  • Im with you too, brother. I have a 2002 1200XLT that had one of the oil lines come off and burned up the number 1 piston & cylinder. You're right, you cannot view & check where the oil lines connect to the nipples on the carbs. I have a service manual & taking mine apart now to replace the pistons & cyliners & oil lines. I will put a better clamp than the little plastic wire ties they used originally. The dealer at Lake Norman said they don't work on the 2 cycle models anymore.

  • I'll definitely reconsider on a Yamaha after seeing this. I'll make sure to spread the word on this one. C'mon Yamaha this is jacked up, do the right thing and buy this gentleman a new engine after all, the reason his engine blew up is because of a defect from the manufacture which has no expiration date for getting it fixed besides it's morally the right thing to do. What will it be Yamaha?

  • Won't work on anything over 10 years old. Why would I buy something from them if I keep it up and in 10 years they won't work on it. That's CRAZY. Repeat business and service is where they should be making most of their money. I was thinking of buying one from them but will go to Charlotte NC now to look for one. I am also letting all know about Crossroads YAMAHA.
