@poochefmarowbe yes yes it is , so i was wondering , if i was to strip down a hotwheels how would i go about getting the paint off , do i use a liquid paint stripper or should i sand it down ? and do i use primer and how many coats of clear coat
@georgeman21222 Just use brake fluid soak the body in a container for a day then rinse with water and use a tooth brush to clean the residue. I don't use primer unless there's lot's of pocks in the casting. You don't want to much paint you'll loose the details. For best results I use an air brush I'll be doing some painting videos in the future once I get my bench in order.
Cool VID. I just started customizing my Hot Wheels & u have been a very BIG help. Thanks. Awesome Job dude! Just 1 question what is that 5 gal. bucket with the cut out used for?.......:-)
Love these videos I started a custom 83 Silverado but U need to save some coin for supplies. How much would you say a fair amount of supplies cost without tools?
@z1546796 thanks for the kind words, supplies hum? I guess it depends how far you what to go. Just start out small and build on the fun factor, simple wheel swaps then rattle can paint jobs. If you really get into it you could spring for an air brush. I just depends how interested and how far you want to take it. As far as a dollar amount i'll say 20.00 bucks for starters on supplies, it's the tools that will kill ya! Thanks
you make it look so easy!
