PS Muddy Waters called who ever was playing with him at the time the best in the world.
Handy Award? Thats like saying I got an award for not being able to write a song worth listening to. Anybody who plays strictly blues is a second rate musician. If they werent they'd be playing something that they could make some money with
Kim does make money with the Thunderbirds, and even if he didn't, that wouldn't make him (or any other blues musician) "second-rate". In fact it means th eopposite - the general public's taste is for "second-rate" music.

I don't know who the rhythym guitarist in this band is - but he is fantastic, he sounds just like Jimmy Rogers in the early-mid 1950s period; and you can't really get higher praise than that.
Not to mention "the punk" won the Handy Award for Best New Artist in 2004. Man, Nick Curran and the Nightlifes was a killer blues band. But he's got a sweet gig now, playing behind the premier frontman in the business.
jimmie has not been in the band for a while but they have energy kim is the true harpmaster. get out and see them live and tell me they dont have energy.
jimmie is also great player , remember the past and enjoy the new. thanks for posting clip
This band ain't the same without Jimmie. Look at the punk playing one of the guitars... not even Kim has the same energy. When Jimmie left it was the end of the real deal.
Kim Wilson has talent, I really dig that kinda music.
Keep it comin'

Just curious...what does Kims harp tech do to his harps...exactly?
I have seen the Rupert DVD, to an out-of-the-box harp...which already sounds pretty good.
Kim is the MAN, in my book. Tireless. Everything he does is fresh..

PPS...umm, yea, whatever...
A few facts, ignoramus:
Muddy DIDN'T do that.
Kim writes some great songs.
Kim IS one of the baddest harp players out there.
Kim does make money with the Thunderbirds, and even if he didn't, that wouldn't make him (or any other blues musician) "second-rate". In fact it means th eopposite - the general public's taste is for "second-rate" music.

the band is better than for years with "punk-Nick". Of course it ain't the same,as with Jimmie or Keith, but still it's a great great band
