ok to the dude asking about the buzzzz sound check your tunning keys on the machine head of the guitar sometimes they get lose and will cause the string to bsss just tighten it with a philips screw in the center do not over tighten or you might strip the screw ,and if that dont work take it to a guitar shop and have them do a ajustment on it ,doesnt cost that much ,,,,,,jam on
Hi :D can you answer me on this question: i have acoustic guitar i play it like 2 monts i alerady know many of songs and chords etc... but my 6 strings start to make some strange noise...i bealive its called buzzing...it buzz when i play it chord or open sometimes...i dont know whats the problem...so if you or anyone else know pls answer i will apprecciate it :) and sory for my bad english :P
is that for each ACORD there are six beats for example G (DDUUDU) Gm (DDUUDU) D (DDUUDU) C (DDUUDU) because I do not know how to apply the time to beat ACORD sorry my English is not good because I'm a frocophone from newbrunswik
Pretty Cool lesson here, Covers the topic quite well. Ive just made a bunch of detailed courses for beginners and advanced guitarists that you might be interested in. Check it out! would love to know what you and anyone watching this video thinks. Its totally free, and i mean TOTALLY
I love your style of teaching. Thanks David. I am 49 and decided to try to pick up the guitar. You are making me look / sound very decent for a newbie!
music can't be bought brother, the reason the soul of classic rock is dying is because people are all trying to profit from music like you are, Share what you know with the next generation and we will stop having these sorry excuses for bands - Linkoln park - greenday to name a couple
hey, iv been trying to play guitar for months now, watching as many videos as i can. I can pretty much do it, but im having trouble with chords. I dont know why but whenever i try a chord, at least one of the strings (where my fingers on) doesnt make a sound. Also, i think my guitar is out of tune, but im not sure how to find out.
Dear Guitar Man, Thanks SO very much for these videos! I just dropped like $900 on a new acous/elect guitar yesterday -- with these videos I sound like I know what I'm doing. My boyfriend just smiles at me because he can't believe how fast I am progressing :-) I know I still need lots of work, but even some of my friends said "You must have been playing a long time." --lol-- Do u have any videos on diff fingerpick styles? I love fingerpickn'!! If u don't, make some PLZZZZ
thanks so much, i have wanted to start to learn to play for a while now, and i'm going to give it a try after my exams, so your videos are really helpful and easy to follow, so thanks :-)
do you think you need to keep the struming the same all the way througth or can you vary it alot, staying in time of course? Thanks for vid, nice detail
sure, to move your playing forward you will want to try and vary the strum - playing different patterns and rhythms within the same song and even changing the strum from chord to chord - check out some of my other lessons here as I have some lessons on just that. rockon!
Hi - depends - when recording video lessons I usually plug it in to an amo and mic the amo so I can control the audio levels on video - but sometimes I mic the acoustic up close with no amp and at times I just have a room mic - all depends on the setup I want that day and the sounds I need to capture - If I remember right on this video I think I am going unplugged with just a room mic - but I am not totally sure as I film so much its tough to remember every session
i need help, i play electric guitar, but im gettin into acoustic, i can play chord songs in electric, like hotel california, and thinga like that, but when i play in acoustig with the same chords, sounds kinds.... weird, like too strong, why?
The most profound thing my guitar tutor said to me was that as a musician I only have control over two things.
The note value, of which you are limited to the range between 0 to 12 and the note time which you are limited to the range of 0 to infinity. A bit philosophical I know but it has stuck in my head and is very true :)
Hi - the guitar I used in this lesson is a Taylor GS5 - it has a cedar top and tropical american mahogany back and sides - warm and rich sounding acoustic for sure
@rockindavid310 at least for me.. i've played a $1700 martin acoustic but it doesn't seem to sound any better than a takamine or a laguna acoustic.. but martin is a big name i guess you paying for the top of the line wood and top of the line manufacturing.. i'm comparing sound wise. but everyone has their own opinion. thnx:)
@Dannicthemanic yes they are.. and affordable too!. haha but they have those really expensive ones. but i wish i'd have a taylor or a martin guitar LOL.. show off:)
i have been learning guitar of youtube for the past 3 months and so far this is the most easiest video to understand
