Well I like both games... IL 2 and aces high II dont know why people figth so much on these videos' coments, I mean... they are completly different game styles and you can find your fun for both of them.,.. in both you can create your missions and terrains and also skins... in both you can join great figths online and offline... well both are great games. the ONLY thing that gets me is that for aces high you have to pay 15 bucks per month to play online so i stick with the off missions and IL 2
@Jezkipezki actually there is offline mode that isn't planes flying in circles you just never figured the game out. Also there is a free two week free trial to see the online play. The flight model in IL-2 is not that great each plane feels very much the same and the punch out many planes in fast succession because of this. Aces High makes each plane exactly how it is in real life making each plane unique and have a different personality then the next. Plus Aces High has much larger servers.

ACES high has a much better online community. aces>il2 i've played them both for a year or two. il2 has realism on aces, but if you wanna play online, cough up $15 a month
IL-2 games feel very finished and polished. Aces High 2 comes off as still needing some adjustments.. If you know what I mean. It's a great game though.
@greencurrycamo i was bitter about the H2H being taken away and you had to subscribe to it, i liked the 8 player because it was free and it wasnt bloated, along with the custom maps it really was a bad loss, i still like the game however though

the controls in this game are tottally fucked up, theres no way what so ever to rise when in the air, youll evetually start falling and then your screwed, unless anyone would tell me how to rise

yea i made mine like 2 days ago spent 4€ an ir leds made the 4 lead hat with a plug to put a 6v transformer.. its amazing all i need now is a good cheap webcam cuz im using my nokia mobile phone as a webcam and yet with the low fps it still works perfect
Thanks man! I recommend Free Track to everybody. I made the headtracker a few days ago, a 2DOF for IL-2 and it works great. I used the batteryholder and the led of an old remote control. You saved me 200 dollar.

it's a free game if you want the demo version wich I have but even that is incredible!You can also get in tanks and other vehicles...it's a little bit on the hard side though.
i made 3LED cap model and it works perfect in the SKULL DEMONSTRATION WINDOW, but when i go to play aces high 2- nothing happens....i have checked the ingame option for TrackIR detection- but still nothing...any suggestions?

well the realism of il-2 is better, in aces high gunnery is way to easy. so if you like realism go il-2.
if you like it easy go aces high.
the only thing that il-2 needs that aces high has, is the huge map and this warfare mode.
this is something that would make il-2 online better.
but when it comes to the flight model il-2 is more realistic and so it´s simply better

Actually, this game has better flight dynamics than MS Flight Simulator. Then comes X-Plane, and on last place MSFS.

Head movements only need to be very small, the maximum movement would be 20 degrees away from the screen to check six. It feels very natural.
