  • is a desk a computer?

  • I love Barney but don't always agree with him, I think he would be a nightmare to work with. But then I guess most musician/songwriters/performers would be the same.

  • pure hiphop

  • "the new techno sound" theres nothing techno about new order

  • Bullshit, New Order was plenty techno. Or Techno-ish. They just were not LOCKED INTO the sound like most techno-ish bands. Thanks to Hooky and his omnipresent basslines. And they still had plenty of rock songs too. They defy categories. But, they do have a techno feel at times.

  • @djeboe please define techno. the word techno was first used to lable musik in 1988, and their elector sound developed far earlier than that. techno didnt exist. maybe i dont know what techno realy is, but to me new order is sooner electro than techno. techno to me is like scoter and prdigy

  • @IStehSHIT the point I am trying to make

is that the sound is very techno-ish, and if

anything, it is a PRECURSOR for what you

    call techno.

  • @djeboe allright, you win, there is someting techno about new order, but theres nothing like caling new order techno. agreed?:) sinse it was not even invented by then, and you cant really claim new order for inventing the word, even if the techno sound might have been inspired by new order. or am i still wrong?

  • @IStehSHIT The term techno was first used in 1980 ,1981, it was an abbreviation of techno new wave (electronic new wave), examples:depeche mode, erasure, human league, devo, yazoo, soft cell, etc. New Order began as a new wave, and a techno new wave band, later they did a techno new wave that used disco/dance beats.

But there a difference between techno dance (prodigy) and techno new wave(depeche mode , new order)

Techno new wave was an interesting and innovator rock style.

  • what about detroit techno(?) new order and kraftwerk were massive influences on that. too much is made of these terms like techno or electro.they mean different things through the ages. prodigy were influenced by techno but don't sound like new order.

  • @martin3801 . well maybe im just like one of those guys that you say goth to and they think of marlyn manson, or sombody else whos music suck, and not bauhaus, who invented the hole era back in the seventies. but with techno, this since ive come to hate almoast every thing that have com up with the lable techno, for at least the past 19 years. and everthign called goth fot this line of time to.

  • Do you have the rest of this? or where can I find it?

  • get em on the x factor and show kids what real music is like

  • Thats what IM sayin!! Fuckin Fruity Loops (Instant DJ/Beat Maker....JUST ADD WATER) Get a Jupiter 8, 808, 909, 303, 101, Prophet V, Fairlight, OB-8, AND Emulator,, NO COMPARING THE SOUNDS IN A MILLION "FRUITY LOOP" YEARS!!!!

  • you cant help being lifted by this tune

  • Is nice to see Arthur In a enterviue. In my opinion Arthur Baker was the best Electro producer ever till this day!!!
