it was watching john and milton on tv that made me want to go into showjunping myself. i grew up with posters of milton all over my walls, and up untill a few years ago i was actually traing riders in showjumping.

i have to admit it though milton was fantastic on his own but he was ultra amasing because of his partnership with jhon. no-one else could of done that!!!

He is such a gorgeous horse, he reminds me so much of my old horse fonzie whos show name was fonlake of milton he was also 16.2 hh and a Dutch Warmblood Fonzie was exactly like milton, he even did the leap at 0.37. He jumped 1.8m and was grey, but unfortunately he died 2 years ago from colic! and I have no photos of him as they all got burnt in a fire a year ago!

What kills me about this horse (besides his perfect face, his legendary power and everything else) is the fact that even though he had such a long back, he was so supple. He truly was a legendary horse. And...as strange as it may seem to say so...Damn! he was sexy!!!!! :-)

IMO, it's utterly pointless to argue about who, between Gem Twist and Milton, was the better one. If you truly love horses, you just have to be thankful that these two equine gods came into our lives.

i love how he leaps into the air- that all started becuase early in his career john [whittaker] was collecting and award after winning something, and he was very exciting and began to rear up and jump about, so he said he would "work on it". not too sure what happened but basically the horse loved being the center of attention and would leap into the air on que as if jumping an imaginary fence!
