"There's a big brown fish lookin' at me. He ain't got no eyes. How could that motherfucker possibly see? Ooh baby baby, I'm afraid it's gonna touch me". Toilet humour at its very best!
Long been a Zappa & Beefheart fan. Just watched Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention - Under Review. Thanks for sharing these three début tracks! Anyone complaining about sonic quality needs a to take "early music tech 101" - seriously, I've heard worse sounding tracks from the 80s!
01:25 has to be the earliest use of the word "motherfucker" I've heard in music. Elvis Presley shaking his hips was still considered shocking back in 1959.
What an incredible debut. The raw, overwhelming talent was instantly apparent from the second that the teenage Vliet first opened his mouth. It's hard to believe that Zappa supposedly had to coax him into singing at the beginning.
