  • I'd let Rambo park my car

  • 0:48

  • "Back there I could fly a gunship!! I could drive a tank! I was in charge of million dollar equipment!!!!

Back here I can't even hold a job parking cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • Rich politicians who wants to send young men to war, should go themselves first.

  • As a former US army Drill Sergeant, Infantryman, and Vietnam era veteran, this film sums up what many of us had to go thru upon returning from Vietnam or serving during that time. Very realistic and actually had one of my Vietnam friends suffer from the mental vigors of war, only to be shot by an off duty policeman for public drunkeness.

Stallone was tremendous in this movie, along with Dennehy, and Crenna. Thanks for helping people realize the cost our soldiers pay to keep our freedom.

  • WHOLY shit i remember my buddie and i in iraq saying when we come home we going to vegas and i was gonna drive my car till the engine breaks down.

  • Necro!

  • This scene still manages to grip me 30yrs later.. much respect to all the vets out there who saw it all 1st hand on the front lines

  • awsome scene so much truth in this

  • "I can't find you're fucking legs!!" best line ever

  • i always remember my grandpa's face when he saw this scene. he looked even more uncomfortable than troutman. he was a vet of the vietnam war too.

  • stallone deserved an oscar

  • I dont understand what he says right there at the end... just a bunch of wah wah wah wah wah

  • @MrRokdapus its kinda normal, its a mental breakdown, he's just mumbling things about wars. Even I, which english isnt my primary language, can understand...

  • Everytime, I see this I lmfao

  • Sorta better when he doesn't speak.

  • crying and talking stallone..very hard to understand

  • @yankfan08161985 I could understand :)

  • how can anybody watch this without laughing?

  • idk if anybody realizes how epic this scene is... this is so classic its ridiculous

  • @akclan33 PARKING cars.

  • @akclan33 Yeah, That's what I heard

  • Rambo: First Blood remains as one of the most effective anti-war films ever made. Despite eventually being run into the ground as a tasteless and typical action franchise, the original made clear messages about veterans affairs, and is one of Stallones best performances as an ACTOR, not an action star. Born on the 4th of July is the only anti war movie that tops this, if you ask me.

  • @Y2KillerSPOOBLY how did u feel about full metal jacket?

  • @wgregorios Full Metal Jacket was definitely a film that made an impact and has its place, but personally I prefer Rambo and Born on the 4th of July - 4th of July was a film that was horrifying to me during high school when I first saw it. It was painful to watch, worse than any horror film I've seen. Full Metal Jacket is definitely great, no doubt about it. Maybe I'd rank it third, Im not sure.

  • @Y2KillerSPOOBLY

Really? Rambo is really the mass dissemination of American exceptionalism through Hollywood. Now we're stuck with a lie.

  • subtitles please ?

  • Sadly... A lot of 'Nam vets are in the same spot...

  • i wanna drive my chevi, i sayed well wait i cant find your fukin legs, i cant find your legs. thats my new ring tone :)

  • @trentdavid100 who shit in you're cereal bowl asshole

  • That sounds horrible, what his story was. A kid said "shine" then his friend opened the shoe shine box and it was a bomb and his body parts and guts fell all over rambo. That is really horrific

  • 10 people never been to war.

  • totally awesome! sly is an amazing actor!

  • That's why Rambo always has been my Favorite hero.

That's why I always see myself like him:

Because he is a LONE WOLF against the world.

With no wealth. No luck. And no happy ends.

  • @filipinowhiteboy I agree,

  • Brilliant acting by Sly !

  • There are times when you feel like a man against the world, when luck is never on your side, when it seems like all hope is lost and you're destined for defeat. When these times come it's up to you to man the fuck up and go get those motherfuckers who're making your life miserable. I'm coming to get them!

  • ``Nothing is over,nothing``

  • I can't fucking believe that people are actually making parodies of this one.

  • our Men in the field NOW, are gonna come home to almost the same thing as far as work is concerned.

  • @StuUngar Sly was great before becoming an old woman

  • This was a great movie and sad ending depicting a "breakdown" of a Vietnam Vet suffering from PTSD. The irony of the ending is interesting. Rambo finally breaks down, falling to his feet and remembers the tragic loss of his friend. Richard Crenna (Col. Troutman) does a great job, he looks so uncomfortable, like he didn't know how to respond. He suddenly realizes that Rambo is not a machine, but a human w/emotion. Great acting by both, love this movie.

