i just uploaded a video of an oil painting that took me 5 months to finish.
i would like to get some feedback on it. so if everyone that reads this could check it out and let me know what you think it would help me out! the video is called -- monumental oil painting- from start to finish. thanks everyone!
wow, I really love your paintings! my favorite is curly ponytailed hair lady, looking down. I also noticed you have so much detail, yet color is so beautiful (i gett muddy T T ). I dream to reach that level..so motivating!!
Thank you very much. To be frank, there is very little "detail" in my paintings. The viewer's eyes fill in the "detail". I use as large a brush as I can and never anything smaller than a #4 filbert. There is much pushing of paint around and letting it dry or get tacky and then scumbling over it. Glazes, you might say. Broad masses of tone and never ever painting an eye or a mouth or a nose. These things take form as the form takes shape.
The eyes are last - last last. If the face is done well, you don't need eyes to recognize the person. You can paint the eyes any way you want at that point.
Thank u for posting this. It´s totally fabulous. I´m spechless. I think your choice Ravel´s Le jardin féerique was great. Maybe u should more extend changing your beautiful paintings and let push through all the piece. But it´s only pettiness. It´s dynamic assembly of arts. Just gorgeous.
Such a wonderful gift and talent you posses. I found your site from your comment about the mockery of Rembrandt in the video with the men and their acrylics...I side with you on that by the way, and also thank you for showing your life (art) and soul here, so that others like myself can be enriched by your talent.
This is a impressive video! It makes one reflect on the faces of those whom they themselves know and ponder who the people in these paintings are to you. Beautiful music once again ;)
Tatsu, I think the music really adds something to the pictures. It makes them more than a series of unknown faces to the person who does not know anything about those faces.

You are a very great and gifted artist! I'm sorry that painting is obviously not your profession, it should be, you're that good! Bee

Thank you! None of these are for sale. The video is not for sale in that all I did was load individual photos into a program to make the slide show.
All my best to you as well.

Thank you, Jennifer.
As for the music, you need to listen to the whole of the piece. It is in the "Mother Goose Suite". It ends with a glorious explosion.
