ya i can imagine that being fun for sure, its fun to haul trailers well at least i think its fun. but in your case thats COOL hauling 30,000 lb. there should have been some people from the ford factory to record your truck hauling that and at the end they say americas truck is BUILT FORD TOUGH! lol
WOW NICE 30,000 lb your trucks a BEAST even if it aint goin fast thats impressive. You should always hold on to that truck, dnt ever sell it unless its a must.
We had to rig up a tire on the trailers tongue jack to keep a little weight off the truck, or else the front end would lift off the ground, plus it had to turn, we made it a dually seperated a foot apart with a large tube we used to make an axle with.
We didn't go much over 40 MPH on the highway for safety reasons, the truck ain't equiped to haul that kind of weight, and the highway had alot of rolling hills, man that was fun, I remember for the worst one we had to go in second gear. lol
i love the sound of the idi, brings back memories of the 91 and 94 f350 we had, what do you think is the heaviest weight you have pulled with your truck?
The heaviest witch was a one timer thing was about ~ 7 years ago when my grand father changed his mobile home from 1 campground to an other, a 110 mile trip. His mobile home is 10x60 and it's an older one from the early 80's witch must weigh somewhere around 30,000 pounds. But we didn't go very fast, had a chase car with a "Wide Load" sign and we were good to go.
Other than that, we had a big slide-in truck camper before having the motorhome, witch truck and camper was around 10-11,000 pounds
Man I keep looking through all your old videos of your diesel truck and it reminds me of my old f-250 thats no longer around and makes me wanna go down to the car auction and by one lol. Well i can wait I got a friend with a 90 F-250 with a 7.3. 4x4, flat bed, dually, that he is gonna sell soon. Only bad thing is its an automatic
you should have said something a la Davidsfarm when you showed the frame on the drivers door... something along the lines of " No fucking floor on this side XD"
Does pushing the throttle pedal help these trucks start better, or does it not do anything during starting point?

It's supose to light up when the engine is cranking, it's to let the driver know it works.

Lol those old automatic diesels are no good for power on hills, standard are much better.
IDIDieselJohn 2 years ago
Yeah. Automatics aren't much good anywhere except for heavy down town traffic haha.
