  • Yes cause of course this horse looks SOOO happy under saddle. They only rack in that weird postion cause it's soo much frekin weight that they have to use all there weight to pull WON leg up! This makes me want to cry. I could never see my horse have that! He's like my a baby just older, and if i used him and he looked like that it'd be soo cruel! No horse should pick there fooot that high. This horse in this video isint even a horse. He's a used one, a slave, an abusive doll as i call it. D:

  • haha yeah, Its not the first time. I love riding built up horses it so much fun! so much elegance and power. This horse lives the best life and doesnt need for anything.

  • wow, people are tearing your ass up for this video!! i'm looking to purchase a two year old padded filly in a couple days... i hope to have her trained this well! GOOD FOR YOU, and ignore people who say bad things about you and your horse!

  • What kind of human are you ?

    =(

  • Sorry, this looks distorted and ugly. And I'm not trying to make myself feel good, I'm trying to make your horse feel good.

  • @yoooozer You must want to make yourself feel good for trying to cut down a perfectly happy horse. There are tons of horses that have had pads taken off and quit eating and drinking because they miss their jobs so much. Ignorance is Bliss, and you are quite ignorant and closed minded to say that's ugly and distorted. Your words on a youtube post don't make a happy horse any happier. Just their owners angrier.

  • nice, i like how he keeps his hindquarters tucked under him.

  • Vets who work in the industry say there is nothing wrong with the pads, but those who don't make money off it, say it does harm the animal. Who are you to believe? Since they have proved that high heels cause women long term back, feet, and leg problems, it only stands to reason that these heavy padded shoes do the same to a horse.

  • this horse was started as a late 2 year old showed his 3,4 year old year. i bought him took him off pads finished him out put the pads back on. and he doesnt show any rings from bands.. on a keg shoe he has a normal foot

  • @cowboycrzy2008All you are trying to do is to protect your OWN PRIVATE, PERSONAL, ENTERTEINMENT. Horse is your object, and your slave, so you think to do whatever YOU wish to. You know that your horse is already maimed, and seriously. You know it. But your feeling of PLEASURE and self-affirmation for horse's account is "scretching" you far too much to admit your obvious guilt and CRIMINAL cruelty to a living animal.

  • The pads alone cause pain and damage. The hoof is cut at a low angle to apply a band to hold the pad on. The band causes stress rings and can dish the foot. Because of the angles the horse is shod it reduces blood flow to certain areas of the foot thus making it prone to laminitis. The pad traps moisture between the foot and pad making them prone to bacterial infections and abscess. Repetitve concussion and tearing of lamina from severe toe elongation and imbalnce also can cause laminitis....

  • Although a padded horse may not be sored, they are still the most hideous looking animals in the world with that huge crap on their hooves!

  • @fandazz thank you i agree as i said before my mom (a vet) has had to personally put down alot 49 -57 walkers because of what this 'industry' has done to them to try and make them pretty and elegant. but i for one along with alot of my friends (and obviously you) think that crulety aside this just makes the horses look hideous and unnatural and from my point of veiw its like watching pamala anderson or cherr or even paris hilton walk around in their skank outfits thinking that their hot as hell

  • this horse is nice. i can tell by looking hes not sore going. id like to have him i bet hed make a good plantation horse

  • you know i read an article from a vet and he said that he has never treated a padded horse for leg injurys and compairing jumpers or dressage horses to padded horses it said jumpers and reining horses are always coming up lame. Its all rubber if you think about it its like a big horsey tennis shoe but other than that i really dont care what you think about it my horse is happy and heathy and 100 percent leg sound.

  • @cowboycrzy2008 not being mean here but it has been proven that going bare foot is better than wearing tennis shoes. so that might not be the best analogy for it. and if your horse is happy and healthy at 100% then thats great but i will warn you my mother (a vet) has personally had to put down around 49 to 57 walkers because their owner/s didn't take the time to check their feet or just didn't care or would force the feet to idiotic angles so that their 'big flick' was even bigger.hope you dont

  • no .. your a dumb ass to think it does ...

  • @wrxhenry I don't consider it abusive unless they are sored.

