  • I saw this car with huge rims on it today. . .

  • Jaguar is no longer English but Indian, I love my Indian culture and India will soon be the 2nd powerful country in the world

  • just wow!

  • looks like audi

  • wow

  • so beu...

  • Comment removed

  • if you feel sick just search this car on google images...im pretty sure the sight of this specimen will cure most common illnesses.

  • Este é o carro dos meus sonhos, a JAGUAR é simplesmente incrível.

  • @arnair81 well, interior is completely ruined by blue neons which are usually found in 18 years old "tuned up" cars, bmws and other crap

  • they are not neon lights. They are LED, and they are suttle, not Super bright

  • The Blue LED's makes the already modern Jag Interior, even more modern and unlike tuned up ricers with neons, it ain't overdone. Just right and elegant. Everybody(luxury car manufacturers) is doing it.

  • So Gorgeous

  • I cant see any styling clues that tell me its a Jag.

  • @capitalsho i know, isn't it great!!!!!!!!????

  • @capitalsho There are many many cues of a jaguar. This car was based off of the Jaguar XJ6. If you pay attention, you will see that the grille is very simmilar, the long low and wide profile remains, the shaped hood that is always on a Jaguar, The overall shape is simmilar to my XJR, the very small C pillar. It takes a good eye to spot them, but they are there.

  • i really like the way this car looks :)

  • if it werent for those ugly blacked out c pillars.... come on, a supermodel can have one mole, not two.

  • The Austin Princess for the new millennium!

Hmmm, think I'll stick to the old xj.

  • Fantastic, love the front, the interior and the engines BUT without the blacked out rear pillars this would look like a hatch back, the designers obviously couldn't resolve certain issues with the rear end, so sad!

  • Выгладит как дешевая консерва, музыка не совпадает с видео, в общем впечатление испорчено....

  • I can't wait to get this. Have been waiting my whole life.

  • Nice but the rear-end is so bad !!!

  • I THINK THE REAR END IS AMAZING

  • @newyorkcitymayor

Thank you for saying that! at last someone who can spot the most special part of this car right away!

  • I think the rear end looks dis-proportionate.

  • i have some issues with the exterior. I'm not a big fan of the front grill. It looks to pimp for a jaguar. It's too big and also there's a weird line in the back side of the car where the rear window meats the booth (luggage w/e it's call). positive: the interior i love it.

  • @jagiersuarez15 The grille is styled after the XJ6 SIII. And the line in the back, makes it flow. I noticed that too, and was not sure if I liked it or not, but when I saw it in person, it just makes it seamless. It flows in one continuous line, wich is elegant

  • its butt is ugly...

  • volvo grille

  • When you are paying 80000 pounds for a car, I am sure they will put the Kitty on the bonnet.

This thing is so dam nice.

  • Its a 2,000 dollar option im prety sure

  • This is the best looking car in the world

And knowing Jaguar's reputation for luxury (especially ride comfort), I soon think (although i reserve judgement) that this could be the best car in the world

  • i never liked jaguar but ill admit the xf is nice. the xj is pretty good but the tail lights are just sad.

  • Also the IS is ugly.

  • the IS is not ugly...dude c'mon...seriously...

  • 2:58

    SICKNESS

  • a mi me gusta y muuuuucho

  • Do you know what is the good thing?

Is that, no one of the people that made those comments can really buy this jaguar, so enjoy your old cheap cars and say whatever you want about this jag, because you are going to be on your crap for a very long time, and the people that said that they have a jag, and this is not jaguar, i could bet that is REALLY REALLY OLD.

  • Sorry it looks to much like a mondeo was it the same designer.

  • LOL where did you EVER see a mondeo in this car? Not the same designer whatsoever. The designer of this car (Ian Callum) also designs cars for Aston Martin. There is NO influence from the Mondeo. Jaguar is not owned by Ford anymore, not that that was bad anyway, they were still Jaguar, and I feel bad for those so ignorant to think they were Fords

  • Haha sooo true! well spoken

  • It's nice, no doubt, I'm not trying to hate on Jaguar for making a new design or anything. I just don't like the back. And if you read the comments made on this car you will notice most people are commenting on how it is a nice car and everything but the back is ugly.

