Why would most typical users need a command line? They only want a quick starting OS running Firefox or Skype or IM something. Which is what this is.
We would hardly be expecting typical non-techy computer users to know what to do with a Bash prompt anyway.
You want a command line, that's easy. Just put any Linux distro on the thing.

how do you install splashtop on usb stick?
i'm such a nub... I don't know how to make the usb stick bootable. do i extract the file from the .tar and just drag it to usb? how to i make it bootable?

ah, asus linux should be free to install on any mobo.