  • (this is Sam Davis as a PS to you, so you know) You should get the name, since I have Jake :p

  • I know this horse and this rider, she would never sore a horse, and this horse shows flat shod fine too. I don't like padded horses either, but she's a good rider and good horse person.

  • /watch?v=Ce_Xhnr0FTs

  • I think he is a nice mover and looks good on pads. I personally think western pleasure is ugly, its unnatural for a horse to walk, trot and lope the same speed they look drugged, oh and jumpers, hm ,last I checked wild horses dont jump 6 foot fences so their hocks can get injected weekly, and I could go on all day, so to all you hypocrits, shut up and mind your own business. Walking horses are treated just fine, mine are all fat and happy and work maybe 14 hrs a week, I wish I was that lucky!

  • copy, paste, post again .. wow you dont have anything new to say .. and fyi this horse isnt padded right now ...

  • plus if you would read the headings of my vidoes there is a video of him on a counrty pleasure shoe so im not just pulling shit out my head saying he isnt padded right now to make you guys think he isnt on pads and as for the high heel thing pads are nothing like high heels people so some research before you comment there are weight and angle limits on a build up horse

  • You know what there are just as many people out there that like padded horses that dont like them and people who could give a damn less about what i do with my horse. and you know what i love my horse and im very proud of what he is and what he is becoming he is a great show horse.. There are trail horses and horses that love to show he is in the show catagory..he has a job and he knows what it is im sorry that you have to bash other peoples horses to make you feel good...

  • Well cowboycrzy2008, the video shows a horse with pads. What difference does it make if you "say" the horse is not padded? And if you don't want to hear other people's opinions of how horrid it looks to put these big pads on a horse, why did you post it? Pads throw the whole animal out of alignment and they move like a train wreck happening... My opinion.

  • o well you know people its no big deal the horse isnt padded right now so forget it quit arguing about it... im sick of hearing people go back and forth about my horse

  • OK, so let's put 4" high heels on you and see how "comfortable" it is! And what is the big problem with showing a horse without the dam things on it's feet? I don't like to see horses treated this way and I do like to see the TWH with a natural gait and no plastic on it's feet.

  • they arent being treated any different than a flat shod horse . and again when a horse is padded the right way . guess what when the angels combine the horse is setting just as a flat shod horse would on a flat shod shoe . and fyi some horses need the plastic .. i know a mare i have needed them because she was foundered off feed .. she is a brood mare and was never padded .. we just got to get her off them (pads- one plastic pad) when we found someone who could do a mustang roll on her hoofs ..

  • typo - angles ...

  • either way .. im through arguing with a child -YOU this morning .. since it is morning .. and well its almost time to head to the barn and start the day ...

  • wrxhenry, I have a right to my opinion and I am not bashing the horse. But I see you haven't gotten that yet. I feel sorry for the horse to have such owners that feel the need to put chains and pads on their horse instead of letting people see what the horse can really do.

  • see theres were we are disagreeing .. you are saying that this horse isnt getting treated good .. when i know for a fact this horse is treated great .. and well he isnt padded at all right now .. and when you say the horses look like a train wreak and ect, you are bashing the horse . and the training methods have came a long way from where they use to be, the chains are light - 6 ozs less than a coke can and the pads arent that heavy at all.

  • and the plastic pads are the same pads that allow some horses to have a normal life when used .. since many horses use the same pad and wedge for hoof problems ..

  • wrxhenry, the title says "Red PADDED horse". That is what we see and that is what we are commenting on. We are not bashing a horse breed, we are stating that we are against owners that obtain this exagerated gait from their horses by mechanical or chemical means.

  • wtf .. you go by a title ... and you are bashing this horse .. by saying degrading things about this horse being on pads .. and i know for a fact the owner of this horse does not use chemical means on his horses .. and well chains and pads are legal per the USDA ... and if you dont like it why watch it .. and then why leave such shitty rude ass comments .. if i dont like something i dont watch it .. and well i sure in the hell dont comment on it ..

  • also its funny you just joined youtube on 8-16-2008 and the first thing you do is come straight to these videos and bash ...

