Actually, I was referring to the procedure itself as opposed to the endoscope. At mark 1:30 Dr. Schwartz says, "We've developed, here at NY Presbyterian hospital, a way to go in through the nose and to take out brain tumors." Actually, this procedure was invented by Dr. Gerard Guiot in the late 1970's. I am sure Dr. Schwartz has continued his own perfection of the procedure but just seems to me that the video is just a little misleading.
@wbumpus111 Endoscopes are widely used in surgical procedures. Dr. Schwartz did not invent the endoscope nor is he the only surgeon using the device. He has been, however, influential in developing and expanding its use in removing brain tumors - specifically, tumors in the pituitary gland.

This doctor makes it seem as though they invented this procedure. Pretty sure they did not. Glad it worked out though.