  • Lol... its still better then the old XJ back

  • new owners trying to SPICE things up

  • that's one beauty. Welldone Jaguar!

  • Just another peace of soap

  • Ok, so you dont think there is ANY style in this car?

  • Calm down, all you grumpy haters. Jaguar did the same thing in '68 with the first XJ, made a totally new car different from the old S-Type. After 41 damn years it's time for a change AGAIN! As a devout Jag fan myself, at least I'M willing to give the new car a chance!

  • Agreed

  • As a XJ owner, if this is the indication of how current and future XJ8s are going to look, I'll just go back and buy an old model XJ or something else entirely. 1) No Kitty. Why did they take the kitty off? 2) This car looks nothing like a Jag. It looks like something hopped over the fence.

  • @tloislane007, they do have the Leaper for the hood. Its an option. In the UK its illegal to have a hood ornament, so they made it an option for the USA. Also, this has alot of Jaguar in it, I dont want to explain all of it AGAIN, just look at my previous comments

  • Remake the E-Type, that's it. Nothing else; like what

Ford just did with the Mustang.

Anyone who thinks this XJ is anything special is just lying to themselves so they don't have to face the grim fact that Jaguar made a really unremarkable and undistinguished car.

  • Fat ass.))

  • I think this car looks beautiful. It looks like a mix between a bently and a Rolls Royce. I don't really like the LED though, but it's growing on me.

  • Jaguar forgot about their design clues. What an ugly piece of crap. Front grill looks like a mix of 300 & Volvo. Back looks like a mix of Continental GT and Cadillac. Front light have LEDs like an Audi.

  • @freddytuber Grill is styled from the Series III Jaguar XJ6, not a volvo or chrystler. And who can complain if the back looks simmilar to a Bently?!?!?! Thats a sexy car!

  • Audi side windows, Maserati rear

  • the back is starting to grow on me now!!!!!!!

  • The back on this SUCKS!! It's a pretty good looking car otherwise though, which is disappointing as a Jaguar fan and owner.

  • yea the back is strange, doesnt fit in with the rest of the car

  • the back and front designs look great seperatly, but when u put them togheter , it's a bit ugly.

The designs just don't match , it's like two cars where merged into one.

  • i don't understand why the back just squares off. I mean it should have a muscular look or just continue with the sleek lines. But still a great design. Personally I still prefer the old XJ. THat was just a classic design.

  • @minibus1351 It does not exactly square off, but it is more square than some, but that helps in aerodynamics. This car has a lower drag coeficient than alot of sports cars on the road. And thats amazing for such a big car.

  • the taillights should have been similar to the XF but have a break to make it look angry. i never liked Jag, but this car is beautiful

  • the BACK IS UGLY

  • I say it once and I say it again give me the 2009 XJ Jaguar . Next time do what Ford did for the 2005 and 2010 Mustang. Build it and they will come.

  • It looked good... until I saw the back. smh

  • agree.

  • I like it too:)))))

  • I dont know, but i like it.

  • I don't know exactly what some people expect from a motor car these days. It looks better than any lux' sedan on the market today, yet people still moan!.. A car has to drive well, be practical & roomy, not just be good to look at!!...Jeeeessshhh!

  • Horrible, just horrible. How can you call this design? The grill is from the Chrysler 300, tail lights from a Cadillac DeVille, trunk lid from a Bentley Continental, air intakes from a 911, silhouette Bentely Continental (front half) and from a Mercedes CSL (back half), it just make me puke all over it and I want to slap the responsible people around a little for their stupidity!

  • not bad for a car. horrible for a jag. lacks pedigree and class, which jaguars had stood for (like it or not). that was the one edge that jag had had over bmw and mercedes. now they have thrown it out the window. there are better ways to bring jag to the 21st century than this.

heck if you replaced the leaping cat logos with the blue oval, i doubt so many would be ranting/raving about the design.

