There are plenty of players who love to hit but don't pull off shit like that. He definitely did not lighten up on the hit because he gives Staal an extra shove. And even then, when Staal is off balance like that, the slightest nudge can knock him over.

I love just how fast Erik Cole reacted when he saw the hit. That type of boarding is a sore spot for him after Brooks Oprik hit him in 05-06, breaking his neck, so it's great to see him stand up for a team mate like that. No one messes with the All-Star MVP and gets away with it.

It wasn't dirty. It was a good hit. There's some d-bag players (Ohlund) who would have taken Staal from behind and nailed him over the bench. What you don't understand is that Staal was moving in that direction and it doesn't take much of a hit for him to fall like that. Not dirty, Voros is a fine hockey player.

I hope someone can get the video of it if I can't. The comparision is quite clarifying.
