Also, I should not that they both thought it was hilariously funny that everyone took it so seriously and, when asked would insist that this fight was real.

Of course it wasn't - we had never even been to New Mexico at that point and this video eventually inspired Jerry to get a large MIDI jack tattooed on the back of each of his arms. Anyone who played with Jerry knows that it was HE who insisted on playing without in-ears. It was a point of pride for him. He thought they were "gay."

In light of recent events and as someone who was playing in the band at the time I feel like it's important to clarify that was all a joke and should not be taken evidence, in any way, that Juan is a "douche" or a "dick." If anything it is evidence of their profound and long friendship and shared, unique sense of humor.

Dude, just go Winger style and get a headset mic/in-ear combo. It's like, look, if you're gonna go headphones or in-ear monitors, both are lame so just go all out and get a wireless headset mic with lots of LED lights on it. Quite possibly the only thing worse than Bluetooth. Oh, Jerry Fuchs is a motherfreaking manimal on the drums.