  • AND I HOPE ALL YOU THAT ARE BASHING THIS GREAT HORSE HAVE COMMON SENSE TO KNOW .. THAT HES NOT EVEN PADDED ANYMORE ... and hes still a great horse !!

  • that last comment is for cowboycrazy

  • These padded horses look like train wrecks! I think equine competition should be like the Olympics - no steroids or drugs, no padding, soring or physical alteration of the horse. The competition should be just a horse simply displaying its training. A TWH is a great horse that doesn't need to be messed with for it to look great. Leave his tail alone and keep that stuff off his feet because I don't want to look at your "things", I want to look at your horse and what it can do.

  • what does horses having to eat and the bible have anything to do with cutting tail and getting a arabian??

  • if you would read all the comments then you would know

  • and horses are not meant to eat It clearly states in the Bible that jesus rode a donkey and will be pulled by white horses when he comes back also it states in the Bible that we shall only eat of the split hoof grazing animals so no horses are not meant to eat

  • it doesnt hurt to cut their tails? would it hurt you if i cut your finger off? do you speak horse?...then dont tell me they dont feel pain. and yes the arabian does have less vertabrae causing them to have shorter backs and higher set tails, do the research.

  • well lets see no it really dont hurt to cut my finger when its numb ...

  • But it certainly will hurt after the novocaine wears off, won't it!!!!

  • you know im so sick of people telling me i dont deserve my horse and im so crule i wish you people would quit commenting mean stuff i dont care what you have to say about my horsee i love him and treat him with respect... your not going to change how i think. so if you have something mean to comment dont comment at all

  • cut, break, set they are all cruel. the tail connects to the spine. dont tell me it causes no discomfort to jerk their tail almost straight up to make it 'pretty'. If you want a horse to have a high tail get an arabian they have less vertabrae and NATURALLY high tails. don take a horse with a low set tail an make it high for looks. if you cant love the animal for what its born wh then you surely dont need it.

  • if you cant be nice why comment on someones video .. and fyi it doesnt hurt the horse to have their tail cut , also the arabian doesnt have a loose back end like a twh .. oh wait they are 2 different breeds all together .. and fyi lets just eat horses since thats what they were put here for .

  • Why don't you donate a piece of your anatomy, your tailbone would work well, and we can "cut" that and see if it hurts! Get real, wrxhenry!

  • whatever .. im gald you think you know so much ..lmao

  • also .. i have had cysts cut off my tail bone .. and was back riding horses the next day .. gee go figure ... i guess it just hurt so bad .. but yet i bet you see nothing wrong with cutting a stud horse do you .. and they dont even use anytype of pain medication ...

  • For one thing they dont break there tail any more your not allowed to do that... And th person who posted about my horse kicking me why dont you watch the videos and read the comments before you post something stupid like saying my horse should kick me

  • you should be happy with your horses NATRUAL gait i ride tennessee walkers and that is so not there gait and you should take those stupid padds off your horses feet if i was your horse id kick u

  • .. his horse isnt padded .. granted he was and he was amazing on pads .. but well he is just as amazing without pads .. he is a true blue great going horse with lots of natural talent !

  • i love walkers in there natural state. and id just like to add that i have not once but TWICE seen walking horses foot rip off during a show because of those pads. yes they make the horse have a action nice for us to look at. but i just dont like it. its kinda like putting heavy platforms on our feet and making us jog. and breaking ANY horses tail is wrong i dont care what the breed is. why cant ppl just love them and use them the way they are? no, we have to change them for who? us.

  • o ok never mind that last comment i didnt read all the ones that you posted :)

  • they cut saddlebreds tails to... are you saying that you dont care they cut tails or what cause your comment really doesnt make sents

  • flyingbullfrog, big lick is NOT another trend that will "pass"! It's been here for years!! Hello? I'm a Morgan, Arabia, ASB AND a TWH rider/owner! stfu! Cowbycrazy, that is a beautfiul horse!

  • in this video he isnt doing much cause this is like the 3rd day we worked him after getting a new package on him set up a little different... plus i dont know why you guys are still making a big deal about this video this horse is a country pleasure horse right now getting ready to go plantation or something..

