place in Burbank every Saturday morning for almost a year to sit an play bass together. We would put on our favorite albums, and trade licks. I was so into funk and slap playing, and he was focussed on jazz. It was great since he pushed me to play more jazz and fusion stuff which made me a much more versatile player. So cool.

I've heard a few of her solos and wanted to comment on "fret buzz". This seems to be pretty consistent with her and frankly I like it - it sounds like a REAL BASS and not one of those jobs with the neck as wide as an ironing board.