  • There will NEVER be another time like the 80's Action Hero Stars.

All these shit model actors nowadays, they're fucking pathetic.

    1950's. 1960's. 1970's. 1980's. 1990's. Those where THE DAYS !! THE REAL MEN.

I mean: Charles Bronson. Clint Eastwood. Chuck Norris. Sly. Arnold. Bruce Willis. Van Damme. Steven Seagal. Bruce Lee. Steve McQueen. Humphrey Bogart. De Niro. Pacino. Lee Marvin. John Wayne. They played TRUE characters.

  • @sergandtash It could also be interpreted as an officer coming to grips and seeing that enlisted men have to deal with the brunt of the consequences of war... in general.

  • * a muslim shreds a tear

  • One of the most intense and sad scenes in movie history.

  • R E S P E C T F O R RAMBO!!

  • "I can't find your fucking legs" The way he says that line is great. This was by far the best 3 minutes of acting by Stallone.

  • emotional scene but when he says "my friend is all over me" i laugh

  • NOTHING IS OVER !!!! NOTHING!

  • John Rambo is Native Indian in case people didn't know!

  • @2jzgteSupraJZA80 i read somewhere he (the character) was a mixture between native and german

  • Why does everyone try to turn this into some kind of right-wing propaganda? I think the point of it (Stallone's marginal acting aside) is to focus on what that unnecessary and illegal war did to so many otherwise promising young men.

  • Fuck Liberal. They are bunch of Maggots and hippies shits. They disrespect our troops by spitting at them, protest against them, called them baby bombcrap, and all negative. I bet you dumbass Liberal protest WW2 how fucking stupid I guess you were suckling Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo's balls.

    LIBERAL GO TO HELL.

  • @XXM1T90XX Your argument is intellectually dishonest. It's baseless conjecture.

  • @MGX

    Whatever hippie.

  • US government sucks

  • best speech ever

  • the walk out of police station the greatest scene in the history of movie making astonishing

  • @MrMarques012 The book is different

  • Stallone also thinks this is his best scene in film. Search YT for the original ending, this was not the way First Blood was to have ended. Rambo actually dies but the producers thought it was too depressing an ending. It also didn't go over well with test audiences. But it's also a pretty good scene too.

  • Respect for all wounded fighters, physicaly or morally, from all times, from all countries.

  • @ElGladiateur thank you.. for humility humanity ..

  • this didnt get stallone a nomination at the oscars for best actor why? this is his second best performances to date next to his performance in Rocky. one of the best movies of all time.

  • @goldwaterproductions why stallone didnt get an oscar for this role will forever be a mistery

  • All the people talking about liberals and conservatives can just be quiet. As a liberal with several friends in service I can never truly relate to what Jon Rambo is saying personally but I know of people who have been scared by war just like this. before you go and make an argument either way just know that there are truly people out there who suffer like this

  • 10 people couldn't find their legs

  • 10 people wouldn't help

  • I love Rambo movies.

  • 10 People must be the cops outside.

  • I havent seen this movie in a while but no matter how many times I see this scene, I still am moved to the point where I almost cry. This scene is raw and powerful and contains Stallone's best performance. It shows what Stallone's career could of been (a serious actor) as opposed to it end up becoming be (an action star). Don't get me wrong, I love his action films he made later on but for those who say he can't act, watch this scene and you'll find a real actor working here.

  • Comment removed

  • @moviefreak2011: I somewhat agree with you... Stallone could have been a serious actor, never a De Niro, but a respectable actor instead of the action movie star he actually became. In my opinion his best acting was that of Rocky I when he tells Adrian that nobody had gone the distance with Creed and if he did he would know for the first time he is not only another bum from the neighborhood... BRILLIANT ACTING!!!

  • 10 people called us baby killers.

  • @XXM1T90XX You don't see to get it do you?

The problem is not the liberals is war itself, war is no good for anyone just look at this scene were he just feels like he doesn't feel like he fits in society.

I don't know whats your point? The movie doesn't criticises liberals neither this scene, but what does criticise is war

  • ah 240p, i've been expecting you

  • 10 people can't drive their chevy

  • "and nobody would help!" it makes me cry everytime.

