  • This song was made the same year I was born.

  • To all of those boy who dislike this song,The dislike bar is the size of ur dick ;]

  • For any cricket fans who like country music, I attempted putting the 2 together to create this conversation between 2 cricketers:

You've got to know what’s the doosra

    Know what’s the slider

    Know when to slog sweep

    Know when to run

    You never check your average

When you're out there in the middle

There'll be time enough for sledging

    When the series is won

  • Wise words.

  • I heard this in a DVD called DDS and It's quickly becoming my favourite song even though I'm not into country music. Deep as shit :)

  • I guess 24 people just didn't walk away.....Shame

  • I remember driving with my dad in the car and listening to this on the radio, and he would nod throughout the song and say "That's Right". He thought this was the deepest song ever made.

  • yep, know a little about this song .lol

  • Not about gambling. about life.

Gotta play the hand you're dealt, but sometimes even the worst hand can win if you play it right.

Also, don't worry too hard about how you're doing (don't count your money) while you're still living, because you never know when things will change completely.

And of course, you have to realize there's a time to hold on to what is important, and a time to let go of something that's ultimately going to end up screwing you over.

  • @caliburngreywofl could not put it better myself

  • @caliburngreywofl Well put, sir!

  • @caliburngreywofl

  • if every hand's a winner, why do you have to fold em?

  • @ardalla535 because every hands a loser

  • I tell you what, (you probably hear this a lot on YouTube), yet why can't there be songs such as Kenny Rogers and the First Edition or the likes around now a days. I am 38 this July. I never thought I would say the worlds my parents said when I was into the Shite back in the 90's, yet what in the hell is this shit on the radio today? (And yes there are a HEAPS of great bands around, yet even they have struggled to be still heard (ie Foo's, Nickelback, etc). PEACE... :)

  • Wait, people disliked this video? I couldn't tell because of all the likes.

  • Brilliant song, and Kenny Rogers is Mr. Classy himself!!!

  • It saddens me that, in Country Music, Male Vocalists don't do story songs like they used to. This was a story song that made the grade. Nice job, Kenny!

  • even with women its good advice ... "know when to holdem, when to fold'em know when to walk away..and hell yeah know when to run

  • It good advice in any situation.

  • there are ten people who need to be slapped in a bar on a train bound for no where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
