Does it get any better. I am jocking this guy so hard ever since I saw him on the fresh air tour. We need him to be the future or Hip-Hop. There really is nobody more qualified.
Listen to the lyrics dumbfuck, its about a black man that returns from WWII and is still a victim of racism, and if you think racism isnt a problem anymore you just a fucking moron, I mean ever heard of Rodney king, James Minter, Nathaniel Jones or William Duncan? That shit happens every day so open your eyes and become knowledgeable about what you speak of or your gonna get ripped apart like this everytime you say something stupid
He wasn't saying that cops still beat black people for no reason anymore. In the song he was still back before or during the civil rights movement. Like two lines before that he says his woman works across the tracks where no blacks come back. And also, even still today cops instead of beating black people they pull them over more often and show other blatant forms of racism.
actually, i saw in a local newspaper of a black man that was beaten badly very unnecessarily in north minneapolis. they even have a video up on the net of it
listen to all the stuff from the rhymesayers label, atmosphere, POS, brother ali, they all make totally amazing music. minneapolis hip hop is where its at.
