Hey man, great tone and playing. I have a similar setup myself. That is a RV50 and an Orange PPC 212 with a Les Paul Std. How do you get your tone in this video? I mean, do you run any pedals or is it straight guitar, amp, cab, mic? Really appreciate any info. Great job!
Cubase le4 is pretty good for beginner recorders. The Shure sm57 is a great mic for guitar. I suggest using multiple mics tho. Try using a condenser and a dynamic at the same time. If your short on cash tho the sm57 is great.
love your tone dude! unmistakable orange growl!

Great review on the speakers dude. I think I'm gonna look into these less expensive Celestion styled speakers!

I like you because you have great taste in music. :)

That sounds almost as much of the new Marshall Appetite amp as the new one does

@dpabercrombie20 It really shows that it's mainly the player that makes the sound :P

Awesome! love the quality of sound. I'm thinking about getting one of these mics as well (or it might be MXL V67).

Do you use the Guitar Rig Sessions I/O only as a preamp or do you also use Guitar Rig software for modeling amps?

Nice sound. Ever use a Sennheiser E609 on a cab? Nice alternative to the 57.

how loud is the amp here? do you have to crank it pretty loud to get good recording quality? a good and alive tone?
marcusmarkmus 2 years ago
Excellent tone...would you recommend mic'ing an amp over the various hardware/software available such as Line 6 Toneport or Guitar Rig?
Conor4049 2 years ago 2
@Conor4049 Micing an amp is a lot harder and more expensive, but sounds much better if done properly.
