  • That table is curious looking, with the black wood and all

  • "He's in the zone, and he get un-zoned"

    Epic

  • Watch this clearance 38:45

  • Nice man

  • His name is Alcano, put a V on it and call him Volcano.

  • @tomkingsbridge haha right

  • immonen at 29:50...epic...haha

  • who is this doddery old git commentator

  • @johnykoop Danny Diliberto.

  • 41:00 is fantastic! a true mark of a champion!

  • Snooker > Pool

  • lol pool players are incredible at potting but have terrible position play.

btw the comentators are total morons

  • @ivakpavlov mikas usually great at positional, he's an accomplished snooker player

  • @ivakpavlov The only moron is YOU!Terrible at position play? You should check out a gentleman named Efren Reyes, then we'll speak again..

  • If you had to bet all your money on one of these guys in a 9-ball race to 100 who would you chose?

  • @400timesmore ronato alcano all the way!!!

  • @400timesmore immonen probably

  • @400timesmore definetely mika

  • it seems alcano just pass by....

  • Alcano's safety at 4:25 is one the best safeties I have ever witnessed...

  • never saw Alcano playing like this.... awesome!!

  • I realize it's not a big sticking point, but I was shocked to see Alcano using a glove. You just don't see that from the philippinos very often. Very wonderful match.

  • Mika smacks his shaft on the table is a rage of fit like a little baby. He shows a lack of respect for pool, his opponent, the fans and the owner of the table! If it were my table and he did that he;d be picking shaft splinters out of his ass.

  • control is wat makes it gereat

  • mikka belived he would miss at 25.50

  • Mika plays efficiently, Alcano plays beautifully.

  • @400timesmore absolutely! alcano is better than imonen!! he is a long lost son of efren reyes... hahahaha... :

  • what happened to the Sorto racks?

  • @jufreese did you mean the Sardo rack? it is all political, they stopped using it, it gave a perfect rack every time i still use it at home even though i have the delta rack, the magic rack and all these stupid commercial products..but it is who pays most to advertise and support...business..

  • @TeenyTiny945 Oh shit, Reyes only won it once! Damn...I thought he had it a few times?

Well there you have it! I still think the Filipino's will close the gap a bit over the coming years though!! :D

Busta deserves a win I feel! So it may be 3 next year some time!?

  • @TeenyTiny945 How many times has it been won by US and Filipinos though. Not arguing or trying to make a point or anything, just curious? Because the 2 Filipinos could have won it 22 times (I know they haven't) Do you know what I mean? I just look forward to years more intercontinental battles on the slate!!! PS. I'm British, we haven't even won it once! :(

  • @TeenyTiny945 There are more American player than Filipino's on tour, and the Filipino's are just starting to saturate the event, if we re-count the stats in 5 years it would be interesting to see what happens. But sure on paper America has produced more champs! :D

  • I mean Humid! DOH!

  • "The weather affects the way a table plays" - you can say that again!

  • @LeonFleisherFan Sure, If it was raining on the table that would really screw up the game! :D

I play here in the philippines and when it's humdi the table plays like a git, the Air-Conditioning also makes things tough at times, it's amazing how something you would barely even notice makes such a difference!

  • @WolfieTed I'd never thought that possible, but we now have problems of the sort in Europe, too, as organizers have started to outhouse the playing arena for some (in particular important) tournaments into marquees (huge pavilion-like tents), where temperature and humidity change all day long, regardless of the quality of air-conditioning (air-drying machines!). Not least of all, humidity makes the balls sticky, so they attract chalk and lint from the cloth, resulting in countless kicks (throw).

  • @LeonFleisherFan Yeah it's a nightmare at times, the humidity out here can be very high and playing in an open bar just makes it silly at times. But I do enjoy the challenge! I consider it a learning curve. If it's good enough for Reyes who am I to complain!? Haha

  • Mika is no doubt very talented but he always wears a picklepuss. He is a winner and should display the attitude of one.

  • ronnie alcano is ridicously good.. amazing match, lots of good shots thank you.

