Ok, so just to prove how big of a nerd I am, I totally over-thought this and came out with a good theory on this: The physical robot "brain" is defective. So it would be like any other brain injury where judgment would be impaired. The robot didn't exactly work great before...I can't believe I just rationalized this. This is stuff that made all of Beast Machines make perfect sense.