  • yes everyone is still making a big deal about this horse .. because in the video he is padded ... and well i think he looks great on or off pads ...

  • i wasnt sayin sore him i was just sayin he could do better. i was raised around padded horses but i profer plesure horses. i have a 4 year old that is one of my trail horses that is for sale. Go to (joey and Max horse) to see him.

  • Rather then telling people how stupid and ignorant they are why don't you try to help them understand the TWH breed and why they are padded. I do not agree with padding horses just to exaggerate their movements. I personally believe in natural balance hoof care. NB horses move the way they are supposed to gaited or not. Padding is not natural and I cant figure out where you keep get this idea. Big licks are just another equine trend that will pass. TWH are a wonderful breed without the pads.

  • why should i ...?? i have tried to explain the breed but yall folks that have a one track mind and only think a certain way ..... the twh isnt the only breed to use pads , chains , or other action devices but we are the only ones hounded about it by people that have no clue about the breed most of the time .. even when the USDA says the pads and chains are fine to use because of studys that they have done .

  • hes got an ok frontend but he needs to reech under with his back more. put a set of log chains on his backend and hill use it more

  • this horse is amazing as a padded horse and as a flat shod horse ...

  • poor abused ridiculous looking horse

  • Thank you Shellmadde

  • yeah thanks shellmadde. this is disgusting. How would you like someone to put chemicals on you to walk a different way. Or give you ridiculous padding. thats terrible i cant believe anyone would treat their horse that way. its such a forced gait. is that how they walk as a foal? stepping in such a forced gait? i dont think so.

  • god are you that stupid that you think everyone does this... gee i guess so .. NOT EVERYONE SORES THEIR HORSES... AND THE PADS THAT THEY WEAR ARE LEGAL AS WELL AS THE 6 OZ CHAIN oh and by the way , there is a video up of this same horse flat shod ... so learn about the breed before you say stupid shit .

  • ONE more comment for you defenders of soring the TWH....why dont you tell us more about how the tail ligament is CUT on the underside, and braced upward for the shows? How they cant even swat a friggin fly??? What is your defense of that oh reverend ones, the defenders of soring?? Fly sheets????

  • actually its makes the tail a better fly swat .. and it frees up the back end of the horse ... my 29 yr old retired twh has no problems swating flys ....

  • hmm let's see, most of those horses are kept in million dollar stables that have fly gaurds. They CAN swat flies, and tail sets are only on before shoews. any other time they can. there's also things call FLY SPRAY! Their tails are like tatoos. We are not DEFENDERS of soring horses. The MAJORITY of the TWH world don't show big lick, it is a very small percantage. Then, it is a even smaller percentage of people that sore or cut tails.

  • I show TWH but not at Celebration, so my walker's tail is not set. I am too busy showing at WORLD'S on Saddlebreds. Why don't you DOG them, because they will be on YOUR ASSS like FLIES ON HORSE SHIT!

  • If pads are NOT a bad thing why in the shows can the TWH canter only a few seconds? Why do they actually FALL OVER in shows??? I have video of TWH falling down because of the pads, tripping, you name it....it DOES affect them, they have to work harder with them, it hard on their shoulders, causes stress on joints and ligaments. It's only a matter of time before pads are banned,,,and hopefully ALL the BIG LICK shows. I see how few attend anyway by looking in the background of show videos.

  • if pads are banded it will affect more than just the twh breed ... and i have never seen a horse "FALL" like you state .. granted i have seen them stumble just as a trail pleasure horse stumbles .

  • yes! i have a TWH for trail BAREFOOT and always HAVE BEEn and he will stumble simply because of his overstride of his NATURAL gait!

  • The people who defend padding these horses are dangerous people-CNN did an article on the trainers and owners and what is REALLY done behind the scenes to these poor horses.

Chains, mustard oil saran wrap. also just because your horse passed 2 USDA inspections doesnt mean it's not sored.the poor horses are trained NOT to jump away or show distress when the inspectors prod their fetlocks....they are beaten if they draw away. USDA inspectors "are like the fox guarding the chicken house"..per CNN.

  • that was done back in the 80's and well now less than 2% of trainers train that way ... but please feel free to jump on the band wagon of having no clue about the breed other then waht you google on the internet .