  • haha mika is such a cry baby

  • Mika is one of my faves but his attitude can suck sometimes

  • USA use to be great at pool,, until FILIPINOS start playing and the invation begun....I know ur proud to be american, i respect dat....but don't tell me u guys still hold being da best in pool...sometimes u have to admit dat filipino's took over the crown a long time ago...we were great before and we will be the greatest ever period......don't try 2 play against filipino who doesn't know how to play pool...and telling the world u beat filipinos in pool....

  • @MsBabyface97 Lets just agree that, judging by this video, the US is more than capable of producing some of the worst commentators in the world. :D (I'm american btw)

  • @55vadamee the commentators in my country are far worse..

  • @MsBabyface97 Name me a filipino who will spot SVB like he'll spot them.

  • @tsummerlin84 depends on wut game cus SVB is really good 10ball player.

  • @tsummerlin84 SVB just came to the scene in 2007. So when you say " like he'll spot them"? you mean he can spot reyes, busta, orcullo, alcano, alex, corteza and hundreds of second tiers?? BTW, ALL the names I mentioned can spot SVB in 10ball and rotation. SVB is a great player, but he aint there YET. Not even close to the achievements of sigel, hall, strickland and archer.

  • @MsBabyface97 im american and i concede that. filipinos are better at pool, new zealand and australia are better at graffiti art, all the stuff that we started, we cant seem to maintain, but at least we innovated it...

  • Great match. And awesome pool playing by Alcano.

  • The best tourny in the world has the worst commentators, these guys are horrible, they say the same shit over and over....wth?

  • You know I have been coming and going from Pampanga in the Philippines for a long time now.I have an unbiased opinion as to who are the worlds best players and I am only an average player myself. What I will say is that I have NEVER seen so many good players as I have in the Philippines. One of the comments below was dont ever put ur money on the table with a Filipino and they're right !!! You might win a friendly match but playing a money game will be a whole different ball game.

  • 20:20 GREAT shot!

  • Alcano go to way of Efren Reyes,he's a Great pool player and nice person,so..is thrue..is a MONSTER!!!!!

  • lenmarchant, ur retarded

  • @lenmarchant you could b losin alot of money :P

  • hey pigdisposal ,i got news for ya....filipino players are human. i busted the whole damn town of key west florida playing filipinos. if your scared because of their reputation ,your not gonna book a winner .besides that ,theres only a handfull of great philipine players. the best players in the world come from the great USA .does anybody agree ? post comment.

  • Im not scared of em because i dont gamble more than what i dont give a fuck to loose. It would be insane to try to make a living gambling pool because the weight rises with the inevatable reputation your gonna get if you start taking heads.

  • @lenmarchant So do the biggest shit talkers, apparently.

  • @lenmarchant as a matter of fact, per capita, the republic of the phillipines has more professional pool players than ANY other country in the world.

you say you busted the whole damn town of key west florida... isn't that a retirement community? did they have their dentures in or out when you did it? how many of them did you have to knock out of their wheelchairs to do it?

i think you're a low-rent redneck who talks big on the internet but wouldn't hold up to the worst of the pinoys.... JMHO

  • @lenmarchant consider this: ralf souquet, a german, hold more world pool masters titles than anyone else, mika was just named BD's player of the decade, allison fisher, karen corr, kelly fisher, jasmin ouschan, neils feijen, and a host of other big names come from elsewhere in the world than the USA....

No, i don't agree that the best players in the world come from the USA, although every once in awhile a guy like shane van boening or johnny archer shows up and takes the pool world by surprise.

  • as if youve not heard strickland your best lost to reyes our best in a race to 120 how can you say the best players come from you country. what you saying is a brag and if it's true the filipinos you beat in keywest could be only hobby billiard players.

  • strickland isnt our best dumbass

  • Eyyyy for once the quality of this match is pretty goood!

  • the way efren got good is $ games, and all the filipinos fallow the same blue print. dont fuck with a filipino one on one for money unless your just dying to lose it.

