I would however would like to see a new threat the Aliens unleash upon the world, like more reinforcements and even new aircraft but hey. We would most likely get a sequel with a different location, telling how they fought the battle there.

So they kinda were a little bit of both, but if you mean like the superiors of their military coming to earth then that's a pretty cool idea.

@MarcusFenixGt I love this movie too! It's my new, favorite film! I like how realistic it is, and not cheesy or anything. This music track, along with the scene for it during the Marines deployment aboard the helicopters is AMAZING!! I love how you can see the aliens trying to shoot down the helos, along with US Army Tanks engaging the aliens on the streets of LA, all the while civilians are running for their lives. On top of that, the A-10 Warthogs and fighter jets screaming by. AWESOME!

From 2:00 onward, I think this was the part of the movie where they first flew into L.A. in the CH-46s. I remember being mesmerized by the entire scene and the score went PERFECT with it. Hell I can just about imagine it while listening to this. Good stuff!

@a50745 I said a very similar thing on the 'GamesCom09' upload. That scene for me is the stand-out part of the film. It's mesmerising and very powerful. It's the scene of utter devastation, the music and of course the shocked look on the faces of the marines. A sort of "oh my god, war has come home" type look. It works so brilliantly.