  • hey girl- its emelie....Rockett looks amazing...i took a double take when i was browsing vidoes i was like Ozones Copy...THATS ROCKETT!!!! LOL....You're amazing girl...good luck in school!

  • I would also like to point out that if you study the biomechanics of advanced collection there are strict rules to adhere to as to the angle of the joints and the position of the legs under the horse. There has been intensive study to support these rules and very god reasons as to why they are there. These horses are always seriously overloaded in the rear and there is no period of suspension to allow the muscles to unload.

  • Yes, you're absolutely right. Any change to the natural angle of the hoof does serious damage to the hoof and joints. This is a rule for farriers and for vets as any slight deviation causes serious stress.

  • My vet says that padding changes the angle of the foot and causes damage to tendons and joints in the leg. My farrier says that he would never shoe a padded horse after seeing what their hooves look like. I don't even like my horse's toe getting long because I worry about the angles changing in his leg.

  • none of my padded horse have been lame when i have retired them .. my oldest being 29 yrs old .. shoot the kids still get him out and ride him in the yard with a halter .... and i didnt know that SMART people have to use such foul words ... but again what can you expect from someone who doesnt know jack about jack ...

  • shirehorse, I like the way you think. Wait till they try and defend it, more comments that want make reason as to what they are doing to these horses.

  • Clem and Bubba don't seem to realize that a horse doesn't have to be permanently lame to be in pain. The amount of stress those joints are going through is unacceptable. Like the way you think as well!

  • If these horses are fine then take on out working cattle or go on a trail ride. You can can you do due the pads on the horses. Thats the whole point, its not right and you cant make it sound right. Hell I dont even shoe my horses. Pls dont use the well no one is 100% natural line, as what you do is so far from natural its amazing.

  • These horses wouldn't be able to function in any form of work. More big lick whores and their brainless excuses.

  • No, Fugly doesn't bash a horse because they are fugly. Fugly bashes the people that make them that way. A blue eyed horse isn't bad, but if that is the only good thing about your stallion then you might make Fugly. TWH's made Fugly because of poor training practices. Go to the blog and defend yourself if you are right. Present the scientific evidence that what your doing isn't harming your horses. I'd listen to that. So far all the farriers and vets I've spoken to have nothing good to say.

  • What have the vets and farriers said about padding?

  • vets have said for years now the pads DO NOT HARM the horse ... if they did then other breeds wouldnt also use them ...

  • also the usda isnt trying to get rid of the PADS .. they are trying to get rid of the soring that a few not so bright trainers do .. fyi NOT ALL TRAINERS ARE THE SAME IN THE WAY THEY TRAIN .

  • You should go to the Fugly Horse of the Day blog where this topic is being discussed.

  • then go ... i have no use for people who bash horses because their eyes are blue or because of the way a horse is shaped .. nor any of the other stupid crap that they stupidly discuss ...

  • you know what there not trying to stop people from pading there horses up there trying to stop the pactice of soring on padded horses there is nothing wrong with putting a pad on a horse

  • Slander hey, what a laugh! Post something as shocking as this horse on the world wide web and you have to expect back lash. Its shocking watching this horse move. Please feel free to try and sue me for slander, ha!

  • do you really think someone would put a video up if they were harming their horse ...uh no , but you have trolls like yourself that google stuff on the computer and feel as though you are god and know it all ... And then feel the need to slander people that arent harming their horse at all .. but if google says it .. it must be true ...lmao

  • Sick, just plain sick. DOnt even try to tell me its natural and that the horse is fine. If it was the gov wouldnt be cracking down on it so hard now.

  • the goverment cracks down on alot of things ... but yet they still let people on the internet slander others .

  • lynzjo25 if your a registered VT and cannot see the damage (honestly compare a padded horse to never padded) I would want you no where near my animals. I'm in school for Veterinary Technology and this is CRAP.

If you need to use such training to make your horse gait in such unnatural movements, then your not much of a rider/trainer. This kind of treatment is not neccessary to gain this movement. Its a very cruel quick fix. This is in no way natural to the horse.

