  • I can see why they don't hunt bears with crossbows. Damn slow reload if you miss the heart or lungs. If you don't panic you would get a second shot with a bow, though I would carry a sidearm and plan to drop the bow if I missed.

  • @UltmtSniper Those are some great tips! I use to build them and in the test fire shooting range we had some mishaps but luckily nobody was hurt.

  • @chanderson1 Can you recommend a good cheap beginners crossbow?

  • @SaikouHD I am only familiar with Barnett Crossbows. I know their WildCats are easy to pull back without the aid of any cocking device. They are very simple to use and maintain also. Not sure about any other companies offerings.

  • @chanderson1 Ok i think il pick up one of them, thanks for the advice.

  • i love...

  • Do you happen to know if they sell this in all black?

  • NICE my uncle has a hornet yukon SL with green milatary camoflage with no scope and 150 LBS pull back

  • How many arrows can a crossbow fire before it breaks ?

  • I have this bow and my entire scope/mount/assembally shifts a little after each shot and its impossible to keep zero..anyone else experience this problem?

  • 65 and paralized? mega 'lol'

  • Very informative!! Just bought a M & P 15 5.56 mm. The crossbow is next on my things to buy list.

  • @SgtKimo09 Thanks! I would check out Excaliber crossbows. I've had a few issues with the Barnett crossbows.

  • @chanderson1 excalibers bet any other crossbow in the world for the price. your really need a ten point haha what joke a bow with a laser so you don't what dry fire thier crap for people with more money than brians the x-cals are the best and are made 45 mins from where I am but if you like compound limbs you go horton check out the horton vision thier wild. tacomas are shit. an x-cal will be the last bow you buy. get a cocking aid so you can unload without shooting xcal and horton make em.

  • @chanderson1 Do you have to have a lenience? :/

  • @chanderson1 Please describe the issues you encountered with the Barnett bows. Barnett was the first choice on my list of bow manufacturers. Thanks.

  • @SgtKimo09 I don't know about crossbows much but there is a new one that fits onto an ar lower.

  • your skin will only tend out if you never do some hard work lmao i can shoot that with my bare hands for sure

  • @PERGJAKSI I think you can find this crossbow for about $300-400 dollars

  • @chanderson1 Please tell me where...it's round $600 everywhere i looked and well worth it..

  • @3255959 look on ebay

  • so can you attack explosive tips...?

  • @Idioluck are you stupid? you should say ATTACK WITH EXPLOSIVE TIPS

  • Greets from Austria, good demostration! This is an absolute killer xbow, shot's through a wildhog like a sheet of paper! A silent killer!

  • @atwtubeburns Its a very cool tool. I've not hunt with it yet, but looking forward to it this season. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

  • Yeah ,Indiana lets you shoot deer now........can`t wait for all the accidents.

  • can it go through a tank?

  • Thanks, great video, especially about the cocking advice. Thanks

  • @bebka80 yeah, most people think that its easy to cock one of these, but after a few shots the skin on your fingers tend to wear out. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment man!

  • i do have a standard £100 crossbow with skeleton stock, its 150 lbs draw weight. What would be the hitting power in lbs, any info would be of help, thanks

  • how often do you have to change the strings or do you have to at all

  • @elle1881 Really depends on how much you shoot it, but eventually you do have to change the strings when you start seeing frays or broken strands.

  • shoot that thing man

  • es hermosa tu ballesta en verdad...

  • @1940ghost1945 Muchas gracias. Gracias por el comentario.

  • love it

  • Dear santa....

  • @outrunner13 yup

  • hey could a 13 year old cock this back

  • @yankees3444 just depends on how strong they are. The draw weight is about 75 pounds.

  • @chanderson1 i can bench press 100 idk if thats any good for cocking crossbows

  • @chanderson1 the draw weight on this machine is 175 pounds not 75

  • @elle1881 Yes, your correct. Thanks for correcting my mistake. I dont know what I was typing there, but thanks for taking the time. Appreciate you watching!

  • how old do you have to be to own a crossbow and do you need any courses??? in canada. plzzzz reply!!!

