I remember in September, 1973, there was a

"Shea Says Goodbye to Willie Mays" night,

when WIllie received a motorcycle for his son,

and then gave flowers to Mrs. Joan Payson.

Now, Willie says goodbye to Shea.

Somebody needs to post some classic Mets games, like the '73 season.

Darryl won rookie of the year with the Mets, drove in over 100 rbis 3 times with the Mets, won his first world series with the Mets and made 6 all star games with the Mets. I think it is also safe to assume his best years were with the Mets.

Umm...Dwight Gooden won the NL Rookie of the year with Mets, the Cy Young award with the Mets, won the game to clinch the 86 NL East with the Mets, won his first world series with the Mets, and was a 4 time all-star with the Mets. I think it is safe to say his best years were with the Mets.
