In belgium, Metallica plays Werchter festival which is pop ( with Cold Play !!!) and it's not the first time !!!

Maiden and Megadeth play only in metal festivals (with Judas Priest, Slayer,...).

Why would ppl thumb you down?! Are you ppl insane. We should all recognize the fact that Master of Puppets is THE thrash album of all time! It kept that underground, heavy unprocessed sound of thrash while entering a mainstream acceptance. Alot of these bands, (Megadeth & Slayer, which I love.) say they sold out but listen; if your a BIG act yourself shut your money filled mouths. You cater to a mainstream audience too! The METAL MAINSTREAM!

Too right man, I prefer metallica over megadeth (big fan of both thought, no hate!) and even i know MoP would be no where close....The Black Album (self title album) was 100 x better then MoP.

The S&M performance was one of thier best too...much like rude awakening is one of Megadeths, all of this is IMO though.

Kill'em All would probably be my second fav album by Metallica though, not ride The lightening

They just changed their sound, not who they are. They're like what 40 years old? All thrash bands don't act "thrash" anymore its getting too old for them. And exposing more different talents is what musicians like, not the same stuff for 50 years. Thats why anthrax and slayer is the least main popular thrash band outta the big 4.

Thats because when they came out with Endgame months after Death Magnetic people started to approve Megadeth, cause they were on the Jimmy Fallon show and played Headcrusher. I wouldn't say they kept is thrash because Risk and Cryptic Writings we're just normal heavy metal albums. SLAYER on the other hand always kept it thrash. Fast and powerful but not enough respect. Megadeth also starred in a cartoon but I don't know if thats selling out. Selling out is when you completely make your band

commercialized. All Metallica did was change their sound or approached different music. They're not the only ones either. Chris Poland from Megadeth quit for good and went to jazz. Marty quit cause he didn't like metal as much anymore so he's in to Japanese Rock. Nick Menza went on softer metal and rock. So Metallica isn't singled out as "sell outs"

I'm glad that they DID kick out Dave cause Megadeth is about 25% better than all thrash bands. And I dont like Slayer cause they're so repetitive.