  • It 's far sleeker & sexier than the bland boxy cars the Germans seem to be making these days.

  • Lacks pedigree and class? What makes a car have pedigree and class? Old, bland, and posh looking? Driven by strreotypical Brits who supposedly drink tea and crumpets all day? Give me a break, I for one think it's glamorous, sleek, stunning, and yet it still manages to have a sense of class. Jaguar is redefining what class is, as Ian Callum said Jag's are fast beautiful cars meant to be driven by fast, young, cool and beautiful people.

  • Comment removed

  • If you liked the old one better by a fucking older model you prick.

  • if only i wish young, cool, beautiful people like me (XD) could afford it..... ;)

  • I AGREE COMPLETELY. i was about to post a comment, but it was going to be almost exactly what you said. If there was a Hyundai logo on it, people wouldn't take a second look, the jag design team has absolutely thrown their edge away.

  • It's absolutely stunning, although in reality the new XJ is the C-XF with a Maybach back end.

It's great to see the change with Jag. Give it a few years and Jaguar will claim some much over due market domination in a world plauged with BMW burnout.

  • this car looks perfect

  • a great actor MJ dies and a great car XJ comes alive!

  • Comment removed

  • I see some design elements from C-XF!!!

I love the LED lights... it's becoming the ultimate symbol of 21st century Luxury cars... I absolutely admire Ian Callum's work!!! He knows how to design great CARS.....

    AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

  • you love the led lights but i think its not fair to copy the design from audi.

the halo or angel eyes are for bmw. those leds were for bmw jaguar just copied it. sad.

  • What a load of moaners.

  • Comment removed

  • And in the interior it's look like Jaguar XF,,,

    BMW 7 Series

    and Ford Mondeo !!!

  • I agree but for me the rear looks like the Bentley Continental....

  • How would that be a bad thing? The continental is Beautiful!

  • @manchiscap And that's a bad thing is it.

  • @LukeXgamer not really.

  • Racist much fontheking? If it wasn't for the Indians Jag would have fallen, Jag has been able to stand on it's feet because of the funding the Indians have provided, so quit your B.S. The designer is British, and everything that deals with the cars themselves is British

  • Looks like a XF on Steiods.

  • And before I forget

If you look at the rear lights in a specific angle, you can see some details derived from the rear lights of the previous XJ and they're probably after the Maserati Quattroporte.

  • I'm speechless although I think they've overdid the front the size of the front grill and the headlights are a bit too slant but overall a great new design. I am really surprised about this car. I thought the XF was the most advance looking jag but this is something else and at last, interior is now very modern yet classy. Great job Jaguar. Now it's time for making that XJR or replacing that X type and now were talking. And it's got daytime running lights like those new cars from Merc and Audi.

  • @mondesost2202008 if they remake the x-type I garentee there will be alot of moaners. I love the x-type but alot of jaguar owners that have the more expensive jaguars hate it, because they feel it brings the jaguar name down. I have an XJR and a SIII XJ6, and I still love the x-type, but I dont think it will be good for Jaguar to remake it

  • Well the only reason I think they hated the X-type is that under the skin of the X-type lies a Ford Mondeo which ruins the image of Jaguar.

Well I don't bother anymore. Jaguar wants to be a more exclusive brand than before so I respect that.

Now If only they were planning on a Roadster then now we are talking!!

  • I dont see why it ruins the image of Jaguar. Its a very nice car, even though it has the chasis of the mondeo or not, its still a nice car. The style says Jaguar, and the interior says Jaguar. I mean your right, thats what most saw in the x-type, but its a shame, because it really is a good car

  • I don't think it's the looks or the britishness of the car though because it much resembles the bigger Jaguar XJ which is my favorite Jaguar of all time.

The reason is because with the X-type, even though it's very exclusive because many preferred to buy a BMW, Merc or Audi, made Jaguar a bit less of the exclusive brand much like BMW is right now. Jaguar nowadays is aiming for a much more upper class customer and exclusivity so the X-type isn't really necessary.