  • @Lunchbox171717 me too.

  • only a soldier knows the heart of a soldier. its a lonely place.

  • And people say Sylvester is a bad actor...

  • @Aleeexx974 I also am so angry with people who disrespect the tremendous talent of Sylvester...

  • 10 People think it's over.

  • It always annoys me when people rag on Stallones acting talent, they need to watch First Blood, Copland, Rocky and Rocky Balboa, he's a great actor. It also annoys me how people seem to think his mumbling is bad acting, idiots.

  • It's been the same story since WWI. I don't envy the men who have to live with that kinda shit in their head.

  • 10 people tell rambo crap at the airport!

  • Fucking Liberal! They screw our troops in Vietnam, War in Iraq, and War in Afghanistan. They are bunch of fucking dumbass, brainwashed, and dumb sheep.

  • @XXM1T90XX these people were fighting for their country, and they were ordered to do some bad thing, they feel guilt for what they couldnt help

  • @XXM1T90XX oh lol i just noticed the "they" in ur statement, lol please excuse my previous statement, i thought u were dissing our troops, lol i totally agree with you

  • He should have been nominated for an Oscar that year base on this scene alone.

  • NOTHING IS OVER! NOTHING!!!

  • 10 people think it's over.

  • i love this scene, i might be alittle over done but being a OIF vet i can relate

  • 10 people met that shoeshine boy :/...

  • My brother is like this,he hates people that act like douche bags and that are disrespectful. He dosent have feeling in his legs from shrapnel and a head injury. He has PTSD and chocolate tastes ugly to him.He cant remember some memories from when we were children. Its sad how people make fun of this scene.

  • @jrewdown21 hell, it's sad that so many people were so horrible to the soldiers returning home. Vietnam was a horrible war. But that is no reason for disrispect

  • Colonel Campbell?!!!

  • @greendayrocksmuch yeah. Suprised? Most of Metal gear's characters were based on real life celebreties

  • I did this monologue to try out for a play at my school, I GOT THE LEAD YEAH!

  • This scene is pretty good until he brings out the waterworks

  • @mddowlin why he's playing Vietnam vet. that saw his good friend get blown up and you wonder why he crys

  • "With what?! I can't find your fuckin legs~!" Probably the most unintentionally funny line I've heard ^_^

  • I'm a gulf war veteran. This is the first time I've watched this scene and now I'm planning to rent the movie. This scene reminds me of how many veterans return from war and have difficulties adjusting to a civilian life. Sylvester Stallone is just an actor but this scene, showing a U.S. veteran with PTSD symptoms and anger issues, was done perfectly. No one truly understands the ugliness of war and what many veterans go through unless the person was there.

  • @empathictempest79 like civilain caught in it aswell. Seriously i feel for you......even though im muslim.

  • @empathictempest79 Thank you for your service to our country. We owe our freedom to the men and women in our armed forces.

  • This scene ever since I was a boy, always made me realise how FUCKERIES people actually are

  • 10 people are maggots!

  • It always annoyed me when I heard about the hippies and their "baby killer" comments. A lot of these young men didn't have a choice, they were forced to go...

  • @Unknownsage13 Indeed Vietnam was a draft first example of such in American and world history when they came home and found that everyone turned their backs on them.... I cant imagine how that feels losing and then coming hom to find noone gives a damn about you....... Thats just gutting...

  • sometimes its a day a week or now and i am there with bullets flying and and i am dying inside always dying inside.

  • Text version: NOTHING IS OVER! WHO ARE THEY TO PROTEST ME?! UNLESS THEYVE BEEN ME! I COULD FLY A GUNSHIP! PARKING CARS! UGHAA UGA FRIEND. UGGA AIRFORCE. FUCKING CAR. UGARFF TIRES FELL OFF. FUCKING BLEW HIS BODY ALL OVER THE PLACE. AAGEF UGGA FIND HIS LEGS! I CANT FIND HIS LEGS!

  • Rambo you should of gone and killed Nixon.

  • the war protesters were totally stupid.....

  • 10 People Wanna Go Home.

  • It's the disabled embedding people don't like.

  • I feel for Rambo, they pushed him to the limit

  • "Who are they to protest me, huh?!"