  • PADS dont harm the horse if they are shod correctly ... and they arent a quick fix .. the horse must still be rode everyday ... and its not an unnatural movement for the twh .. so unless you know every fact about the twh because you have been around them for years dont preach what you dont know .

  • okay i am a vet tech and this is not cruelty to animals ive showed like this for a long time and if you know what your doin it doesnt bother the horse at all and i love your horse its amazing youve probably worked real hard on it...keep up the good work

  • Its not funny that the horse is no longer padded, its a releif. I can only hope its true.

    Foul practice by foul people.

Taken care of. My God, Id hate to see what you people call cruelty O.o !!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, dont try and condone one cruelty by comparing it to another. Cruelty is cruelty, and premeditated suffering like what this horse is suffering is by far the worst.

  • the horse is taking a break .. im sure he will be on pads again ..and these horses do not suffer ...maybe were ever you come from they do ... but the only way a padded horse suffers .. or heck even a flat shod horse is if they are being sored .. which due to laws.. trainers arent doing it anymore .. the pads do not hurt the horse .. they are no different than a heavy shoe on a flat shod horse .. and to me a healthy horse getting its head chopped off is more cruel than a horse wearing pads ..

  • again I lol, you just keep digging your grave deeper dont you?

  • lets see first off you slander me by saying i mistreat my horses, no we walking horse people dont hurt are horses ... yeah the grave was dug by people like you ... why not worry about horses going to slaughter .. since most horse owners cant even get enough hay to feed their animals .. atleast these horses are taken care of

  • and you know the funny thing is .. this horse in this video ... well he isnt even padded anymore ... but yet you still want to bash people and a breed you know nothing about .

  • LMAO, you really are deranged. And I am not bashing the TWH breed, you sad individual, I am attacking the dispicable practices some people like yourself force upon the animals.

You are doing a fantastic job at showing up yourself and the other sickos who advocate this cruelty.

  • i dont hurt my horses ... and you have no clue about the breed or us owners ...you are a "sad" individual .. and please tell me what is so cruel .. the twh isnt the only horse to use pads and other action devices .. you do know that dont you .. great vet ..

  • Moron. As you obviously are illiterate as well as an advocate of animal cruelty, here is a definition of "creature"

    Creature...

animal: a living organism characterized by voluntary movement

  • wow .. you are such an adult .. please bash away .. atleat i dont name call like im in high school .. and my horses arent treated bad at all .. i have 6 and they are all just fine .. and i love how you know so much about me .. i just wish you knew about the twh breed ...

  • lmao, shame you didnt have the brains to look up the definition of the word before trying to lecture me on correct animal husbandry!

I am a professional in the veterinary field, and I would venture a bloody sight more savvy in this area than you with your perchant for cruelty.

  • oh funny to me you posted the definition straight from a sight instead of just telling me in your on words ..so waaaa waaaa waaaa

  • oh .. and my plan is working .. you are now bashing me instead of the breed ... lmao, so ill act as dumb as need be ..

  • oh and here is another definition of ..

creature - a person who is controlled by others and is used to perform unpleasant or dishonest tasks for someone else

  • love, seriously. You have gone wrong. I mean it. Not only are you an advocate of animal cruelty and suffering, but you are clearly deranged.

Prehaps you should indulge in a little therapy? It would certainly serve all animals well if you had a little padded cell time seeing as you would be unable to get near the poor things!

  • blah blah blah .. is what i see when you post comments .. and since you know so much much about me please tell me more about myself .. since you know nothing about the twh breed ..

  • wow, are you sayin a horse is not a creature? Wow, you need to go back to science class henry. mary m1911 you are soooo right its rediculous. thank you for posting the comment

  • sorry for you but hes not a poor poor creature like someone stated .. and last time i checked .. he was a horse .. to me a creature is something small not large ..

  • no they dont convict people for having padded horses they get people for the soring in walking horses

  • If it wasn't cruel, then the Humane Society woudn't be offering a 10,0000.00 reward for information leading to a conviction for anyone caught doing this. It is an ILLEGAL PRACTICE!

  • this horse isnt even on pads anymore .. and he still looks great ...

