This should never have happened. They understood flash floods. The person who called the camp and told them to leave immediately should have told them to stay put. Sad situation. I am proud of that news chopper pilot who put down the camera and helped rescue those kids.
i think that she was caught in it but there was a lot of debris and it could have held her under the water when she tried to swim but its only a theory

it could kill you if you get tangled in it,
the water goes was if you get caught in it it could : choke you or make you unable to swim in which case you drown

I remembered when this happen I was 17 years old and visiting family members in New Braunfels, Tx which is not far from Comfort, Tx
