  • What bike was that?

  • I gotta moped but I've always thought these things were' awesome!

  • thats the lazy way do it

  • nice! my first engine bike used that same design, i made my own spindle with spikes though., you should try to incorporate a clutch, with mine the entire engine was on a pivot and a spring so the spindle didnt touch the tire, i then made a back rest that my back pushed against and would engage the engine. it was simple but it allowed be to come to a stop with the engine running.

  • thats pretty cool how do you make one just take the engine and mount it right?

  • @pugdug808 pretty much, mount your spindle to the crankshaft, and then mount up the motor to the frame.

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 can u make a driving vid

  • @6013welder i will as soon as it get's the spindle put back on.

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 thanks man

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 thanks man i cant wait till i get a chainsaw engine for my bike

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 thanks man i cant wait till i get a chainsaw engine for my bike and what colour are u going to paint it

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 can you drag start it or no

  • @6013welder i'm not going to paint it or anything, i may put on a throttle and grips, plus a kill switch... i'm not sure yet. i haven't tried to bump start it yet, the bike, motor and everything weighs alot...

  • dude bad as but i dont c it going very fast cuz the low rpms of a 4 stroke and i have make a weedeater bike chain drivin without a clutch im sure its possibul on this to but more difficult... good job

  • @kdwedge243 it's got a big spindle, and could pull alittle more rpms. once it's fixed i'll make a video and gps it..

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 cool excited to see!!!!

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 strait pipe it

  • okay its good an all but what i dont get is why dont people weld a cog to it and then make it so theres a chain inbetween it and the backwheel rather than compressing on the tire i would have thought this would be much better but harder of corse

  • @VipersPure never seen someone make a chain drive without a clutch, sure it's possible, i still made this because of the simplicity, cheapness and quick to build. it's not the ultimate design, but for weedeaters, i would argue so. they really are simple and can take a beating, never had a problem, the only downside being your limited to dry surfaces.

  • @GSRGOPEDRIDER247 aah right :) cool i think someone should try it tht be quite good wunnit like i wouild have thought so anyway if your good at mechanics then if u can find a cog like off a old bike or have a look at a scrapyard/tip and get it that be pretty awsome lols then every1 would copy it init :L (im not gona try because i aint got enough money to spend on a motor or light weight bike or welding iron so before ppl be lyk well why dont i do it its because i ent got money to play with) :D

  • get a grade 6 bolt (after you get the old one out) and tighten the crap out of it...nice job though, havent seen those motors used for spindle drive before...i used a few for chain driven minibikes, they get up and go, you could definatley get away with a larger ratio for more speed...again, nice job

  • @333JIMB0333 thanks, thought about making something like a minibike out of it but really didn't want to spend much. it's got some crazy torque as is.

  • That's sweet can't wait to see it drive...we made something kinda like yours we took a chain saw motor an put a tire on it then mounted it on the front tire of the pedal bike so the tire would spin on the front tire it works preatty good..

  • @schwinnprotocol thats awesome man
