It is not possible to convert from amps to milimeters. There is no direct relation between power and length. .

It was built for a customer who was attempting to move at 50Hz over a short stroke (0.1). He had originally purchased a Voice Coil Stage which had a ball slide bearing assembly. After several million cycles the friction of the steel balls was wearing an indentation in the bearing assembly preventing smooth continuous motion of the slide. The stage was modified using Air Bearings which allow for smooth frictionless motion without the worry of wear allowing for many millions of cycles.
