Well not to be a prick, but wolf eels never get more than 7ft in length, just like anyone would do they exaggerate to make their story more interesting. It's like snapping turtles, everyone tells these stories of snapping turtles amputating hands, and feet, when in actuality their bite is not anywhere near powerful enough, and they're quite docile if your gentle. (I have one as a pet)