  • @XxXHuntress Hello, here in FL there is no age limit to own one. Also there is no special classes or license needed. I know some states may differ in that you must be at least 18 years of age to own one.

  • @chanderson1 ok thanks!

  • @chanderson1 hey again! im just wondering if you have to register a crossbow cuz im 14 and im gonna get a barnett wildcat c5 to kill coyotes in canada saskatchewan.

and is there like insurence?? do u have to pay every month or so for insurence? plz reply. and thanks for all the info.

  • @XxXHuntress Hey! In my state you do not need to register a crossbow. I'm not sure about any other states. No you dont need any type of insurance at all. Your laws may vary in Canada, so just double check and make sure.

  • @chanderson1 cool, ok thanks!

  • @XxXHuntress Crossbows are legal in Canada and are have similar laws to air guns. Crossbows that can be aimed and fired with one hand and crossbows with an overall length of 500 mm or less are prohibited. You cannot lawfully possess or acquire a prohibited crossbow. Otherwise, they are legal and do not require a license. Crossbows are legal for hunting with only during muzzleloader season in Saskatchewan. And you have to get a hunting license to hunt.

  • @XxXHuntress In canada ... thats legal any age.. anyone can own 1.. You don't have to take anything to get one.. in Canada..

  • @haha48 ok thanks!

  • @haha48 pfft damn candians and their unsafe forest/rural areas..

  • @xxdisastersaucexx :p and lots of them..

  • remember to wax the string every 5-6 shots and with a dry fire it can cause limb damage also .and chanderson 1 you make a fine vid keep up the good job

  • @outrunner13 Thank you sir!

  • one word: cool!

  • What archery equipment do you know that you are able to dry fire? haha douche

  • @7212rob barnett trident, you can fire them all day long without issues

  • I got the penatrator. Shot 11 times and blew up! FK Barnett!

  • @gwarchic I've had a few problems with mine lately. I think that the QC at Barnett has been pretty poor. The quality doesnt seem to be there anymore.

  • @chanderson1 not when you have young kids as qc they need to get the 1 that been there awhile

  • @gwarchic what blow up on it did the string break or what

  • Yep, it's not a pistol, or a rifle, OR a crossbow. This thing is so big and heavy, it would make a better anchor for a tuna boat.

  • @WSGAC It is quite heavy. I prefer the Penetrator model. Its got the wildcat body, which is much lighter than the predator.

  • can you tell me how to shoot it down hill at a deer do u am high low or dead on?

  • can you tell me how do you soot it down hill like in a valley at a deer do u am high or low or dead on?

  • are crossbows allowed like hunt rifles? or there same as police weapons? i mean can hunters have it legally?

  • @hwoarang01 The majority of the states will allow anyone to own one. Some states now allow crossbows to hunt in archery season.

  • i went with the excalibur equinox because i wanted to keep it simple, no cams. and yes they are allot of fun to shoot.

  • I think everyone that enjoys weapons of any kind has always wanted, or has, a crossbow. There's just something wicked about it. Perhaps I watched Road Warrior a few too many times as a child? Being able to shoot quietly and re-use the arrows is not only good for financial and entertainment reasons, but could also be beneficial if the world comes to an end. Very cool.

  • @wcropp1 Sucks you can't hunt more places with them though, never really thought about that too much. Hopefully they'll catch on and the laws will change. Compound bows are cool, but not as cool as a crossbow!

  • @wcropp1 My thoughts exactly! I have really enjoyed the crossbow and it is something I can easily shoot in my backyard

  • I just bought one of these the other day. I'm shooting a good group at 25 yards, however I'm about 2 inches to the right and an inch high. I have the 4x32 reticle scope, and have adjusted it all the way I can, and am still shooting to the right. When I picked it up at the archery shop, the owner said it was dead on, and I'm sure it is. Is it me, or is it something else? Thanks, and great video!

  • @Tommiebeebe check the scope rail. make sure it is not loose. It is attached to the trigger hood and you may be able to physically move it. If it is shooting consistenly off target you may want to have your bow shop take a look at the timing.

