  • Please always list the composer and author of all songs!

This is by the great IRVING BERLIN!

  • my mother worked for bert hirsch and knew frank munn. i met age 5 in 1950 with my mother and father in the street in manhattan. he was very jovial friendly. he had great voice. he was originally auto mechanic who discovered fixing a car according to my late mother. great arrangement minor key. probably mr. hirsh playing the violin. great**********ROGHARM

  • Munn does a great job on this song though. Great straightforward Haring arrangement. Munn had a "radio-rivalry" w/James Melton. from accounts Munn chould have cared less it was more on Melton. Drove Melton "Nuts" though because of Munn's non-chalance about the matter. Frank Munn retired to his home on Long Island, he passed away in 1953 while watching the World series on Television.

  • Vocal is by Frank Munn aka Paul Oliver. Roy Schmeck on Hawaiian Guitar.

  • From the number of Haring recordings I posted, you'll have understood he was one of my favorite bandleaders. However, on this one I have the same preference you have for Franklyn Baur's version. Anyhow, I'm thrilled to hear yet another great rendition. Thanks once more for sharing.