  • The way we treat our vets is sometimes very good.....not always...and that is a shame on so many levels.

  • Aah 1 person doesn't like other peoples opinions on YouTube. It's a movie not real life. Don't say what is, and what isn't. Family of all Marines in every war. You want to say we do not know who starts wars, fight wars, die in wars. There is no win. There is just death. Get out of here with that "99546144".

  • stupid kids commenting in here about 10 people cant do this and 10 people cant do that.. this scene is soo much more you stupid fucks.. so much more.. and all that say about the soldiers that help for your freedom, in Iraq etc.. its all politics it has nothing to do with freedom in the US, absolutely nothing. politics and financial thats all.. and in the scene rambo sais it wasnt my war.. meaning it is not the soldiers war.. its the politicians that sent them trhere..

  • haha repeat 0:57 over and over

  • That was Hell ! ....Can not feel my legs !

  • 10 People can't even hold a job parking cars

  • I can´t find fuckin legs!!!!!

  • For 10 people, it's all in the past now.

  • PARKING CAAARS!!!!!!

  • It truly is a sad portrayal of a man.

  • It's hard to take this kind of rant seriously when it sounds like his mouth is full of cotton.

  • who ARE they to protest me?!?!?

  • Stallone is a bad actor but he's very charismatic, popular and well-liked by his fans because he made a kind of cinema that made many people happy, just like myself, and because he's a nice guy.

  • Stallone gets so much crap for a lot of his . . . er, questionable roles. But this monologue is one of the best performances in film history.

  • Easily one of Stallone's greatest performances. IMO this made First Blood. The last speech turns Rambo from a sort of of mildly expounded vagabond into a person who, in the end, just wants to live a peaceful life but cannot understand how to anymore. Stellar performance, even nearly 30 years later.

  • inspirational Movie

  • Best ever! Nothing is over! nothing! I love it!!!

  • Oh, man, I just LOVE this movie. And I miss SO MUCH that awe-inspiring feeling I got when I had first seen it...

  • Rambo learned the hard way how honor is more or less absent from the modern world

  • The difference between 80's (best decade) & actually is: RAMBO (hero) vs dexter (killer)

  • ACtion movies are so fucking Underrated. This is a materpiece. And he just wanted to eat ffs, why cant he eat?

  • God dammit why didnt he get an oscar for this.

  • @Slayerkid16 Cause The Academy sucks.

  • @poet279 true.

  • This was a deep scene remember watching in complete silence holding my breath up to the point where he said "With what I can't find your fucking legs" then i just cracked up but still r8d scene what makes the movie so memorable after all the rampage he just lets loose verbally.

  • When he says "Nothing is over! Nothing!" He kind of sounds like Stewie from family guy.

  • Comment removed

  • NOTHING IS OVER!!

  • Man this scene is so strong... Damn, Rambo is the coolest ever!

  • the most underrated scene ever

  • Manly tears... this should be on hd man

  • they sure don't make movies like this anymore

  • Comment removed

  • What the fuck is Sly talking about?

  • @leafyutube he's talking about a vietnamese kid offering to shine his buddy's boots, then when he opens the shoeshine box, it blew up, and he had pieces of his buddy all over him. his buddy kept telling him "I want to go home" as he was dying.

  • still gives me the chills everytime I see this. Stallone is a great actor and totally underrated.

    Excelent Scene!

  • @35legrand nowadays we dont have actors, look at the older days where people acted, eastwood, bronson, stallone, schwarzanegger,

  • HAPPY 65TH BIRTHDAY, SYLVESTER STALLONE, AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE!

  • This is one of the most saddest & touching scenes in any movie to me, because many of our vets come back home and unfortunately, the war comes home with them. I can never imagine the hells our men & women have to endure after serving our country, but I thank each and everyone of them for their sacrifice. Thanks to Rambo for portraying the pain our vets have to endure, and may God keep our men & women serving this country.

  • @mystery456 Amen

  • @mystery456

    Amen!

  • @mystery456 liberals like kerry says soldiers are "fool" coz they give their lifes, liberals only think on money

  • Why the **** is there a stupid Obama announcement up to the left, screw dat ****

  • Um...WHAT ARE U SAYING SLY