    By the way, merry Christmas!

  • Thats true. The funny thing is, that companies like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, all have a lower end car (BMW with the 1 series, Merc. with their C class, and Audi with the A4), And a very high end car (Merc. has the AMG and Maybach, BMW has the M, Audi has the S line) But Jaguar, for whatever reason, should not have an entry level car like the X-Type. I understand their goal, and Im not really complaining, its just interesting. And Merry Christmas to you too!!!

  • Don't forget BMW has Rolls Royce and Audi has Bentley.

I don't think Jaguar needs a higher end car because they're already exclusive enough compared to their German rivals.

And don't forget that aside from the higher end cars the German rivals have, they also have Estates, SUVS and such which makes them less exclusive so they need a higher end car to keep themselves exclusive.

The Full sized and Midsized Executive Saloons and the Coupe/Convertible GT cars are all Jaguar needs.

  • I didnt know Audi had Bently. I knew audi had lamborghini, porche, and VW, but I didnt know about Bently. Haha yah, thats one thing i have liked about Jaguar, No SUV's! Well, Landrover is basically Jaguar, but still, not SUV with Jaguar on it. Jaguar still makes the x-type, but only in England It looks really nice too! Im not sure if it still has ford in it or not tho...

  • Well Audi is currently owned by Volkswagen who owns Bentley as well as Porsche. Land Rover is something like a Jaguar Off Roading Division since they're owned by one company but of course it's a different brand.

I like the X type too. I like the fact that Jeremy Clarkson proved that the 4wd system of the Xtype is good by driving the sedan down a ski slope and the Estate (which said to have a bigger luggage space than it's rivals) in the snow. Interior is very welcoming compared to others too.

  • Ok cool. Good to learn something once in a while lol!

Yes, that was good. All but 1 test for the x-type on top gear was in the snow. Gotta love Top-Gear!

  • @mondeost2202008 an xj roadster would be very nice but all that gear in it would be hard to pull off

  • Not an XJ Roadster but a Jaguar Roadster. I'm thinking recreating the E-Type which is one of the best classic roadsters. I wouldn't really mind it being a soft top as long as it's a proper Jag Roadster but having a hardtop roof (lightweight if they can) the better.

That's what Jaguar needs. Fill up the empty spaces the legendary cars of it's older days have left. Maybe if they did in the future, I might be one of them buyers =D

  • They SHOULD have:

Kept the vertical vent on fender..why? Because the horizontal vent looks like EVERYone elses, Range Rover does it vertical, so should Jag. Brits!

They SHOULD have kept the 4 headlights...classic Jaguar icon. with fog lamps.

They Should have blacked out ENTIRE roofline...the c-pillar only looks dumb.

  • amazing !!!!! nice work JAG !!!!! Previous Xj and this new Xj are totally different....this looks really cool and futuristic.

  • after waiting a year...Jag does this CRAP? HORRIBLE C PILLAR IDEA. NO FOGS? ABANDON THE 4 LIGHT LOOK ? LOOKS LIKE A CHEAP MAXIMA NOW. CHEAP EXHAUST TIPS...SHOULD BE OVAL. GREAT INTERIOR...THANK GOD. BORING AUDI LED LITE BAR...WHY NO CAT EYES IDEA OR HALO EFFECT? The new XJ designers need to be fired!!!! I was going to order...now I will get a Panamera or Quattroprte instead after I sell my current XJ. WTF Jag???geezzzz. what a let down.
  • Interior I think is ok with exception of that steering wheel, which I hate...makes me think of the new Camaro steering wheel which I think to be ugly.

Panamera is definitely a winner...I'm excited to see this new Grand Bentley...maybe that'll put some pizazz back in.

  • orgasmic!!!

  • jaguar is officially back!!! keep up the good work, sexxxxy car

  • i like it, but the back lights remind me the Toyota solara or Maserati....
