GT2 and 3 had the best intros. But the GT2 intro in this seems shorter then what I remember. Is that just the difference between the US and European (I'm assuming because of the subtitles) release?

why didn't the gt4 intro have van halen at the end? what a shitty alternative song for the pal version (or whatever version you used). gt4 with the van halen song is the best gran turismo intro hands down, without that song, gt5 spec 2 intro was the best. the original gt5 intro sucked though, my chemical romance blows, thank god they got rid of it

GT always has the best intros. Even now, when most devs are content to put together some 3-second intro with shitty music, PD takes the time to make the intro as awesome and engaging as possible. That just goes to show you how PD leaves no stone unturned when it comes to making games. :)

Its interesting how as time progressed, the GT games got increasingly worse..

The Gran Turismo series crested at GT2. GT was like a playable documentary about cars. You literally, had to become a car geek just to play this game proficiently. It was actually an educational experience. Many people took this game seriously because it assumed the best of its players intellectually. But I think as it got more popular, it got progressively dumber. Graphics aside, the series isn't the same anymore...

@KLINGY94 Depends on the region. The Japanese versions always have some version of Moon Over the Castle as the opening song, but for North America and Europe, they'll use other songs instead (though for GT4, they had the decency to keep the intro to the theme for everyone).