  • where's the finals of this tournament?

  • Ronnie is a MONSTER! Btw thanks BClub!

  • Alcano is definitely the best pinoy around and in my opinion the best player in the world right now... I mean I know mika is the best player after back to back us open and the manilla 10 ball but he is kind of a dick.. lol. great player though.

  • I would say Efren Reyes and alex pagulyan. mis spelled their names :)

  • Interesting.. I love Reyes as well but realistically he isn't what he once was.. Alex is sick but he doesn't play as much as he should be.

  • Well there you have it!! i think that these two are the curent best 9 ball players.

This time Acano wone the match, but if they would play a longer distance match (30 games) it would be a close one.

  • Great video Alcano is a monster, love to see more.

  • if you ever watch him play in person, he is a great player. he doesnt make any mistake, has a good stroke like all the rest of the other philiphinos. he's one of the best i've seen.

  • 3rd time i watched this match but i just now realized ronnie is wearing a glove. didnt know those come in light grey??

  • @pigdisposal I would have never noticed that until you spotted it out. Now that I think about it, a light gray or even beige glove would be so much less distracting. I'm getting me one.

  • Mika looks a little Emo

  • despite his win but im glad he got his as-s whip by alcano. i personally dont like mika's attitude. there's a big chance that i will smack him one day if i ever cross him again. lol

  • yea, hes a whiney bitch, see how he acts at the end of this match? what a joker.

  • yea i bet tough guy

  • i comepletly agree. I watched mika at the latest us open and whenever he was down he would slam stuff around and be disrespectful.

  • the shot that old goon calls at 4:15 is ridiculous.

who in the right mind would be thinking like that?

  • its clear, you dont.

  • I don't think it's such a bad idea.

  • i think playing that shot is a bad idea percentage wise anyways, basically he would have to play each of the shots inch perfect, leaving no margin for error...

    therefore, bad call.

  • What are you talking about? Thats a great shot.

He already has the perfect angle from the 1 to land in that area (which isn't that small), and since the 7 is a little bit off the rail it makes the billiard much easier. Plus you break up the 2.

As long as you dont tie up the 8 and 9 its a smart agressive shot.

  • well looking at it again, i think that if he plays that shot he is going into the pink anyways!!

  • It's close, but i think it passes.

  • hmmm, i guess we will never know! lol

  • Great match. Alcano is great to watch.

Mika is a great player too but is usually outplayed by the filipinos

  • Ang mga Pinoy ang pinakamagaling !! Ibang iba ang Pinoy !

  • Incredible match..Thanx BCN..Best game i've seen in ages...Both in excellent shape and some incredible shotmaking

  • That out in the 9th rack was sick.

  • Alcano played amazing 9 ball.

  • that Two ball....wow. I would have tried to curve but .... but im a flashy player who misses much.hahhaha... great rack though

  • Good match!!! Ronnie Alcano is DEFINITLY gonna be another legend from the Philippines. Philippino players r my favorite for sure!!!!

  • Please Mr Smith, fire yourself and get a announcer with a PULSE!!

  • Wow. I'm always rooting for Mika and even though he lost I gotta say, great match! Alcano did real good here.

    BClub thanks for this video.

  • @noumaissi thanks for the spoiler

  • stop spoling the match please!

  • i saw a video of Ronnie putting the bridge on his shoulder and making the shot. that guy is crucial!

  • i played mika in japan. my hands were freezing. i told Mika its cold, my hands are freezing. He replied, I am the iceman.

    haha i lost 7-0 i got 2 shots haha

  • lol that's awesome. I can't imagine playing one of these guys. All I do is shoot at bars every now and then. If I made a ball in 10 games I'd be happy.

  • ronnie was on fire!!!

  • damn...

    ronnie is in excellent shape

  • nice play by alcano. damzz he is good :)

  • Thanks BCn!!

Video quality looks better on this match. Way to go!

What's up with the Hall of Fame pool Tour?

  • yyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh
