can anyone give me more spec on the un signwritten rwd cossie tranny? Id really like to build a new shape cossie tranny like that, was it out of a 2.3 lpg?
@johnsteele23 yeah mate it was, have a look on fordtransit<dot>org/forum in the progress section theres a full build thread, search for cossy YB mk6 it's my cousins van and i built it with him, we're just getting it back on the road with a few more bhp and different back axle, all being well it'll be on the transit forums stand at ford fair this august (2010) and he should do the sprint with it pop over and say hello i'll give you any advice you need! i'll definatly be there with my 24v mk2 van
main problem with the cossy van was the origanal (towing spec) axle ratio was unsuitable the engine doesnt have the low down power to pull off in 2nd well enough, and he does too many gear changes through the run - going over the line in 4th :(
not taking anything away from the nitrovan - it's the absolute bollox and on the day it was the quicker van!
yeh understand totally but i have a vr6 box and that is low ratio too...i went into fourth at 70mph, had too set off in first gently so we all had probs getting away! like your van mate looked cool
errm u fancy selling lol love the van ;)