  • You have to understand that these people know what it takes to cover up what they've done. Unfortunately they will never see the error of their ways. It's ingrained into them. These BIG Lick morons need to realize that by posting their vid's they are giving us ammo. I can only hope that one day their past horses get to treat them the same way in that big pasture in the sky. My horses an I will watch and laugh.

  • If you are trying to emphasize that these horses die from showing them, you are wrong..VERY wrong! We own a mare that won the 2 and 3 yr old WGC and 4 yr old RWGC way back. She is now almost 20 and is out in the field...They actually live very long lives! Stop making statements that are VERY wrong! It is getting annoying have to correct you..

  • When did I emply death. Hmm, I did as some point emply pastern laxity. You may 'correct me' all you like. If I annoy you, GREAT! I wonder if I can be as annoying as chains and pads?

  • giving people like you ammo with their videos.. no they are trying to share their great horses with family and friends that enojy and share the same love for the horse as they do .. i just wish some people had respect for others ... but well people like you dont .. only childish people bash other people and their videos and their horses

  • Poor poor creature. Disgusting.

  • for one .. he isnt a creature .. hes a horse .. and for two the onwer has another video up where he isnt padded .. so dont bash .. till you know .. and if anything he is a great horse padded or not ..

  • entire body weight..Being a much less percentage than a shoe is on our feet. Good god, bashing padded TWH has really gotten old now..Yall should just give up, really. Youre not changing a damn thing. All your doing is sitting on your lazy a** and posting on a freaking Youtube video.

  • Mary, overlook these reporbates who bash you and your horse with their myths and crap they have read from a website somewhere. The truth be told, the same people bashing people for riding a padded walking horse see nothing wrong with a woman murdering her unborn child. These peopel that attack you are mental midgets, with no common sense or natural affection. The Bible calls them reprobates.

  • Don't you think there is a reason that info makes it to websites? So anyone that disgrees with you is a 'mental midget'? How about a person who puts absolutely no thought into what their doing, and puts blinders on themselves? You are not a horseperson. I HAVE gaited horses. Keep pretending nothings wrong, that is in fact what 'mental midgets do'

  • I can show you a website with pictures and proof we didnt go to the moon...Would you believe that as well??

Keepposting your lies and propaganda...I am sure you are a Obama supporter and pro Abortion as well..ignorance seems to run in 3's

  • Okay, we definitely dont chop their hair off..The tail is just braided and put in a wrap so they won't step on it and the braids keep it from matting. It also keeps the tail from getting all the shavings in it whenever they are in their stall--less tangles. The pads are approx 0.33% of their (continued)

  • Again, size has nothing to do with it. Otherwise they wouldn't have any affect on the horse, correct. As for stalling, do YOU want to sit in your bedroom all show season long?

  • They don't stay in their stall all day! They get exercise every single day...And baths, their mane and tail shampooed combed and braided..They are treated with the utmost care. I should know more than you, I OWN many, unlike you.

  • HaHaHa! No honey, I'm not some teenage kid that comes on and blurts comments that don't make sense on a subject they know nothing about. ;) That's the funny part. I've had walkers and other gaited horses since I was 14. So unfortunately you're WRONG AGAIN! My horses get ACTUAL 24/hr. turnout. Bathing your horses and walking them in circles doesn't count dear. ;/

  • gee thats funny .. at my barn we always turned our padded horses out during the day for a few hours .. they have their own lots that are connected to their stall .. then of course they are bathed daily , trimed every other day , ridden every day and put on their walker every day unless we have walkers that day then they are walked outside by the kids ..and well this is done all show season .

  • DO YOU GUYS NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THIS HORSE IS NOT ON PADS NOW WHY DONT YOU GO LOOK AT HIS OTHER VIDEO!! your making a big deal out of it hes not on pads

  • and he looks great off pads also !

  • BTW Hollycgate, People leave the shows when they know the govie inspectors are there. But go ahead in your delusional world where it's all rosy and the horses are happy and not in pain--you've got plenty of company!

This looks like an awesome horse--or would be without pads.