  • Nice, but what's the price?

  • @ThLautenbag They vary quite a bit depending on where you purchase them and what type of package you get. They can range from $400 for the basic package to $750 with all the bells and whistles.

  • @chanderson1 Okay, thanks. What did you pay for it? Is that scop included?

  • @ThLautenbag Hi, the scope was included in the package along with arrows and the rope cocking device and quiver. I paid roughly $500

  • looks menacing... i like it

  • I got one of those.

First time I drew the bow the rope on the back slipped off and took the scope right off and it smashed and broke on the floor!

Not reliable for cocking with the rope...

The penetration is more powerful than most guns.

  • I would appreciate video on ware and tear and maintenance short and long term and the associated costs.

How much will cost me per year to have crossbow as a hobby.

  • real nice, it should shoot a bolt through a car quite nicely.

  • @whylie74 Hahaha...These are awesome crossbows and the speed is incredible.

  • Comment removed

  • @chanderson1 I have seen it done.

  • awesome cant wait for the vid

  • I bet that thing is just a riot to shoot. Looks fun chanderson.

  • @Cr0cket20 Me and my brother had a blast shooting it. The great thing is it didnt even bother his neighbors. Appreciate the comment!

  • Nice, I really like it

  • @paperas24 Thanks man! So far its been really fun to shoot. Just a new skill to learn. Appreciate the comment!

  • Ultra cool. How much for the total package? Where does it fall in the range of bows?

Looks like a lot of fun!

  • @Lars191145 It depends on the location, but you can find these for anywhere between $650-$800. I was shooting this at my brothers at 50yds and we were hitting a 8" target consistently. We moved out to around 80yds and was still repeatedly hitting the 8" target.

  • Where I am from in Canada you don't need a firearms licence or registration for the crossbow. It can be used to hunt during archery season. That bow looks like a lot of fun, I'm going to see if any stores around me have any

  • @andrewdoyle88 Thats great! I know that many european countries that ban firearms, will still allow you to own a crossbow. The Barnett Predator is a very solid feeling crossbow. Although I think its a little front heavy, it still is a good performer. Good luck on your search.

  • i bet thats a blast to shoot and a good vampire slayer lol

  • @jtmoney606 Hahaha, yeah man it is so much fun to shoot and you dont bother the neighbors.

  • Where I live you can own one, but you cannot use it to hunt with only for target shooting.

  • @biguy525 I think about 7 states now allow hunting with crossbows. The majority of them you can use during archery season.

  • it looks cool man

  • @FABAIN50CAL Yeah, just something wanted to do something a little different from guns.

  • really like the camo look.very nice chanderson.5/5 bro.

  • @jrcr500 Yeah, most of Barnett's crossbows are camo except for the black wildcat C5 and a few kid bows. Thanks for the comment.

  • If they are as fun as a bow to shoot then I know you are having a blast with it!!! Makes me wanna get get back into archery. 5 *****

  • @tswilborn I've had the traditional compound bows and this crossbow is much more fun to shoot and easy to transition to since the stock is very similar to a rifle stock. I was exremely suprised at how accurate and consistant this bow shoots. I like it so much that I am thinking of getting another. Thanks for the comment.

  • I have always wanted one of these... Great vid...

    Thanks!

  • @naik3002 Thanks, glad you liked it!

  • Very cool. I have always thought crossbows were pretty neat. Thanks for sharing!

  • @edgedweapon88 Thanks! Just thought it would be different to do a video on crossbows and see how many people are interested in it. Appreciate the comment!

  • Chewbacca had an X-bow that shot lasers, ....but I trust your opinions more than a Wookie with a Star Trek tatoo.

How quiet is it at 25-50yds? Ninja quiet?

  • Star Trek tattoo?, how dare you sir

  • @heavensarmory Extremely quiet. The only noise you really hear is the arrow impacting the target. So I would say its very ninja quiet.

  • These things are great! I see alot of people using these now! Really nice!!

  • @lookin4memarbles They are getting very popular now that a few states allow them for hunting.
