Memphis and Louisville were pretty tense rivals back then, it started with football and moved into other sports. its funny how college games dont use the players names though i always laugh about that. and another side note i actually have this game somewhere around here, its the only college basketball game i have.

i dont know if youll know who im talking about but Dickie V (the announcer) is JUST as annoying in real life as in the game lol

They don't use the player's names because they can't. College players are amateur athletes, not pros. There's no players association. And, NCAA regulations prohibit them from making money off of their sport. So, no royalties. That's why these NCAA basketball games and NCAA football games don't use the real names. Of course most of these games have options for you to rename the players. No harm if you put in their real names.

I'm not much of a sports fan, but If anything I'm a fan of Kentucky Wildcats, but I rarely ever watch basketball, so I dunno lol
