How do you catch the fish? I try pressing all buttons when they get the bait, but they always run away (but they leave the bait in the hook, at least).

Im sorry but I must disagree on one point here. I witnessed a friend of mine fishing the lake guardian and he didnt have Shellmon in the city. maybe shellmon makes it a little easier idk but its surely possible to fish the guardian without it too. You just need a special bait for it, namely those badass fishes from the upper part of the lake(i forgot what they were called^^; )

I finished that guardian lake at 40 minutes =) and with the old fishing rood (found on the trash montain).. ihave seen in the other videos and google that seadramon is hard to fish, but i dont think so... the hardest thing is make him be hooked.. when he is hooked, it only takes 2 minutes to take him from the water... the way i fished him was:

_ until he is hooked, keep pressing X and square when the bare is getting red, stop pressing X and press only square.. until he gets fished

@thereturnofman295: Cherrymon most likely looks that way because not only was this game made before Cherrymon appeared in the Anime, but this game was also made before the Mega level generation existed (even though Mega level Digimon DO appear in the game). Also note how MetalGreymon is using his original design and not the orange one we all know and love. That and the graphics for games at the time were simple and the Cherrymon we know would take up too many pixels for the PS1 to handle.

I got it when I was 7, did pretty bad, agaih when I was 10, did good, and again now I'm 14 and I can't get to bug Island. Read the walkthroughs get there at afternoon and go fishing. Nothing. Any ideas why?

I know how you feel, I got this game used when I was 10 now I'm 18 and still can't finish the game cuz it got scratched up and I can't play it anymore, keeps freezing. Seadramon, the lake gaurdian, will appear only on the edge of the lake. Maybe you either are fishing in the wrong spot or you picked the wrong time of day. While fishing for him you'll see a serpant like fish shadow in the lake. Be carefull though it's not easier than it looks catching him. Good luck!

go fishing right when the dot (on the clock/time) hits noon (orange), right before you throw in your rod (use meat by the way) hold circle and use the d pad to move the screen, move the screen to the left and wait a couple of seconds and if you see a long dark shadow, that's him, if you dont see him then exit dragon lake and re-enter again. This is what I did to catch him. hope this helps.

eventually in the swamp next to the shit mountain place sorry for language lol you have to beat a little blue fish thing 1000hp WEAK and then you will be taken to a giant frog digimon and you need digimon cards to get merit points to get cards you need unimon,patamon,betamon,biyomon and coelamon in the city which is that hard you should have the rest but unimon is in the path thru to mt panorama and give him a recov he will join then a card machine will be there buy cards and sell em to frog

yeah, you need to get 300 merit points from shogungekomon, and buy the amazing rod, you get the points by giving him digimon cards.

you dont need Shelmon in town to fish seadramon. In my german version I couldn`t get in Ogremons Cave and so I couldn`t become Shelmon in town but I fished the Seadramon too ^^ (Sorry for my bad english)

I fished the Lake Guardian long, long time ago... But I wasn't so good in this game, that I might cliked something else than that what you cliked. And I don´t remember, because it was so LONG time ago. And now Im trying to catch that stupid Lake Guardian, but it isn´t in there. I'we been trying hundreds of times, but i isn't there. How can I find him?

How can I get Seadramon? I followed the requirements with Betamon but it digivolves to Coelamon. This is a good thing because I can use the glitch to gat MegaSeadramon but I still want to get Seadramon.

It takes a little bit of time, Seadramon, and Coelamon both have almost the same stat requirements. If you go over on one of Seadramon's you get Coelamon, so try to get the exacts.

I got a glitch in this spot with Seadramon, after I rested an hour after training a Kuwagamon's gym my Seadramon became Airdramon and then became Phoenixmon. I don't know how it happened.

ohh the lake guardian you must have the shelmon in the city.then go to dragon eye lake (you must be in the lake afternoon ) then you will see HUGE SHADOW Swimming in Circles in the lake.try to cath him(it will take alot time).

Ah - I believe you have to bring a digimon that is capable of digivolving, because to get him to come to the city you have to show him the digimon he rescued AFTER it digivolved.

I think it might only work with babies and in-training actually... Well, try it when your greymon dies. ;)