  • wow .. maybe the shows you go to but well now days people dont leave because.... the horses arent sored

  • So I guess things have changed 180 degrees since 5 of 8 horses were disqualified from the WGC in 2006? Or was the USDA wrong about those horses? Which is it, wrxhenry?

  • i said the shows you go to they may leave ... not the shows i go to and well i havent been to the world show in about 8 yrs since i retired my horse at age 20 , and he was never sored . neither were the other 50 some horses at the barn ...

  • i think the horse looks great .. and well ive showed many ..

  • you know you guys are never going to change the walking horse industry so i dont know why your wasting your time on one video if you want to make a change or at least try why dont you go to show and try to make a difference there. There are to many walking horse fans in this world to let a couple of tree hugging go natrual or go home people, to stop the showing of padded horses.

  • POOR horse. you should be ashamed. if you support that you have no talent as a rider.

  • The slouching's pretty painful to look at. Straighten your back, roll back your shoulders.

  • I would love to come back as one of my walkers!!! They are spoiled ROTTEN! Thanks for wishing that Bonnerific! BTW my padded horses DO get turned out in a smaller pasture, and it has grass! And my walkers have a broken bit with a 4-8 inch shank, so you really need to learn about walkers before you try to critisize people for doing what they love, and i am VERY sure my horse is happy, and healthy, as of many walkers that are built up in this world!

  • OK for all you ANTI-PADDED horse people i have a video uploaded of rocket on a country pleasure shoe!!!! he has been off pads for a while now and we are slowly building him back up

  • ok for one think horse isnt on pads any more he has the winter off and how do you know he stands in a stall all day you have no idea what goes on in my barn

  • Boy, don't you know this horse just loves to stand all cramped up in his little stall with his built up feet, knowing he can never be turned out to graze and play in the field, but have some curb hardware shoved in his mouth and a moron sitting on his kidneys for 30 minutes a day?

Why do you think these riders take so much time when reversing in a class? To give their horses a chance to BREATHE because they're exhausted. May all of you who condone this, come back as a TWH in your next life.

  • thank you finally someone with some scents this horse get rode about an hour and a half everyday he dosnt get fixed he has all the action and back end from many many wet saddle pads

  • Why do ya'll have to be so negative? I think all you anti-padded people should get a life, stop watching the big licks and go play with your flat shod horses since you think its so cruel to do it. Just because a horse is padded doesn't mean its been sored! I own walkers and I NEER sore. Its called many hours of hard work and patience! If it was so "cruel" it wouldn't be legal to do it anyways. All I can say is get over it!

  • We are negative because we are right. And if I was involved in a discipline that most people hated, I'd pretty much come to my senses.

  • Also as much as you gripe and complain, you are not going to change the minds of die hard walking fans. We have govt inspectors that inspect these horses before they show. So if you think the gov't is missing tortured animals, then point your finger at the gov't as well. Otherwise, we will always agree to disagree. We love our Walkers, and you disagree with it. Nothing new.

  • By the way tracerace, your horses are very pretty even if we dont' agree on Walkers. I love all breeds and your video is cute!

  • Thanks :)

  • whats that sopposts to mean learn how to ride

  • learn how to ride

  • My horse is not sore he can hit a lick like hes doing in this video and he has 2 wedges and 4 flats on his package on here

  • This gait is natural!! Not all people "sore" their horses, i dont! The pads make the ride smoother and the horse doesnt mind them! I ride my twh mare with them and she loves showing off in front of people! Some people put a special kind of "grease" on the horses pasturn before they put the chains on, the "grease doesnt hurt them, it helps them by not letting the chains rub the hair out. I breed and train the horses so please shut up about the soring! Not all people do it!!!!!

  • true true...my trainer dosnt sore his horses either...people make me mad...PEOPLE LEARN ABOUT THE BREED BEFORE YOU JUDGE THEM...

  • If they got pads its about a 99 % chance they are sore.Horses dont hit that lick naturally no matter how much hard work you put into them !!! Show them natural and without pads and them lets see your horse.

  • what does it have to with your wife or you mother?? i wouldnt do it to my horse but im saying a horse is nothing like your mother or wife?

  • for all you "anti" padded walking horse people i have a new video of rocket he is bare foot that is how he goes in the winter.
